This is my first time making it onto Three Rivers, so I'm honestly a little humbled and surprised. Someone reminded me I should say something for the occasion, so here we go.
To be honest, I never expected this book to attract so many readers. Watching the chapter comments pile up and seeing more people join in, some of their feedback had me bowing in admiration. I often think, "Man, if only I'd posted this earlier, I could've crowdfunded my way through it!"
Sure, there are some silly jokers out there, but the talented commenters really do brighten my day. With so many readers involved, I feel proud to share in this journey.
At the end of the day, this is just something I write for fun, and I hope you all enjoy it. Don't take it too seriously.
Let's face it—Taila is just a manga artist who doesn't even understand One Piece that well. By the same token, I'm just a novelist who understands One Piece even less. All I'm doing is creating some light-hearted stuff based on the original atmosphere.
