Chapter 1010: Epilogue — Nineteen Years Later (Thanks to the generous million-level donation from our esteemed member, "You Have Me Truly Lonely"!)
"Due to the incompetent actions of the Ministers of Magic, the notorious Dark Wizard Grindelwald was able to recruit numerous followers in the Wizarding World, attempting to ignite a war between the realms of Magic and the real world..."
In the morning in London, within the luxurious mansion of the Hales Family, Ivan was holding a young witch with beautiful blonde hair, less than ten years old, and telling her stories from the past.
"And then? And then! Father, you must have stopped him, right?" The young witch asked eagerly, her large round eyes filled with anticipation and admiration.
"Hmm, well..." Ivan deliberately drew out his words, waiting until the young witch grew impatient before ruffling her hair and teasingly said, "Emma, if you don't pick at your food and eat properly this morning, I'll tell you what happened next!"
Emma pouted, looking unhappy, while a slightly older little warlock couldn't help but interject.
"I know that part! Later, Father, you had a one-on-one Duel with Grindelwald in the Department of Mysteries at the French Ministry of Magic, killed this Dark Lord, and averted a looming war!"
"Liam, spoiling the story isn't a good habit..." Ivan sighed and playfully flicked little Liam's forehead. He had finally found a way to encourage his daughter to eat better, but now it was ruined.
Emma opened her mouth to say something but then saw her mother, Hermione, walking out of the kitchen with a tray. Her eyes darted around, and the words she was about to say changed. She smiled mischievously and asked, "Do you know where Mother was at that time, Liam? She must have fought alongside Father, right?"
"That's impossible. I heard Mother was still at Hogwarts at that time, and she wasn't as powerful as Father, so she couldn't have helped much..." Liam shrugged, but as soon as he finished speaking, he felt a chill run down his spine.
Liam shivered and turned his head to see his mother, Hermione, standing behind him, staring at him with a half-smile.
Liam immediately realized he had fallen for Emma's trick and glared at his sister in annoyance. Unfortunately, his Petrifying Gaze, which sometimes went out of control, had been sealed by Ivan, so his glare was ineffective.
Emma wasn't afraid of her brother's anger. She stuck her tongue out at Liam and then hid in Ivan's arms, giggling secretly...
"You're wrong, Liam. I was able to defeat Grindelwald thanks to your mother's help!" Ivan laughed, interrupting the sibling squabble. He then began to recount the details of the battle to the two curious children, summarizing, "Nineteen years ago, during that Duel, Grindelwald and I were evenly matched. He had the advantage of being able to harness the magic of the entire Ministry of Magic. If I hadn't taken Felix Felicis beforehand and had your mother's enchanted pendant for protection, the outcome might have been very different..."
As Ivan continued his story, Emma and Liam realized just how perilous that Duel had been. Even their powerful father had relied on the protection provided by the Crescent Pendant to secure victory. The epic battle left the two children in awe.
"I think Father is still the most powerful. That Grindelwald was over a hundred years old, ten times older than Father, and he still lost. If it were now, Father would definitely beat him easily!" Emma said with admiration.
"You're just sweet-talking me! But you're not wrong..." Ivan affectionately tapped Emma's forehead. Three years ago, his various levels of Magic had already broken through to the ninth level, reaching a point where his words could almost bring about what he wished. Defeating Grindelwald back then was indeed a breeze.
Hermione also gradually recalled those past events, a smile forming at the corners of her mouth. After placing a dish of mashed potatoes on the table, she playfully pinched Liam's delicate cheek. "Did you hear that, Liam! Who said I couldn't help?"
As they were chatting, Ivan's expression suddenly changed, followed by a loud explosion.
Everyone present was startled, but they didn't react too strongly. Emma, who was nestled in Ivan's arms, muttered, "It must be Sister blowing up the Training Room again!"
Hermione, clearly guessing that it was her eldest daughter, veins popping on her forehead, quickly strode towards the Training Room, shouting, "Lilane! Get out here right now!"
"Looks like Sister is in for it!" Emma sighed theatrically.
Ivan ruffled his younger daughter's head, wondering if she was afraid of getting hit for being so gleeful...
"Mom, how could you teach such dangerous Explosive Magic to Lilane?" Ivan turned his head, looking at Asia, who was slicing a steak, and said with a hint of exasperation.
Thanks to the Elixir of Eternal Youth, even after nineteen years, Asia's appearance had not changed, and she even looked younger than before.
Ivan and Hermione had also taken this potion early on, their outward ages forever fixed at eighteen... This made Hermione and their eldest daughter, Lilane, look more like sisters than mother and daughter.
"It's rare for Lilane to have such a talent. We shouldn't waste it, right? Besides, with Bloodline Magic, even the strongest flames and explosions can't harm her", Asia calmly placed a piece of steak in her mouth and continued with a smile. "I remember you learning these kinds of Magic when you were even younger than her!"
"How can that be the same?" Ivan shook his head. Although he had mastered many dangerous Magics at the age of eleven or twelve and wreaked havoc in Knockturn Alley, his mental age back then was much older.
"How is it not the same?" Asia asked in surprise.
Ivan couldn't reveal that he was a time traveler, so he sighed and replied, "I'm the most outstanding genius in the Wizarding World, capable of mastering any Magic easily, there's no way I would ever lose control of my Magic..."
Liam and Emma exchanged glances, rolling their eyes in unison. Father was at it again, boasting about himself.
Asia was speechless, but she couldn't really argue because what Ivan said was a widely acknowledged fact. Over the years, she had felt both proud and puzzled at how she could give birth to such a prodigious talent...
