Chapter 100: The Hodgepodge Cultivator
Chapter 100: The Hodgepodge Cultivator
“What an annoying pest.”
Kuro hovered motionlessly in the air, his expression blank as the swords and blades that had been resting by the Streetlight earlier zipped toward him like a swarm of hornets.
"A mere hodgepodge cultivator."
Boom!
A dense barrage of Weapons rained down mercilessly on Siva. Thousands of blades whistled through the air like a storm of razors.
This Siva possessed Conqueror’s Haki, and his Armament Haki couldn’t be weak either—he’d trained the Prince of Pleasure, after all.
But just how strong was he? Sorry, but Kuro hadn’t sensed it.
This level of power… wasn’t impressive at all.
Siva’s six arms flailed desperately, swatting away the endless onslaught of Weapons. But while he had only six hands, Kuro commanded thousands of blades. And this so-called mighty Asura’s physical strength, in Kuro’s eyes, was nothing special.
Not even close to Charlotte Big Mom’s monstrous durability. What could his body possibly withstand?
In this world, blades and bullets could wound people.
Except for those few Monsters in the New World who were practically impervious, no one could shrug off steel and gunpowder without Haki or Devil Fruit abilities.
Even if this guy was one of the so-called Mythical Beasts.
The Weapons Kuro manipulated weren’t disposable either.
Siva could shatter a single blade with one punch, but the fragments retained their shape. Kuro simply redirected them, letting the jagged shards carve into Siva’s massive frame.
A saber sliced open Siva’s arm, leaving a shallow wound.
It was as if that single cut had broken a dam. Suddenly, Siva couldn’t keep up anymore. His six arms crossed desperately in a flailing defense.
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
The Weapons rained down like a thunderous hailstorm. Blades struck Siva’s body by the hundreds. Some shattered on impact, but their fragments circled back through Kuro’s control, slamming into him again. The shards sliced fresh wounds across his flesh, while intact blades plunged into his arms, ribs, and thighs. Each weapon withdrew, trailing crimson, before launching another strike.
Under this relentless assault, Siva could no longer even raise his arms to defend. He spread his six limbs wide, letting the Weapons pummel him freely. His once dark bluish body now painted a grotesque scarlet.
“Tch. With an attack rate like that, he’s still breathing? Impressive.”
Lida watched from the sidelines, shaking his head in disbelief.
Klah adjusted his glasses. “Mythical Beast stock, tough vitality. But against Kuro Mr.’s ocean-deep physical strength? Pointless. Just delays the inevitable.”
The Zoan Devil Fruit granted regenerative prowess, but what use was vitality against someone whose brute force rivaled the sea itself?
It would only take a little more time.
They’d seen Kuro’s full power before—five days of nonstop carnage. This was just a casual use of abilities. Who knew how long this guy could last?
Clearly not long enough.
“St-stop already!”
Gasping through the unrelenting assault, Siva roared, his voice cracking: “What kind of ridiculous ability is that?! Stop at once!”
He couldn’t comprehend this.
After years of absorbing emotions via Morgant’s people, he should’ve been unstoppable.
A Conqueror’s Haki wielder, a master of Armored Haki—such power should’ve made him invincible in the East Blue! The weakest sea in the Grand Line! Who in this backwater could oppose him?!
What was this man?!
Had the new Marines grown this strong?
Or was this guy an exception?
Stopping? Impossible.
Kuro’s fingers twitched. The Weapons’ assault intensified.
Siva’s defenses collapsed entirely. His open stance left him completely vulnerable. Blades struck him relentlessly, each blow sending him staggering backward. Yet his Mythical Beast vitality kept him upright, kept him speaking.
“If you don’t stop now,” he snarled, “I’ll reduce Morgant’s entire population to undead husks!”
At his words, every blade froze mid-air. The thousand-strong barrage withdrew in unison, returning to hover behind Kuro.
“Heh!”
Siva’s voice turned venomous. “All who’ve taken my Happiness Pill are branded with my power. With a thought, I can drain every ounce of emotion from them, reducing them to hollow undead husks. Killing me then would be meaningless—they’d live, yet never wake again, trapped in vegetative states forever!”
“To undo this, you’d have to kill me instantly. Impossible. Or dunk ten thousand citizens in seawater. Which you’ll never do.”
Devil Fruit users loathed the Grand Line, but while their strength vanished there, their abilities remained intact.
However, those under Siva’s control would lose his influence if half their bodies touched seawater.
But how? Ten thousand people—how long would that take with just a handful of Marines? By then, Siva would’ve triggered his power.
Silence fell. The four allies stood frozen.
Yet Siva saw no panic on their faces. Instead, the two Marines below stared at him with unsettling calm.
Kuro tilted his head toward the heavens. “Seawater…”
A single droplet splashed onto the ground, sending up a tiny spray.
Suddenly, rain fell from a clear sky. At first a drizzle, then a storm.
But strangely, the downpour didn’t blanket the island. It didn’t even cover half the land. Instead, it formed a narrow curtain of rain dividing the battlefield—clear night skies behind Kuro, torrential downpours behind Siva.
Siva frowned, perplexed by the unnatural storm. Then he saw Kuro raise his hand, palm outward, fingers splayed.
What was he doing?
He saw the faint smirk in Kuro’s eyes.
“You wouldn’t—”
Five fingers clenched.
Siva’s unfinished words died as the rain surged around him, coalescing into a massive sphere of water that engulfed his entire body.
Surrounded by seawater—his Devil Fruit’s bane—he felt his strength vanish.
“Can’t even break free from seawater? So you’re just another so-called strongman propped up by abilities.”
Watching Siva thrash inside the watery prison, Kuro relaxed his guard.
Earlier, he’d planned to flee and strike if danger arose.
He could still do that, but first, better neutralize Morgant’s threat.
Binding Siva securely, Kuro pulled a cigar from his coat, lit it, and exhaled a leisurely plume of smoke.
“Oi, Lida. Get over here. You’ll drown standing there.”
Through the shadows of the storm, a massive silhouette loomed over Morgant.
“I know.”
Lida shivered, activating Moonstep to leap beside Kuro.
Klah pushed his glasses up, gazing at the sky. “Quite the spectacle.”
Rainfall was common.
But an entire sky turned to a curtain of seawater? This was his first time seeing such a sight.
And certainly not the last.
Inside the watery prison, Siva stood frozen.
Controlling Weapons? That was just another Weapon-manipulation ability.
But controlling seawater itself?
In Siva’s memory, only one Legend had ever achieved that!
He wasn’t born in the East Blue. He’d come from the New World, hiding here to grow stronger. He knew the traits of the great pirates.
Only one being could reach this level—the sky-faring pirate, the pirateadmiral, Shanks!
