"I said I have a boyfriend," Dongmei repeated clearly, a bit louder than before so that her father would understand her this time. With the way she said it, they knew that she wasn't joking.

Instead of getting frustrated like her husband, Guan Mei smiled at her daughter and called out happily, "That's great! To think that my daughter finally found herself a boyfriend. Who is the lucky one? Do we know him? You never mentioned that you have someone in your eye."

The worse case would be when they began lying to each other. To get a good conclusion from this situation, good communication was the key.

Hearing her mother, Dongmei smirked as she stared daggers at her father, "I knew it… Was it father that ordered to screen him? Can't he even trust your own daughter judgement?" The accused Guan Dong could only look to the side while whistling, admitting to it without saying anything. His daughter knew him well so it was pointless to lie.

"Dongmei, he did it cause we love you and we want the best for you. I wanted to call you first but he insisted on checking out your boyfriend background first so we have some understanding of who we are dealing with. You need to understand that we are a very influential family. There were no scandals involving our family before and it would be devastating to have one in the near future. Especially with the great pressure that our family is facing right now due to... you know what." Guan Mei explained their stance with her motherly tone, only holding herself back at the end, recalling Wuxing was inside the apartment.

"I know and don't worry, Wuxing is inside the kitchen, preparing dinner for us. He won't hear our conversation unless you shout." Dongmei assured them after looking towards the kitchen with a gentle smile. She wanted them to know how close they were together.

Guan Dong became irritated when he heard how happy she is when she talks about Wuxing but didn't say anything under his wife's glare. Guan Mei continued with a surprised question, "Oh, he can cook?"

"Mhmm, he is great. His pancakes in the morning were so tasty. We just went for a romantic walk and now he is preparing fish and some other seafood for us. Not only that, but he is also handsome and kind. He knows how to take care of me… What else can I ask for a boyfriend?" Dongmei described Wuxing in simple words, smiling goofily while staring at him from the distance.

"Ah, that sounds great. Indeed, it sounds like you got yourself a nice boyfriend there. Now even I want to meet this gentleman." Guan Mei smiled, satisfied with her daughter happiness. Just as she said, if her daughter was happy, she didn't care about anything else.

This time Guan Dong couldn't hold himself back and commented with a snort, "Tsk, is that such a big deal? He can cook? Is that going to pay for your bills and provide for you in the future? I think you should think more about your future instead of just playing around."

Just as Guan Mei wanted to scold him, Dongmei answered him first, clearly expecting such comments from her daring father, "As if we need more money? The whole time Dongmei kept glaring at her father and her voice turned ice cold, knowing that nothing else would work on him. Guan Mei quickly called out to save the situation, "Dongmei… Sweety… Your father is just frustrated as another man is trying to steal away his precious daughter. You can't blame him for that…" She couldn't scold him anymore as it seemed that Dongmei was already unhappy with their conversation. It would only prolong the nervous atmosphere.

"It was he who started this…" Dongmei pouted, not looking at her father anymore as she knew he wouldn't understand.

"Okay, okay, let's calm down, both of you. Sweetheart, you can meet with whoever you want and as long as you are happy, mommy will support you." Guan Mei called out warmly after calming the two people she cared the most about before adding, "Can we maybe see him? You can call him to come to talk to us."

"Now I don't want to… Father will only scare him away." Dongmei looked towards Wuxing's bare chest and shook her head, deciding to introduce Wuxing later on. They still had time.

She didn't expect that her father would suddenly burst and call her out, "Ha! He better be scared. You have not even been together for two days and you are already in love? Don't be so naive! He is just using you to get out of prison!"

Both Dongmei and her mother were shaken by his words and Dongmei even had an urge to crush the watch onto the wall but Guan Mei reacted first and hit her husband on the head, crying out angrily, "Dong! Get out!"

"What?! I'm just speaking the truth! He only plays with her! When he is out of prison, he will definitely break up with her and hurt her! I'm protecting her! There is no way I am allowing her to ruin her life with him!" Guan Dong argued once again while pointing at Dongmei, not happy with the fact that he couldn't even speak the truth and that his wife was clearly in favour of Wuxing. She didn't understand the complications that would fall on them after the public learnt that their son-in-law is a nobody.

Hearing the baseless accusations, Dongmei got really angry this time as she shouted, even alerting Wuxing who was cleaning fish under that sink water, "Dad! You are not the one who decides when, where or who I'm meeting with! If you do anything to him, I will not call you father ever again!" She didn't wait for her father to reply and simply ended the call before throwing the watch away.

Guan Dong received a strong slap on his face to the point his cheek started turning red right away. It was the first time his wife dared to hit him this strongly and it definitely freshened him up.

With a finger raised at his face, Guan Mei called out fuming, "You see what you did there?! Don't you ever raise your voice on my daughter like that! Ever! Now she won't even talk to us because of you!"

Hearing no response from him that could defend him, Guan Mei stood up from the bed deciding to walk away before she says anything worse, but her hand was caught by Guan Dong on instinct as he called out, "Wait!"

Unfortunately, it wasn't the situation that he could repair with just a few words as Guan Mei quickly brushed his hand away heading towards the doors. Just as he wanted to move, chasing after her, Guan Mei turned around with a face full of disappointment and said while shaking her head, "This money and influence changed you. Sometimes I don't even recognize you. Where did my Dong'er from before go?"

With that said, she left, leaving Guan Dong dumbfounded and ashamed of himself. In no time that shame turned into anger as it was easy for him to find someone to blame in this situation.

"That bastard! It's all his fault! Not only is he taking my daughter away but also my wife. If he steps with his foot in this house, I will run in the city naked!" Guan Dong cursed, blaming everything on Wuxing who suddenly appeared and began ruining his perfect life. He didn't hesitate to pick up his phone and dial to Shadow who was already in the plane towards the Badu Island.

"Sir?" Shadow's voice replied as the call connected to which Guan Dong said, "Call me right when you land. There was a change of plans. Don't show Dongmei that you are there. My daughter will figure out that I am involved. We will do it like this…"

"Aaaaargh!" On the other side of the globe, inside of Dongmei's apartment, the frustrated woman was shouting angrily into the pillow, still mad about the call she just had.

She wanted to have a nice conversation but it ended just like the usual. The information that they gathered inside the underwater cave was now useless for her as she didn't want to help her father ever again at that moment. Dongmei didn't even want to think about him as each time his face appeared in her mind, she was getting more annoyed.

Just then, she felt someone else getting on the bed and lay down next to her. She knew that it was Wuxing, but with her red eyes, she didn't want him to see her so she continued to hide inside her pillows.

Dongmei waited for him to say something as she was sure that he heard her shout earlier but Wuxing didn't say anything and simply kissed her on the cheek before hugging her. He laid by her side until she finally calmed down.

"Are you alright?" Wuxing asked gently as he kissed her on the neck while caressing the top of her hands with her thumbs. Their legs were wrapped around with each other and they Wuxing rubbed her calf with his foot.

Dongmei finally pulled away from her pillow and hugged Wuxing instead, saying unhappily, "You heard me earlier… You should know what my parents think now…" She just wanted to share her happiness with her parents but her father had to ruin everything which made her really upset.

"I heard you," Wuxing replied with a nod as he laid on his back and placed her on top of him, hugging her tightly while brushing her hair gently to further calm her mind.

"Then why are you not worried? You don't look surprised at all…" Dongmei asked as she found a good position and cuddled herself into his chest.

"Cause I expected such an outcome. Your father sounds like a person who cares about appearance a lot. For him, you being with me would be shameful. Even if I was framed into prison while being innocent, he will still think it will bring him shame when people learn I was in prison. Also, I bet his company would suffer if the media starts attacking him for that." Wuxing explained before asking, "Aren't you in the public eye a lot?"

"They don't have access to the Badu Island so that's why they chose for me to stay here, but yes, media is very interested in my family… Don't worry, my father can't control anything I do. I will be with whoever I want. I chose you, so you better take good care of me…" Dongmei said as she leaned over to kiss him.

Before Wuxing could reply, Dongmei suddenly thought of something and reached out downwards with her lips still sealing his mouth. Her hand boldly entered into his pants and pulling away from him, she muttered softly while shamelessly grasping his member, "I want to do it with you…"
