Chapter 101: The World is So Big
Chapter 101: The World is So Big
Dragonite didn't know how to advise Motostoke, as it had never encountered such a situation.
The Dragonite on Dragonite Island were all friendly, and while some had rough and impulsive personalities, they would never display hostility towards it.
After leaving Dragonite Island, it came to live on the ranch, and everyone it met here was kind, both humans and Pokemon.
Motostoke didn't know what to do for a while.
So the two dragon Pokemon sat together in the grass, gazing at the round moon.
On the other side of the grass, three Ride Taur sat reclined, leaning against each other, chewing on some grass and keeping an eye on the two dragons in the distance.
"Maa?" (What are they doing?)
one of the Ride Taur asked.
Another Ride Taur indicated that it didn't understand: "Maa!"
So the three Ride Taur munched on some grass dumplings while watching Dragonite and Motostoke.
At the same time, in the wooden house.
The sleeping Teddiursa suddenly seemed to sense something and opened its eyes wide.
It lifted its head and saw a "Kadabra" floating above, looking at it.
"Huh?" Teddiursa was a bit dazed.
But that "Kadabra" suddenly disappeared.
Teddiursa sat up and rubbed its eyes.
It glanced at Naoki sleeping beside it, then quietly got out of bed and stepped out into the moonlight.
Under the eaves, Butterfree snored softly.
"Kadabra" was floating there.
Teddiursa didn't want to disturb Butterfree or the two dragons, Motostoke and Dragonite, who were enjoying the moonlight.
It quietly followed "Kadabra" to a secluded corner.
There was a flash of white light around "Kadabra".
In the glow, its body began to transform.
Soon, a mysterious Pokemon with a cute appearance and a pair of beautiful blue eyes, unlike anything Teddiursa had ever seen before, appeared before it.
"Huh?!"
Teddiursa was surprised.
It gazed at the mysterious Pokemon covered in a layer of fine, light pink fur and asked cautiously, "Huh?"
Is it the hero?
"Mew!"
A ethereal voice came from the mysterious Pokemon.
Hearing this voice, Teddiursa widened its eyes.
It was indeed the hero! And so cute!
The Pokemon that called itself the hero looked at Teddiursa, whom it had saved, and said, "Mew." (I'm leaving now.)
Teddiursa's heart tightened, and it suddenly felt a sense of reluctance.
"Huh?" it asked, "Where are you going?"
The hero answered, "Mew!" (I want to explore other places. This world is vast, and I want to see more. I want to observe humans and other Pokemon, and maybe I'll even encounter Pokemon like you again! And I'll save them, too!)
It was just like the movie about a wandering hero that Teddiursa had once seen in a place called Pokemon Hollywood.
There was a suave Roserade in the movie, traveling the world and rescuing Pokemon in danger.
The Pokemon in the movie called that Roserade a hero.
"Huh..." Hearing these words, Teddiursa's face lit up with admiration.
The world was so vast, and there was so much it could do.
It, too, wanted to travel as freely as the hero and explore a broader world.
Teddiursa recalled the brave scene of the hero coming to its rescue in that dark alley when it was surrounded.
It hurriedly asked, "Huh? Huh?" (Can I come with you?)
Hearing this, the hero paused.
"Mew?" (Do you want to travel with me?)
"Huh!" Teddiursa nodded vigorously.
There was no need for it to help out at Naoki's ranch, and it much preferred the idea of traveling and exploring, perhaps even finding more treasures to bring back for Naoki.
The heroic Meowth recalled its past solitary travels and hesitated.
This was the first time it had encountered a like-minded Pokemon that wanted to travel together.
The heroic Meowth envisioned itself exploring the world with Little Bear.
Just like those human trainers, they would journey to different places, witness breathtaking sceneries, and encounter diverse people and Pokemon.
In that moment, the heroic Meowth's heart stirred.
After a moment's thought, it said to Little Bear, "Miu?" (But will that human let you leave with me?)
Little Bear wasn't sure either. If it were any other human, they might not allow it, but Naoki...
"Yimo!"
After much hesitation, Little Bear decided to give it a try.
So, early the next morning, as soon as Naoki woke up, he saw Little Bear running up to him and calling out, "Yimo! Yimo!"
"What's going on?"
Naoki reached out and picked up Little Bear.
"Yimo, yimo!"
Little Bear conveyed its desire to go on a journey, but soon realized that Naoki couldn't understand it.
This left Little Bear feeling a little deflated.
"Yimo..."
Seeing the dejected look on Little Bear's face, Naoki raised an eyebrow and asked, "Do you have something you want to tell me?"
Little Bear nodded.
Naoki: "Let me guess, do you want some honey bread?"
Little Bear shook its head.
Naoki: "Then do you want some honey pudding?"
Little Bear shook its head again.
Naoki: "Could it be that you want to drink honey straight from the comb?"
"Yimo..."
Little Bear shook its head once more.
Witnessing this, Naoki was taken aback.
Hmm? What could have happened to make Little Bear lose interest even in honey?
Just then, Golurk seemed to sense something.
It pounced, and a loud thud was heard as if something had been struck.
Immediately after, a Kadabra was knocked to the ground by Golurk.
The Kadabra's form shifted rapidly upon impact, eventually transforming into a Pokemon resembling a small cat, covered in light pink fur, with a pair of striking blue eyes.
Upon seeing this Pokemon, Naoki's eyes widened in shock.
Mew?!
What was going on? How did a Mew end up in his house?
Compared to Naoki, Golurk remained much calmer.
It tilted its head, looking at the floating Mew with an expression that seemed to say, "Really?"
"Ah gah see..."
Instead of panicking about being exposed to Naoki and the other Pokemon, Mew focused its attention on Naoki.
A faint blue light flashed in its beautiful blue eyes.
The next second, Naoki's mind was filled with images he had never seen before.
In those visions, he saw Little Bear in a dim alleyway.
Several Meowth rummaging through trash cans mistook Little Bear for a rival and called upon other Meowth from the street to gang up on Little Bear.
Just as things looked dire, Mew appeared and scared away the Meowth, rescuing Little Bear.
Inspired by Mew and its own desire to explore, Little Bear yearned to venture out into the vast world.
The world was so big, and it wanted to see it!
