"Due to the incompetent actions of the Ministers of Magic, the notorious Dark Wizard Grindelwald was able to recruit followers in the Wizarding World, attempting to ignite a war between the magical and the real world..."
On a morning in London, inside the luxurious mansion of the Hales Family, Ivan was holding a young witch with beautiful golden hair, telling her stories from the past.
"And then? And then! Father, you must have stopped him, right?" The young witch asked eagerly, her big round eyes filled with anticipation and admiration.
"Hmm, well..." Ivan deliberately drew out his words, waiting until the young witch grew impatient before ruffling her hair and teasingly said, "Emma, if you don't pick at your food and eat properly this morning, I'll tell you what happened next!"
Emma pouted, looking unhappy, but the slightly older little warlock beside her couldn't help but interject.
"I know this part! Later, Father faced Grindelwald in a one-on-one duel in the Department of Mysteries at the French Ministry of Magic, defeated this Dark Lord, and averted an impending war!"
"Liam, spoilers are not a good habit..." Ivan sighed and playfully flicked Liam's forehead. He had finally found a way to address his daughter's picky eating, only to have it ruined.
Emma opened her mouth to say something but then saw her mother, Hermione, carrying a plate out of the kitchen. Her eyes darted around, and her words quickly changed. She smiled sweetly and asked, "Do you know where Mom was back then, Liam? She must have fought alongside Father, right?"
"No way, I heard Mom was still studying at Hogwarts back then. She wasn't as powerful as Father, so she couldn't have helped much..." Liam said casually, but as soon as he finished speaking, he felt a strange chill run down his spine.
Liam shivered and turned around, only to find his mother, Hermione, standing behind him with a half-smile, half-glare.
Liam immediately realized he had fallen for Emma's trick and glared at his sister. Unfortunately, his Petrifying Gaze, which occasionally went out of control, had long been sealed by Ivan, rendering his glare ineffective.
Emma, unfazed by her brother's anger, stuck out her tongue at Liam and giggled, hiding in Ivan's arms.
"You're wrong, Liam. I was able to defeat Grindelwald thanks to your mother's help!" Ivan laughed, interrupting the sibling bickering. Under the curious gazes of the two children, he recounted the battle and then summarized, "Nineteen years ago, during that duel, Grindelwald and I were evenly matched. He had the advantage of being in the Ministry of Magic, which gave him access to the Ministry's magic. If I hadn't taken Felix Felicis in advance and had your mother's protective pendant, the outcome could have been very different..."
As Ivan continued to recount the story, Emma and Liam finally understood just how perilous that duel had been. Even their powerful father had relied on the protection of the Crescent Pendant to secure a narrow victory. Such a legendary battle left the two children in awe.
"I think Father is still the most powerful. Grindelwald was over a hundred years old, ten times Father's age, and he still lost. If it were now, Father could easily beat him!" Emma said admiringly.
"You're such a sweet talker! But you're not wrong..." Ivan affectionately tapped Emma's forehead. Three years ago, his various Magic levels had already broken through to the ninth level, nearing the Word of Power, and defeating Grindelwald at that time had been effortless.
Hermione also gradually recalled the past events, a smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. After placing a dish of mashed potatoes on the table, she playfully pinched Liam's delicate cheek. "Did you hear that, Liam! Who said I couldn't help?"
As they were chatting, Ivan's expression suddenly changed, followed by a loud explosion.
Everyone was startled, but they didn't overreact. Emma, who was tucked in Ivan's arms, muttered, "It must be big sister blowing up the Training Room again!"
Hermione, clearly guessing it was her eldest daughter, veins throbbing on her forehead, quickly strode towards the Training Room, shouting, "Lilane! Get out here right now!"
"It looks like big sister is in trouble!" Emma feigned a sigh.
Ivan ruffled his youngest daughter's hair, wondering if she wasn't afraid of getting a beating for being so gleeful.
"Mom, how could you give such a dangerous Blast Spell to Lilane?" Ivan turned to Asia, who was slicing a steak, and said with a sigh.
Thanks to the Elixir of Life, even after nineteen years, Asia's appearance had not changed; she looked even younger than before.
Ivan and Hermione had also taken the potion early on, and their appearances were forever fixed at eighteen years old. This made Hermione and their eldest daughter, Lilane, look more like sisters than mother and daughter.
"Lilane has a rare talent, and it would be a waste to not develop it. Besides, with Blood Magic, even the strongest flames and explosions can't harm her, right?" Asia calmly placed a piece of steak in her mouth and continued with a smile. "I remember you started learning these Magic spells even younger than she is!"
"How can you compare them?" Ivan shook his head. Though he had mastered many dangerous spells at eleven or twelve and wreaked havoc in Knockturn Alley, his mental age back then was far more mature.
"How is it different?" Asia asked in surprise.
Ivan couldn't reveal that he was from another world, so he simply sighed. "I am the most outstanding genius in the Wizarding World, capable of mastering any Magic with ease. I never had control issues..."<|im_end|>
Liam and Emma exchanged a glance, rolling their eyes in unison. Father was at it again, boasting about himself.
Asia was also speechless but couldn't argue, as what Ivan said was a widely acknowledged fact. She felt both proud and puzzled that she could give birth to such a prodigious talent.
