"I…" Dongmei froze hearing him figuring out her true intentions. Just now she thought that if she did it with Wuxing, there would be nothing that could stop them from being together anymore. Just as she wanted to pull her hand away, Wuxing added playfully while rubbing her cheek, "Well, we could still do something naughty before the salmon unfreezes…"

Hearing his proposal, Dongmei cheered up a bit but still snickered, saying, "Ha! You can either get the whole package or nothing. "Haha, no problem. No need to be formal with me." Wuxing laughed softly as he replied nicely, behaving like a kind boyfriend. Hearing the way he talked, Dongmei couldn't help but roll her eyes. Wasn't he just doing naughty stuff to her?

"Alright, let's go with that then. Wuxing, I just wanted to ask you something. What do you think about my daughter? What is your honest opinion?" Guan Mei asked a simple question which could help her test Wuxing's character. If he simply tried to please her by giving her a sweet answer, she would definitely change her opinion on him.

Wuxing looked at Dongmei who was watching him anxiously and rubbed her cheeks before replying while staring back at her with a smile, "What do I think about Dongmei? I think she is a bit cold sometimes but once someone breaks open her heart, she can show her soft side too. Fortunately, I succeeded and I was able to see her true self. I'm still surprised by how cute Dongmei is after she opened up to me."

Dongmei immediately blushed after hearing his answer and hugged him tightly, knowing that he really meant it. She also wanted to hear her Mom's response, so her urge to hug him came in handy.

Guan mei nodded, feeling satisfied with his answer and asked warmly, "That's a good response... Do you maybe know anything about our family? Did Dongmei tell you anything?"

"Just a vague idea. Nothing much. Dongmei only told me about the Ethernum Crystal business." Wuxing replied honestly, receiving weird looks from Dongmei but he only put the finger on her lips and added, "I know it is definitely much, much more than that, but I'm not scared to face it all."

"Hmm, so she tells you our secrets already…" Guan Mei was quite surprised that Wuxing knew about it already, thinking that Dongmei would tell him other stuff instead of the most recent one that was the most important right now and asked, changing her tactic, "Is she listening to us right now? I want to talk without her listening."

Dongmei frowned and wanted to say that she wants to listen when Wuxing just continued to keep his finger on her mouth and skillfully lied to the phone, "She was, indeed. I walked away from her just now."

"Alright, I just want to tell you how important it is for Dongmei's future husband to be someone with great influence. Dongmei is our only child, which means she and her future husband will probably take over our businesses after our retirement. After listening up to that point, Dongmei looked down, no longer glancing into Wuxing's eyes and hugged Wuxing tightly instead. She knew her being with Wuxing would be hard, but she was ready to overcome it. Dongmei didn't need their parent's company but at the same time, she didn't want to create problems for them.

"I understand. That was my plan the whole time." Wuxing admitted, already knowing all of this. He never thought it will be easy.

"Alright, that's good. As long as you understand. Dongmei, I love you. I will leave you two alone. Don't go too crazy. You guys can take your time." Guan Mei finally ended the call, leaving the two alone.
