Chameleon: My True Face 64 Second Mission

They agreed on one million in cash but they came back to him with a debit card which could be easily traced by them if they wanted to. The whole point of the cash was to avoid exactly that. It was not a surprise that Wuxing was mad as his plans became complicated now.

It was already another day and Wuxing sent Dongmei to work knowing that Shadow will come back with a suitcase of money that day. Wuxing wanted to set everything up just like he planned and make shadow believe he was working according to the deal, but they also quickly broke the rules.

"I was taking cash out of the bank when suddenly a white minivan drove up to me and a few guys with machine guns came out, aiming right at me. To think I would be robbed in such an unlucky way. If there were less than three of them I would probably be able to resist but I couldn't handle more." Shadow shrugged and explained, placing the debit card on the table.

'Bullshit… They probably want to track me later and monitor me…' Wuxing immediately cursed in his mind while still glaring at Shadow, not happy with such a situation.

Seeing an unhappy Wuxing, Shadow sighed, having no choice but to lie to him. He couldn't say that Guan Dong changed his mind yesterday and gave him new orders. He felt like giving cash was too much, thinking that Wuxing would still take the deal if the money were on the card instead.

"The money was already transferred onto the card. It was created under your name so you can use it however you like." Shadow said as he pushed the card on the table after hearing no response from Wuxing before passing him another note with some letters and numbers on them, saying, "This is the login and password to the bank. If you want, you can change it so we can't trace what you buy in the future. This is the most I can do."

"Was that Guan Dong's call as well? I don't think he would agree to it." Wuxing asked surprised after finally taking the card and the paper, checking it out. As long as there were no traces at all, he would be fine. After all, he would have to buy a new identity, passport and many others that could allow him to travel, just in time to enter the special training program and get into the Seven Stars again.

"It's because he didn't. I just like keeping my word and this is the only thing I can do to help a fellow Mercenary. The bank I set the account on belongs to Seven Stars so Guan Family will have a hard time finding you if you really plan to run away." Shadow explained his reasons with a smile, placing one leg on the other.

"Aren't you working for Guan Family?" Wuxing asked as he went to take Dongmei's phone from the drawer and started logging to the bank. He had to check if the money was really on the card anyway while also checking any other details about it.

"I am. But I'm also working for Seven Stars too. I'm sweating for Guan Family as I'm in debt to Guan Dong from saving me once, but that doesn't mean that I will follow all of his orders if I don't like something." Shadow explained further, being more like a mercenary rather than a loyal servant. He didn't mind talking to Wuxing about it knowing that it definitely wasn't in Wuxing's interest to bust him.

Without waiting for Wuxing to reply, he added to make it clear, "Of course, it doesn't mean I will turn a blind eye on everything else. I still have to make sure that the rest of the deal will be carried out. Hope you won't mind that small mishap that happened with the money."

"Well, I guess I don't mind it. Everything works fine. I already changed the password. Won't you get in trouble for that later?" Wuxing put the phone into his pocket and asked, thinking it was quite risky for Shadow to do such stunts for him.

"Nah, I'm good. Guan Dong needs me." Shadow shook his head while smiling mysteriously and finally stood up, planning on leaving soon. Upon departing, he called out with his attitude changed back to normal, "I will be watching. Hope you can stay gentle with Miss Dongmei. She is a very important character that cannot be hurt in any way. If you make her hate men, you won't have a happy life as Guan Dong will hunt you down."

Wuxing couldn't help but nod his head and remind Shadow, continuing to play his game, "I know. I will definitely be gentle. Don't let her see you." Without saying anything, Shadow left through the balcony, already knowing he couldn't be seen by anyone. If he wasn't a master of camouflage, he would not be called Shadow.

'I guess, I have two days to convince them that Dongmei doesn't love me anymore. I hope her acting is still on a high level…' Wuxing commented while looking at the card in his hand. Two of the last stages in his plan were about to start. There was no going back anymore.

He was now glad that he involved Dongmei in his plan and so far everything went smoothly. Wuxing didn't expect any changes with the money but it turned out to be a false alarm thanks to the Shadow. The only thing that was unpredictable was Devil Face as Wuxing never knew when he would pop out, planning on breaking everything into pieces.

He already finished the mission but Devil Face was nowhere to be heard and Wuxing didn't plan to call for him any time soon, hoping he wouldn't appear, leaving him alone.

Unfortunately, fate liked to play tricks on us and this time wasn't a difference. Just when Wuxing thought of Devil Face, he heard a familiar voice in his mind, 'How is my partner doing? Did you enjoy your first night with Dongmei? I just came back to check up on you this morning but yoooo, there was so much content that it took me a while before I watched everything. You went really wild that night, my man.'

Wuxing sighed, blaming himself for bringing back Devil Face with his words. He didn't expect he would actually come.

"..." Wuxing didn't know what to say to him, finding it quite weird that Devil Face was watching his sex with Dongmei but the one in question didn't care about this and continued, "With that great scene, you completed my mission. The chick loves you and you got laid. I should probably reward you for that before we continue with another one."

'I hope you don't plan anything dirty. I already said I want to be with Dongmei. I like her a lot.' Wuxing reminded Devil Face about their earlier talk but he quickly assured Wuxing while calling out, 'Don't worry, I already know about it. I wouldn't separate you two. Actually, I will make sure you two stay together. Earlier I didn't see her unique potential, hehe. Forget what I said already and let's talk about new business. What do you want as a reward: one question answered or maybe you want a nice tip about your ability.'

'You will answer any question that I ask you?' Wuxing actually got interested, thinking of learning more about Guan Dong right away, but then he got curious about what a tip for his ability could be like, making his decision harder.

'Yup. I know of most things that you can ask. Unless you ask when will the world end, I think I'm confident. Don't you want to learn about your ability more? I could tell you a new function that you still didn't figure out.' Devil Face tempted Wuxing with his words, leading him towards the second option.

Knowing there were other functions of his ability, Wuxing quickly tried to think of one but didn't get any ideas, deciding to take this option just as Devil Face suggested, 'Alright, what tip can you give me?' His ability could help him a lot in the future and the question could only satisfy his curiosity. Now that he thought about it, the choice was obvious.

'Good. You know that you can manipulate your body cells in multiple ways and you already figured out a way to create a shield with your bone cells. Your disadvantage with such usage is time. It took you a lot of time to form such shield and it was really energy consuming. My tip is actually connected with that. What if you created some cells in advance and only moved them when you need them?' Devil Face answered happily, satisfied with Wuxing's choice.

Seeing that Wuxing was contemplating it, Devil Face added some more information, 'What's more, you would be able to create weapons like a spike which you can use in a battle very quickly before hiding it inside of your body. The possibilities are endless. You also wouldn't have to use too much energy to produce the additional cells and only pay for modifying and transportation around your body.'

Learning the whole method, Wuxing could only slap himself as he thought, 'I could think about it earlier... I assumed it would be too hard to store those cells inside my body as there is basically no space left. I guess I will have to try it later. It's too risky to do it now.'

'Heh, I'm not going to help you anymore. It will be beneficial to you if you figure it out yourself.' Devil Face laughed, not telling anything else, leaving only current information before moving on to another topic, 'Alright, time for your second mission. Are you excited?'

'...' Wuxing didn't know why, but he didn't feel like the next mission he was about to receive would be any good.

Devil Face didn't mind that and simply explained happily, 'For your second mission, you have to tell Dongmei's parents that you both did it already before you leave the prison!'

Hearing the mission, Wuxing couldn't help but cry out loudly, "What?!"
