Knowing that she definitely has more in store for him, he gave up and asked with a pleading voice to avoid unnecessary pain. After all, he wasn't a masochist. If he could easily prevent something like this, he would do it.

"I already had the displeasure of meeting him, so it's easy to believe what you said." Miss Guan nodded, piecing together the whole situation before she reached out her hand, saying, "Give it to me."

Wuxing immediately figured out she meant. He gave her the purple crystal which he had been keeping inside his pocket all this time. "Sure, I can't keep it anyway."

Miss Guan admired the purple beauty before she smiled mysteriously. "Wow, it is a big one… I will take this as payment, then."

Wuxing couldn't figure out exactly what 'payment' meant, but he didn't dig deeper. Weariness was already setting in from the blood loss, so he just let it go.

The black-haired doctor casually untied her hair, letting it tumble down to frame her exquisite face, before calling out to the two guards protecting her from behind, "Let's go. Carry him and follow me."

Right before they picked Wuxing up, she added, "Oh, if you drop him, you guys are dead."

This made them more stressed than the usual. They didn't dare say a word other than affirmation as they knew that whenever she unties her hair, she meant serious business.

As they walked towards the prison guards, they could hear the leader of the patrol arguing with Long Qing over the custody of the green-eyed guard. It was obvious that the leader didn't want to let go of the offender—after the situation turned from bad to worse, all the guards on duty today would bear the repercussions if they were found to not have followed protocol.

"Was he the one who made the shots?"

On the other hand, the leader of the guards looked like he found a saviour.

"Miss Guan!" he called out to the famous lady doctor as he didn't have any other choice. He didn't trust this new warden who was meddling in things outside his jurisdiction. "Chief Warden ordered us to take him as he openly broke the rules and acted with the intent to kill."

Hearing the guard's accusations, Long Qing frowned for a second, before he suddenly pulled the green-eyed man with him, intending to bring the man away from them. "You guys talk to each other. I will go and make sure to question this guy thoroughly."

"Hold right there! I am not done yet," Miss Guan shouted expecting Long Qing to stop, but he actually acted as if he didn't hear her and continued to walk.

Bang!

The sound of a bullet shot sounded for the sixth time today. The bullet exploded the rocks next to Long Qing's right foot, forcing him to stop his movements.

Miss Guan put down the rifle she took from the leader of the patrol and said, "If he moves away for one more step, shoot him down."

"Yes!" The guards uniformly aimed their rifles at Long Qing without asking questions.

"How dare you aim your weapons at a superior officer?! I am the new warden of Sector Alpha! Do you want to get fired?" Long Qing angrily cried out to the guards.

Seeing the guards hesitate and falter, Miss Guan coldly rebutted, "I will inform the Chief Warden, our highest-ranking officer of what happened, so don't worry."

This made everyone assured, and they happily listened to her. They all heard that Miss Guan had a special connection with the Chief Warden and he complied with her every request.

Long Qing fumed from anger but seeing Miss Guan's cold face, he decided to give up and pushed the green-eyed guard forward after whispering something into his ear. Then loudly, he told her, "Fine, I wouldn't reject your request. You can do with him what you want."

"Bring him to me and give me a gun," she said.
