Dark Tuners are a unique monster type exclusive to the anime, not found in real cards. They are special Tuner monsters used by the anime's antagonists, the Dark Signers, for "Dark Synchro Summons."
As everyone knows, Synchro Monsters are simply the addition of numbers up to twelve. The level of the Tuner monster plus the level of the other monster determines the level of the Synchro Monster being summoned.
Dark Synchro involves subtraction. Subtract the levels of other monsters from the level of the Dark Tuner, and the result is the level of the Dark Synchro Monster being summoned.
Dark Synchro Monsters all have negative levels, symbolizing the offensive counterattack of the Underworld monsters against the human world.
However, only those with the Dark Mark can control Dark Synchro Monsters. According to the original anime, Godwin should not yet have the Dark Mark.
But at this moment, Youxuan looked at Godwin's right hand and noticed that the area from his wrist to his elbow was glowing with the purple markings of a Dark Mark, standing out like an Led in the darkness.
