Chapter 1011: What Does This Mean?
Chapter 1011: What Does This Mean?
"Mountain Ghost Dance - First Style!"
Wang Long struck first, lifting a stone pillar and swinging it sideways like a sword. Though it was a massive stone column, his movements made it seem as weightless as foam, giving the illusion it could be easily blocked.
But anyone who fell for that illusion was doomed.
Liu Sheng Shi Hu had never engaged in a life-or-death battle with Wang Long before, but he knew from past encounters that this move could not be taken head-on.
He leapt backward instantly. As he jumped, the three cannons mounted on his arm locked onto Wang Long. Alongside the standard gun barrels, the cannons featured thick, heavy launchers. With a tremor of his arm, the trio fired three differently-colored cannonballs—scarlet, amber, and azure—slicing toward Wang Long.
"Three-Phase Cannon Fire!"
The three cannonballs—red, yellow, and blue—each embodied the pinnacle of Wano Country's craftsmanship.
The red one packed devastating explosive force, capable of demolishing an entire town with a single shot. The yellow one released hallucinogenic mist, not destructive but capable of plunging victims into disorienting illusions by exploiting the properties of Wano's "Adamant." The blue one, however, wasn't an explosive at all—it lacked explosive power but boasted unparalleled piercing capability, capable of penetrating any defense.
Combined, they delivered area-of-effect destruction, debilitating effects, and unstoppable penetration—a trifecta few could resist.
This was the essence of Liu Sheng Shi Hu's artisanship. Compared to his samurai skills, his mastery of crafting was his true forte.
Wang Long gripped the stone pillar, snorting coldly. "You're pulling out all the stops, huh, Liou Sheng? Have you really made up your mind?"
He raised the pillar overhead. "Mountain Ghost Dance - Second Style!"
The pillar roared downward with earth-shaking force, unleashing a shockwave that slammed into the incoming cannonballs.
Boom!!!
The air erupted with a deafening crack, the pressure wave acting as an invisible barrier that swallowed the explosion's force. The smoke barely managed to spread before being contained. Wang Long then thrust the pillar upward, channeling a gust that scattered the smoke skyward, clearing the battlefield entirely.
Wang Long knew exactly what that smoke contained—it wouldn't be defeated so easily.
"You bastard!"
Wang Long felt Liou Sheng's resolve, and Liou Sheng felt Wang Long's just as keenly. That "Mountain Ghost Dance" technique—he recalled it as Liou Sheng's signature move. Was Wang Long really going to use such a devastating technique here?
No matter what, he had to stop him!
Liou Sheng retracted his metallic arm guard and lunged forward, colliding midair with Wang Long, who had just dispersed the smoke.
Crash!
The hollow metal fist slammed into the stone pillar, splintering its surface with a sharp crack.
Liou Sheng grinned. "My weapon? 'Rockbreaker Ball'!"
He thrust his arm forward, amplifying the pressure. With a crisp snap, the pillar shattered along its cracks.
Destroy Wang Long's weapon first, seize the advantage!
That pillar was a huge pain to handle while intact.
Wang Long staggered, yanking the fragments back just as he lashed out with a devastating kick.
Liou Sheng gritted his teeth, absorbing the blow without retreating. The aperture-riddled gauntlet kept grinding against the broken pillar.
"Why?!"
Wang Long roared, charging forward. His gleaming head, wreathed in Haki, smashed into Liou Sheng's face, sending him flying backward. But at that moment, the pillar in Wang Long's hands was already riddled with cracks—another hit, and it would shatter completely.
"Why are you so determined to do this?!" Wang Long eyed the broken pillar, his voice low and tense.
Liou Sheng lifted his head, blood trickling from his nose, his grin darkening. "Aren't you the same? I won't let you do this either!"
"Then..."
Wang Long exhaled sharply, slamming the pillar down hard.
Crack!
The cracks deepened, splitting the pillar open to reveal a cold, metallic gleam inside.
With a swift motion, Wang Long reached in and seized the object hidden within—a hilt.
Inside the stone pillar... was a massive blade!
He took a deep breath, tightening his grip on the sword. Assuming a single-blade stance, he muttered grimly, "Don't blame me, Liou Sheng. I don't want to kill you."
"Convenient! I don't really want to either!"
Liou Sheng swung his arm, Armament Haki surging across his metallic armguard. "But some things must be done!"
In unison, they roared: "I'll stop you from destroying this place!"
"...!"
Both froze, staring at each other in confusion. "You're trying to stop me from what?"
Wang Long paused. "Aren't you here to avenge Ophi and destroy Dressrosa?"
"Isn't that what you're here for?" Liou Sheng fired back.
Well, this was awkward. They'd clearly misunderstood each other.
Liou Sheng twitched his lips. "I came here to find my inner path."
"Same with me." Wang Long pulled out the stolen Justice Faith from his robe. "I think this book can guide my way."
They exchanged another glance, then sighed heavily, glaring at each other and shouting simultaneously, "Why didn't you say so earlier?!"
They paused, staring for a long moment, then burst into laughter.
There was no need to fight. After all, they were on the same ship, familiar with each other's temperaments.
Wang Long knew Liou Sheng had joined Ophi purely by chance, often treating the pirate crew with indifference, acting more like an independent captain.
Liou Sheng also understood Wang Long was here to defeat Ophi, not out of loyalty to the crew.
Neither would go this far for mere revenge against Ophi.
Had they been manipulated? Was someone steering them toward Dressrosa to seek answers?
If so, they could travel together.
Wang Long relaxed his grip on the blade. Liou Sheng lowered his arm. Wang Long grinned, stepping toward Liou Sheng.
"Don't move."
Suddenly, soldiers encircled them.
A figure in wolf-like armor approached, sword drawn. "You are under arrest, remnants of the Unicorn Pirate Group."
They dared to cause chaos in Dressrosa?
David, his face hidden behind his visor, wore a grim expression. Ever since he'd unlocked his Conqueror's Haki, such situations had been rare.
Dressrosa was a rising power—not on the scale of Totto Land, but still influential. It wasn't a place for just anyone to provoke.
Thankfully, he was here. If they'd truly infiltrated so easily, how could he face his lord?
They were following every directive perfectly, but if they couldn't even defend their own territory, David would gladly take responsibility with his life.
Yet now, David felt uneasy. Pirates had infiltrated the capital undetected? If these two hadn't clashed, no one might have noticed. This exposed Dressrosa's influence as hollow, a dangerous vulnerability.
Clutching his blade, he advanced step by step. Regardless, first things first—kill these two.
Wang Long and Liou Sheng exchanged a glance, then abruptly bowed low as David approached, shouting in unison: "I am Wang Long (Liou Sheng Shi Hu)! We came here seeking the right path, not to make enemies!"
David froze, his attack posture easing as he stared at them, stunned.
This... what does this mean?
