Chapter 100: The First Use of the Killing Curse (First Update)
Chapter 100: The First Use of the Killing Curse (First Update)
Passing by the Bulky Man carrying the rocket launcher, Jerry approached the Captain of the mercenary team.
"I understand, I understand!"
At this point, he knew he was at the mercy of the other party. The Suit-clad Man was well aware that he couldn't afford to be confrontational with this wizard who could use magic.
Fortunately, the control magic had no effect on him, so he could retain a couple of his most important accounts and hand over a few less significant ones to placate the situation.
As the Captain, he had considerably more savings than his companions. Even giving up a portion of his wealth would be roughly equivalent to the combined assets of his teammates.
This should be enough to fool the kid in front of him.
A few minutes later,
Jerry stared at the Suit-clad Man and asked calmly,
"Anything else?"
The Suit-clad Man immediately put on a smile,
"Sir, that's it, that's it. We truly recognize our mistake this time and promise to reform. We'll be good people and won't kill anyone anymore."
Not kill anymore? Jerry didn't believe it for a second. He had drained all their savings this time. If he let them go, they would only become more desperate and take on more dangerous jobs on the dark web to make money.
"But I don't believe you have nothing left!"
Jerry smiled at the Suit-clad Man.
The Suit-clad Man was taken aback, a bad feeling suddenly welling up inside him.
"Let's verify that, shall we?"
Jerry raised his wand and pointed it at the Suit-clad Man:
"Silencing Charm!"
Because of the internet cable, the lid of the box wasn't fully closed. He was worried that the Captain's screams might wake up Hass and Elsa, so he cast a Silencing Charm first.
After casting the Silencing Charm, Jerry raised his wand again:
"Cruciatus Curse!"
"Ahh!"
The Suit-clad Man's face contorted in agony. A pain like nothing he had ever experienced, as if it came from his very soul, struck him. In just a few seconds, he felt on the verge of breaking.
This pain was a hundred times worse than the Gene Enhancement Serum experiments he had endured in the Siberian training camp.
His mouth emitted terrified screams, but the sounds came out as mere whispers, making the whole scene appear eerily bizarre.
The other three, watching from the side, couldn't help but shiver.
Originally, they had been captured but never truly feared for their lives. They assumed they would be sent to prison at worst, so they weren't particularly afraid.
When they took on this job, they had made a judgment about the wizard.
This was a very principled child who had never killed anyone in any recorded action.
Even in the worst-case scenario, if they failed to kill the wizard and were captured, they expected to be handed over to the police and sent to prison like other criminals.
And prison wasn't a place that could hold them; breaking out was not a difficult task for them.
This was the real reason they had taken the job despite learning about the wizard's various strange abilities.
According to their original plan and analysis of the wizard's capabilities, they had a seventy percent chance of killing the wizard and collecting the substantial reward.
But now, it seemed that while the young girl wizard was indeed good, this boy who could also use magic was not someone to be trifled with.
"Anything else?"
Stopping the Cruciatus Curse, Jerry asked the Suit-clad Man again.
"Really, that's it!"
The Suit-clad Man gritted his teeth. He was certain the other party wouldn't continue to torture him. As long as he didn't give in, they would let him go. Then, once he escaped from prison, he would still have something left.
"Cruciatus Curse!"
Jerry continued to raise his wand.
The suit-clad man had made one mistake: he thought Jerry would let them go and hand them over to the police. How could that be possible?
For these people who had come to assassinate him, for these people who could mercilessly kill even a little girl, how could Jerry possibly let them go?
Perhaps they all had their own tragic pasts. Perhaps they planned to retire and live a quiet life once they had earned enough money. Perhaps they hadn't entered this line of work willingly.
But none of that mattered to Jerry.
From the moment they tried to assassinate him, and now that Jerry had revealed his true face to them, it was already decided that none of them would survive.
Now, it was just a matter of squeezing out all their savings to donate to the "Children's Rescue Foundation" and earn a few more Little Red Stars.
"Cruciatus Curse!"
"Cruciatus Curse!"
"Cruciatus Curse!"
After a few rounds, even the suit-clad man's iron will couldn't hold up. He finally confessed, giving away all his accounts and passwords.
"Cruciatus Curse!"
"I've told you everything, I swear! There's nothing more!"
At this point, the suit-clad man was sobbing and crying, clearly at his limit.
"Since you lied to me just now, I still don't quite believe you. A few more rounds, then!"
Jerry shrugged and subjected the suit-clad man to a few more rounds of the Cruciatus Curse.
Finally, when the suit-clad man started to become dazed and delirious, Jerry stopped and shook his head.
"If you had been honest from the start, we could have avoided all this!"
After dealing with the suit-clad man, Jerry turned to the red-haired woman.
The red-haired woman's face changed, and she quickly said:
"I'll tell you everything, I won't hide anything, please don't use that on me!"
Jerry nodded.
He didn't use the Imperius Curse on the red-haired woman because he believed that after what she had just experienced, she wouldn't dare to hide anything.
After a few rounds, when Jerry had donated all of the red-haired woman's funds to the "Children's Rescue Foundation", he slowly closed his laptop.
"It's time to send you on your way!"
Seeming to sense something, the red-haired woman suddenly thrust her chest forward, emphasizing her already prominent figure due to the ropes binding her, fully exposing herself to Jerry.
"Little master, please let us go. We really won't do it again. If you want, I can even stay and serve you for a while, giving you a taste of unimaginable pleasure!"
She even stuck out her tongue, licking her luscious red lips, her eyes full of allure.
At eleven or twelve years old, a boy was just beginning to experience some vague and impulsive desires. If this boy had any thoughts, and released her from her bindings, she was confident she could take care of him up close.
Jerry looked at the voluptuous and beautiful red-haired woman, slowly raising his wand:
"Avada Kedavra!"
A green beam shot from the wand, striking the red-haired woman precisely.
In an instant, her pupils dilated, her heart stopped, and it seemed as if her soul was instantly driven from her body, leaving no trace of life.
"Hmph, truly despicable, even a child isn't spared!"
Facing a woman who enjoyed using a sniper rifle to take out his head, how could Jerry have any other thoughts?
