Ye Chuan gave up after the white mist and cloud dispersed. It was a shock towards the confused crowd and the other spectators both rankers and Elders alike.

None could see through the mist and cloud that Bai Xue had used. Who could have, it was the innate technique of the Black Tiger and the Frost Dragon mixed together.

"Don't wake me up like that while meditating. What if I was trying to ascend? Oh, you look really bad. Did you get beaten?" Wang Ling complained while simultaneously teasing her from the bloodstain she had on her chest.

Creasing her brow, Bai Xue replied in irritation, "Shut it, I won although I am quite unhappy with the method I used. Also, don't act like you're actually going to endanger yourself in such a place."

Wang Ling merely laughed as he jumped to the stage where no one was standing on. Wei Hu and Mao Lan was on the other side of the stage staring at Wang Ling.

They were quietly waiting for his decision on who he would be fighting. With all seriousness, Wang Ling brought out a spear and then pointed it at Wei Hu who was looking at him weirdly.

"Senior Wei Hu, Wang Ling challenges you in a fight for the right to be the representative of the Academy."

Wei Hu looked at Mao Lan before jumping high up in the air and giving Wang Ling a shock expression. The spear Wang Ling was holding was a grade-2 artifact meant for the usage of a Saint like himself.

"Son of Heaven, are you not a swordsman? Why are you wielding a spear? If it is to provoke me, then try something else because it is not working. Throw that away and take out your sword, let us fight to our heart's content and see who is stronger!"

Shaking his head, Wang Ling looked at Wei Hu silently before taking his stance with the end of the spear pointed upwards and the spear top down.

"I am not merely a master of the sword, I have dabbled in the ways of the spear just like how I did in the way of the sword. I merely like the sword more but this spear is enough to confront you."

Wang Ling spoke casually. Wei Hu raised a brow and instead of acting angry and fuming, he merely laughed at Wang Ling's 'stupidity'.

He raised the spear to his chest and gave Wang Ling a fierce look of a battle-hardened expert, "You say you dabble in the way of the spear? What nonsense you speak of! Listen hear, Son of Heaven, the spear is not just any ordinary weapon. It is a weapon of Generals that stand at the peak of this world and commands numerous cultivators to battle with the Demons.

Level-3 spear mastery, One with the Spear enveloped the spear and enhanced the spear's piercing quality. Wang Ling looked at this spear and knew Wei Hu's entire strength was not behind it and was merely showing him the extent of his spearmanship.

Wang Ling smiled at the sight of this and twisted the spear like a snake.

He parried the spear upwards and redirected the lightning qi it gathered towards the sky. This sight caused Wei Hu to be in shock and had him looking at Wang Ling with a surprised expression.

At this point, he had lost control of the spear.

Wang Ling exchange sight with him before twisting his body with the spear.

Wang Ling moved the spear and then hit Wei Hu's right hand and broke it to the point it could no longer hold his spear. Wei Hu screamed in pain but Wang Ling cared not and kicked him on the neck just enough to halt his breathing for a little bit and send him flying.

Wei Hu was sent flying ten meters away from where he stood and as he saw the blue skies, a figure descended and the tip of the spear that figure hold pierced the ground right beside his ears.

Staring at Wei Hu's eyes, Wang Ling asked, "Do you give up?"

Wei Hu clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, but in the end, he gave up and whispered, "I give up."

Getting off Wei Hu, Wang Ling walked away victorious in mere two moves. Wang Ling achieved such a victory with pure skills and manipulation.

He brought out a spear against a spear user and used the pride Wei Hu had against him by making him look down on him and using his great ocular skill and spear skill to parry the thrust and quickly neutralizing his enemy while he was in a daze.
