After hearing Leon’s response, Scorpio Director couldn’t help but blink in confusion.
What does ‘six’ mean? Not handing over the remaining six Sin Demon Gods? Or is there a way to buy six days? Or something else…
“I’m back.”
Just as Scorpio Director was puzzled by the meaning of Leon’s last word before hanging up, Capricorn Director had already ended his argument with the Nine Archangels and returned, sighing with a troubled expression.
“The negotiations didn’t go well…”

Seeing Capricorn Director’s double talk, Scorpio Director felt a bit dizzy, taking a moment to catch up before asking in a dazed manner:
“Did they say why they’re so insistent on those conditions?”

“Because the Aon Church has influenced too many angels. ‘Luckily, I have a decent temperament! If it were Cancer or Aquarius here, with their short tempers, they would probably have already broken off negotiations! ‘I just had a quick chat with Aquarius and told him about the Nine Archangels’ conditions. What do you think…’
“What?!”
Surprised by Scorpio Director’s words, Capricorn Director’s expression tightened, and he quickly asked:
‘What did Aquarius say? How did he react to those conditions?’
‘Um… he seemed a bit upset, but not too intensely?’
Recalling his conversation with Leon, Scorpio Director gently reassured:
‘Don’t worry, I think Aquarius has a good personality. It’s not as bad as you make it out to be.’
‘?? Are you serious??’
‘Really, I am.’
After some thought, Scorpio Director gave an example, a bit embarrassed:
‘Last time I said some harsh things, and he didn’t get mad at me. He didn’t even make me apologize, just brushed it off. And after I told him about the Nine Archangels’ conditions, although he didn’t seem too happy, he agreed to all of them.

After hearing Scorpio Director’s account, Capricorn Director was taken aback, his tension easing a bit, and he said with a hint of admiration:

After waving to the confused Sin Demon Gods, Leon, who had ended the call, kicked open the coffin lid of the Sloth Demon God and said with a grim expression:
"The Nine Archangels just woke up. I’m planning to attack Heaven’s Mountain and aim to resolve it within two days… You six have been fighting the Nine Archangels for a long time, so you should be familiar with their situations. Tell me about their abilities and conditions right now!"

The Nine Archangels and the seven Sin Demon Gods are roughly on the same level. If we move quickly and attack before Heaven’s Mountain makes a decision, we stand a good chance of quickly defeating the Nine Archangels. Then, with our superior forces, we can handle the incoming Crimson Sovereign and the Heavenly Cicada of All Things.
However, if we continue negotiating with the Nine Archangels or even accept a weakening, we’ll lose our initiative. By the time the Crimson Sovereign and the Heavenly Cicada of All Things arrive, we might even be at Heaven’s Mountain’s mercy.
Moreover, considering the Aon Church incident, if the Nine Archangels suspect we’re eyeing Heaven’s Mountain, they might even ally with the Slayer King Guild. That’s a situation I absolutely cannot accept.
Even if what the Nine Archangels want is just the “safety” of Heaven’s Mountain, hoping to secure a guarantee while they still have leverage, I absolutely cannot give them that “safety”!
After reaffirming his decision, Leon looked at the puzzled Sin Demon Gods and answered seriously:
"Because we can’t afford to gamble, and neither can they."
