Chapter 1025: Shadow of Another World
Chapter 1025: Shadow of Another World
"Hey? Are you there?"
"Stop sleeping. I have a few questions for you."
"..."
A moment of silence.
Then, a surge of overwhelming darkness engulfed Youxuan, the black mist spreading like a nightfall, swallowing the furniture, the dormitory, and the entire academy around him, leaving only an all-encompassing darkness. It was just like the Elder God's Domain in the Sealed Land.
From the darkness, massive, twisted, and indescribably terrifying shadows began to emerge.
Yeshen·Eradicator, Eternal God of Darkness, Deity of Fear, and Yeshen·Divine Incarnation slowly rose before him, their eyes filled with cold, sinister light.
"We're all family now, so don't look at me so coldly", Youxuan said with a smile. "I just have a few questions for you."
Eradicator snorted, "What's there to talk about?"
"Just about what you've been mentioning", Youxuan said. "You've talked about other worlds beyond ours, right?"
The three Yeshen exchanged glances.
Then, the Deity of Fear spoke in a deep, dull voice, "You already know about that, don't you?"
When they tried to provoke Youxuan's fear, they instead saw something that even Yeshen feared: the vast expanse of worlds beyond their own, realms they had never witnessed. These worlds were extensions of the laws of summoning, and from these ever-changing laws, countless dimensions had emerged, surpassing their understanding.
The Yeshen were still in shock, wondering about Youxuan's origins and how he knew so much.
Youxuan said, "Yes, I know our world is likely part of a multiverse. I know parallel realities probably exist, and I have some understanding of the laws of other dimensions. But that doesn't explain your situation."
He paused, scanning the three Yeshen, his eyes narrowing.
"You have had contact with other dimensions, haven't you?"
"Is your recent revival related to that contact?"
The Yeshen fell silent again, no one speaking.
After a few seconds, Divine Incarnation finally spoke.
"It's fine to tell you now. After all, it seems our agreement is broken", Divine Incarnation said in a low voice.
As soon as he spoke, Eradicator angrily chimed in, "That bastard said he would help us in a pinch. But now, there's not even a trace of him."
"I told you we shouldn't have trusted him", Eradicator continued, but he suddenly felt the cold gaze of Divine Incarnation and shivered, quickly falling silent.
Youxuan asked, "So, you do have an ally. Who is it?"
"We don't know", Divine Incarnation said coldly.
"I hope you can find the one who broke his word. But unfortunately, we don't know who he is."
"At the time, we were in complete darkness, and the seal was far from breaking. Then, that guy appeared."
"He came from another world, and we could sense it because his aura was completely different."
"He said he could help loosen the seal and give us a chance. He showed us the future, a future of chaos and destruction. Not just this world, but all dimensions, countless dark futures. Worlds colliding and destroying each other, dark deities rising, and generations of Duel kings falling."
Divine Incarnate stared unblinkingly at Youxuan.
"He said that it was our time. A time of darkness, chaos, and despair, and we were born for such an era."
Youxuan asked, "Then he gave you cards from other worlds?"
"Exactly", Divine Incarnate replied.
"He gave you the so-called 'Supreme Sun' from the Planet Series, and other cards. Even the 'Fallen Angels' deck."
Divine Incarnate didn’t say it, but he was also shocked when he first encountered the 'Fallen Angels' deck. This deck was indeed powerful. While Yeshen had always been strong, his strength mainly came from himself, and he didn’t have a systematically powerful deck. Even when they engaged in duels, they often relied on their divine fate power to overwhelm opponents, and the cards they used weren’t particularly sophisticated.
They considered themselves gods, believing that their strength in duels came from their divine nature, not from the deck. They thought that simply by summoning themselves, they could easily crush any enemy without needing deck support.
But even such proud gods were moved when they first encountered the Fallen Angels system from that person.
What a powerful system!
It could easily retrieve and manage any resource from the deck—though this wasn’t particularly important to gods who were confident in their own fate power.
What mattered more to them was that this deck could effortlessly summon a large number of high-level Fallen Angels. It had a fast setup and excellent sustainability. More importantly, it often didn’t require normal summon points, making it easier to prepare the three sacrifices needed for Yeshen’s arrival in a single turn, compared to their previous decks.
Even the "God's Evolution" they used this time was brought from another world by that person.
However, when they mentioned this, the Yeshen’s gaze toward Youxuan seemed even more resentful.
Because it was clear that no matter how powerful those cards from other worlds were, they now belonged to Youxuan, along with the three of them.
"Even the Fallen Angels were given by someone from another world?"
Youxuan didn’t seem to mind the Yeshen’s unfriendly looks. He rested his chin on his hand and thought for a moment.
"So, you really have no idea where this person came from?"
"Did he ever engage in a duel? Did he use any new or unusual monster summoning methods?"
"No", Divine Incarnate replied.
But after a slight hesitation, he huffed.
"But there is one thing. It’s fine to tell you." Divine Incarnate said lightly, "Although that guy never revealed his true face, there was a moment when I seemed to sense the presence of an old acquaintance."
"Who?" Youxuan asked.
Divine Incarnate softly uttered a name.
"Zorc."
Youxuan furrowed his brow slightly.
He naturally thought of the person he had encountered not long ago. The one using the 'Dark Ruler Zorc' card, who was suspected to have a connection to the fallen Great Yeshen.
"Well, I’m just saying", Yeshen exhaled lightly and said, "It was just a momentary sensation. It might have been an illusion."
Youxuan didn’t press further.
Another world, huh?
Kaiba Corporation has been persistently exploring the interdimensional realms in recent years. They might discover something. He should check in with them when he has some free time.
