Guan Mei only glared at him and scolded in front of everyone, "What do you mean, what happened?! Her man just died and you think she won't be moved?! She really loved him but because of your actions, he is now dead. You don't really think that he can survive with seven gunshot wounds underwater? Even the divers can't find him meaning he might already lay down on the bottom of the sea." 

Hearing all the accusations from his wife, Guan Dong didn't know what to say, opening his mouth but no words came out. He already understood Dongmei's feelings but there was no way for him to turn back in time. Earlier he did not want to believe her just based on her words but when he finally witnessed it with his own eyes, it occurred to him that maybe there was really something between them. 

Guan Mei did not wait for her husband to collect his mind and she quickly added with a worried expression as she looked at Dongmei, "Let's take her back. She needs some rest. If she stays here, she will only think about him." 

"Alright." Guan Dong didn't argue at all this time and agreed right away, trying to take Dongmei over, "Pass her to me, I will carry her." Unfortunately, his hands were only slapped away as Guan Mei scolded him again, "You are all wet! Do you want Dongmei to fall sick due to cold water? I will carry her. Go dry yourself first."

The Captain got anxious for some reason as he knew who he was up against but fortunately, the things Guan Dong wanted, were not impossible to do. The only problem was ultimatum that Guan Dong presented them with. 

He pointed at the Shadow who entered the ship and ordered, "Captain, you will work with this man and order every man of your crew to sign a non-disclosure agreement. I don't want anything that happened here leak outside of this boat. The person who does that will not have their life anymore. Do you understand me?"

With the way Guan Dong looked at him, he knew all the blame would fall on him if his crew didn't comply so he could only agree weakly, "Yes, Sir." The Captain saw he was shivering ever so slightly so he also yelled at one of his sailors, "Fetch some towels! Can't you see Sir is wet?! Go!" The Captain would be asked to do so anyway but it was always better to get some points, increasing his chances of survival. 

Guan Mei who was holding Dongmei in a princess carry position while finding this the easiest way to carry her daughter finally got on the Destroyer ship. She wanted to enter the helicopter and leave as fast as possible but she was stopped by the Navy Captain as he offered to help, "Milady, let me help you. She must be too heavy for you to carry." 

He didn't wait for her permission, trying to take advantage of her occupied hands and reached out to take Dongmei over but unfortunately, Guan Mei wasn't a weak lady. With one move she smacked his hands away with her foot, pushing him away in the process and glared at him. She could feel that he had bad intentions towards her daughter with her ability so she would never let him touch Dongmei. 

"Get away from us. I know you were the one who ordered the sniper to shoot. Don't think you will get away with that." Guan Mei hugged Dongmai and accused him, trying to confirm if he was the one behind it. She walked away without waiting for his reply and just as she expected, he called out right after, "No! Milady, I would never! Wait!" 

Just from this, she knew he was guilty as he obviously lied. What's more, he had the audacity to grab Guan Mei's shoulder which immediately triggered her defences. 

"Don't touch me!" Guan Mei cried out as she turned around and lifted Dongmei upwards which allowed her to do a spinning kick, hitting the Navy Captain on the cheek with the bottom of her shoe. Naturally, he got sent flying to the side as she didn't hold back with her strength at all. She didn't look back at him to check if he was alright and ignored the shocked gazed of his soldiers, walking away towards the helicopter on the stern of the ship. 

It would be strange if the Navy Captain wasn't pissed off about it and he cursed, not respecting Guan Mei anymore, "Fuck! It hurt! Attacking a Navy Captain is a serious offence! Stop her!" Within any court, she wouldn't be able to do anything as he had so many witnesses for her actions. Attacking an army Captain was naturally a serious crime according to law. 

"Milady, please stop." The one who walked forward to stop her was the same lieutenant of the ship that earlier talked with the Navy Captain, appearing suddenly from the side. He was the most faithful to him as they both climbed in the rankings together for many years so it wasn't surprising that he went out to help first. 

Guan Mei didn't panic for a second as she asked, "Are you sure you want to stop me? Let me pass and you will be rewarded." She wanted to test the men's loyalty with that and just as she thought, he replied while shaking his head, "I'm sorry Milady. We can't disregard the Captain's orders." 

When the Navy Captain heard that, he flipped momentarily as he yelled, not holding back in his words anymore, "Bitch! Who do you think you are?! This is my ship! First, you attack me and then you try to bribe my soldiers? They are not that easily swayed! Grab her!" 

Guan Mei face naturally turned cold hearing his curse and seeing the lieutenant hand reaching out to catch her, she called out to him with confidence that he would take the bait, "Tomorrow I have an afternoon tea with General Liu and Admiral Rui. Kill him and you will be promoted to the Captain Rank in two days. They will gladly grant me this favour." 

"Haha! That's the funniest thing I have ever heard—" The Navy Captain who was coming up to them from behind naturally laughed but then his face changed when his own faithful lieutenant lifted the rifle without hesitation and pulled the trigger. 

Bang!

The Navy Captain's head got blasted away as a bloody hole appeared on his forehead. It definitely shocked all the soldiers around them but both the Lieutenant and Guan Mei were calm. 

Thud.

The ex Navy Captain naturally died on the spot, falling to the board with a dull sound, blood oozing out of the wound. There was a stunned expression on his face as if he could not believe his own man would kill him for a promotion. 

Guan Mei already knew her plan will work out so he wasn't surprised and congratulated, "Good choice. Congratulations on your promotion, Captain. Tell me your name so I can pass it to the Admiral." 

The new Captain smiled and put down his rifle as he said, "My name is Luka Miller, Milady."

Guan Mei wanted to leave right away but hearing his rare name, she asked surprised, "Oh, you are from the Great Islands?

He was even more surprised than her that she actually could discern his origins with just his name and nodded, "Yes, Milady." He was young at that time so he didn't think too much of it. 

"Not many survived the catastrophe from ten years ago." She commented with sadness. Guan Mei's dear friend died in the tragedy ten years ago so she knew some things about it. Guan Family helped the people on the two islands a lot because of that.

"That's good. Good luck, Captain. I will go now." Guan Mei nodded and didn't talk anymore, excusing herself as her arms were already tired. Walking away, she felt arms hugging her around the neck as Dongmei whispered, "I want to be like you mom." 

This naturally made her smile and she replied, "Don't worry, you will do better than me."

'Damn, so many people sunbathing on the beaches all across the coast... I guess I have no choice but to expose myself a little…' Wuxing thought as he looked at the beaches from about one hundred meters away, slowing down his pace.

'You should be careful. You have only enough energy to turn back your fins and membrane on your fingers back to normal. It will be hard for you to even walk if you do anything else.' Devil Face warned as he monitored Wuxing's condition.

'I know… I can barely swim right now…' Wuxing already slowed down his pace for a while as he was dead tired. He had to swim at least one sea mile which was already tiring in itself. Adding his wound healing, he was already out of juice. Changing his face to another person would be almost impossible right now. 

'Don't worry, no one will find you suspicious if you suddenly appear on the beach. It's much better than going to the docks with cameras planted all around.' Devil Face tried to cheer him up but Wuxing knew this pervert just wanted to see beauties in bikinis. 

Wuxing already knew that so he already started his preparation, taking off his shirt which he used to wrap the holsters with his double Berettas. His pants and the ammunition he carried was already at the bottom of the sea as he left it behind long before. 

Wuxing knew that modern bullets were mostly waterproof but he would never trust them. He was already more than twenty minutes inside the seawater so he would rather leave the additional weight behind instead and buy new ones later on. He had to dry his pistols anyway. 

Having everything wrapped inside of his shirt, Wuxing slowly swam towards the beach, taking more than four minutes to do so. When he finally reached and started walking as the water level lowered, some people noticed that he came out of nowhere but they quickly ignored him, moving to their own activities. 

The beach was situated near the docks so naturally, the water didn't have the best quality and not many swam in it. Most people simply played in the sand or just soaked their feet at most while enjoying the hot weather. It was surprising that someone was swimming at such waters but not exciting enough to focus at him for more than a few seconds.

The only other reason one would look at him for more time was because of his face and his body which was basically ripped. Many girls immediately noticed him, showering him with flirtatious glances but he didn't even look at them, heading towards the stands of beach showers. He had to get rid of the salt from his body first. 

'Hah, so many first-class beauties stare at you but you don't even spare a glance at them. What a shame. Tsk.' Devil Face snickered as he checked how many girls were watching Wuxing with attention.

'I guess it's unavoidable. You can take them all if you want. I have a better one waiting for me.' Wuxing said as he shrugged, manoeuvring in between of the people's towels. 

As he walked, he noticed one guy had a bunch of fruits in the beach basket as he slept under the umbrella and a banana was sticking out. Wuxing didn't hesitate to crouch and sneakily take them out without stopping his walk. 

He didn't have money on him so he knew he would have to steal some to regain his strength but he didn't mind that. Stealing and killing was the mercenary's daily thing. The only difference being they were somehow stealing for someone else. As he ate the banana, he didn't notice but a certain woman noticed him from the coffee bar on the other side of the street. 

She was sitting alone and witnessed the whole stealing scene as she looked around out of boredom. She smiled as she thought of something and picked up her towel and shampoo before standing up, walking towards Wuxing.
