She was currently incensed at the growing noise. She was an alchemist and she appreciates silence rather than noise. Even with her fiery attitude, she was still at heart an alchemist.
But even a calm dragon will show its fangs once it gets irritated, Yan Renhuo was about to burn everything down.
Those who saw the ever-incensed Yan Renhuo flinched and unpleasant thoughts surfaced their minds. Flames were already flickering about her body, it was clear that she wanted to truly burn them.
"We are not here for you Sister Yan, we are here for the man inside your abode. We heard that he was one of the most promising geniuses in the Thundergod Academy, we only wish to test our might against him."
An elegant-looking noble student stepped out. With a handsome face and elegant bearing, he was exuding an aura fit for a gentleman. This man was Xuan Wen, one of the few top-ranked men in the Ancient Scripture Academy.
The Ancient Scripture Academy was dominated by women. The Ancient Scripture Academy was a place of learning the past and the history of the realm. It was a place that is both stuck in the past but also moving forward as they note the mistakes of the past and improve from them.
Yan Renhuo was now one of the strongest youths of the academy. Although she does not participate in the rankings and her interest in the Ten Year Bout was in the same level of her interest with her suitors, Yan Renhuo was still considered as one of the strongest students in the academy.
Wang Ling did not know that. But he knew of Yan Renhuo's prowess. He may not have seen it first hand, but he sure could feel the pressure that was coming out of Yan Renhuo.
[An immature monster.] That was his thoughts on Yan Renhuo.
Yan Renhuo listened to the yaps of the students who had gathered in front of her abode and found it extremely displeasing. Her brows twitched after hearing the reasoning of the students.
Her anger was rising and her blood was boiling, "Such nonsense, you people are insufferable. Xuan Wen, if I make you impotent here and now do you think I'm to get into trouble?"
Xuan Wen's mouth twitched as the smile on his face wavered. Yan Renhuo's words were serious and she was truly considering destroying his manhood.
Wang Ling promptly came out of the abode. He could hear the commotion outside and had already found it annoying that the problem aroused because of him entering the academy.
As soon as he came out, he tapped Yan Renhuo's shoulders and said, "They are looking for me, I'll take care of it. It would be for the best if you finish concocting the pill."
Wang Ling was in a rush. He had different agendas to meet, first, he needed the pill and then search for the Serpent Turquoise will come next. After killing the serpent, he will be needing to leave for the Tranquil Empire where he will meet his family.
Hopefully, Wang Hong quickly finishes with his business in the Tranquil Empire so they won't have to stay for so long.
Yan Renhuo turned her head to Wang Ling and then thought about it, "This is the Ancient Scripture Academy, not the Thundergod Academy. If you fight here, you can't cripple or kill them. What I'm trying to say here is keep the injuries to a minimum, they are weaklings after all."
Yan Renhuo then got ready to enter the abode, but Wang Ling stopped her and handed over a storage ring.
"This is the ingredients, please make two pills."
Yan Renhuo accepted the ingredients and then leisurely entered the abode and into the room where she concocts the pills.
Wang Ling was left outside with the tens of students eyeing and sneering at him. They were looking at him with contempt and irritation. Wang Ling was calm and the smile on his face was the same as a kid looking at the animals in a showcase.
That smile was directed at Xuan Wen. His elegance was showing and the arrogance he had was something he liked to keep hidden.
He stared at Wang Ling with a smile of his own, and spoke condescendingly, "So you're the rat from the Thundergod Academy? What a laugh, for someone like you to have any interest in the Goddess that is Yan Renhuo is truly worthy of being laughed at.
"Take a look at yourself first before trying to get ahead of us!"
Wang Ling giggled at his words.
"What's so funny?" Xuan Wen felt irritated and annoyed at Wang Ling's actions.
Sighing Wang Ling could not stop his words anymore, "A trash such as yourself is actually sizing himself to Renhuo? Also, I thought you people are here to test me? If you wish to fight then come at me, I'll make all of you regret trying to challenge me."
Xuan Wen's veins were popping out of his temples. His anger was rising, for being called trash by the person he does not put in his eyes was infuriating.
Xuan Wen stepped out with a sword in hand. He was ready to take on Wang Ling but Wang Ling then shouted:
"Stop!"
Xuan Wen stopped and sneered at Wang Ling, "What, are you scared? Hah, for someone with such arrogance like yourself to get frightened the moment your opponents step out…"
Wang Ling didn't let him finish his words and he began counting, "One, two, three, four, five… seventy-three people are present. This is going to take a while if you people step forward one by one, why don't you just come at me altogether? I'm a busy man after all."
Xuan Wen found his words infuriating and he finally had enough, so, he kicked the ground and dashed forth with his sword.
He had his body lowered and had positioned his sword in front of his chest. He wanted to stab Wang Ling.
But then, Wang Ling's figure blurred and then appeared right in front of the moving Xuan Wen. Xuan Wen was surprised to see Wang Ling, but he managed to react quick enough to alter the direction of his sword.
"DIE!!" Xuan Wen shouted. His sword coming from below rose and like a dragon swimming in the ocean, his sword seemed unstoppable.
But in Wang Ling's view, it was moving to a crawl. He moved to the side easily dodging the sword. His right hand then moved, and from above he grabbed Xuan We's face and bashed it on the ground.
Boom!
Web-like cracks appeared on the place where Xuan Wen's face was buried. But as he let out a pained groan, Wang Ling had a thought.
[I should do Renhuo a favor and clean these people out of her life.] Wang Ling then once again smashed Xuan Wen's face on the ground. This time, he became unconscious and was bleeding all over.
But Wang Ling made sure that he was alive and he was only unconscious. He didn't want an issue that is too large.
[I really didn't want to start anything but trouble keeps popping up. What a waste of time this is. Better than doing nothing I suppose.] Wang Ling mused inside his head.
He turned to look at the other students who had intentions on Yan Renhuo and showed them a taunting smile, "It seems like Renhuo was right. You people really have no balls."
It was then that Wang Ling moved, he appeared before the students who had been eyeing him all this time and then stood in front of them without moving and said, "Are you just going to stand there or are you going to prove you're a man?"
"AHHHH!" a shrill cry rang out as a gush of water suddenly spurt out of nowhere and rushed towards Wang Ling.
The gush of water was moving at high speeds and was like a slithering snake up to catch Wang Ling.
With that appearance of the water snake, other attacks appeared and Wang Ling was suddenly bombarded by numerous techniques.
Closing his eyes and opening them once again only to see the attacks moving much slower than it should be, Wang Ling smiled as white flames bursts out of his body.
He positioned himself to be steady and then took out a sword from his storage ring. It was a mere ordinary sword, but as he filled it with sword qi it became unparalleled and was sharp enough to create a path for him.
Boom!
The ground caved in as bombardment of different techniques descended.
Wang Ling rushed to the skies and flew up with flames gathering in his palms.
By the time he managed to escape the bombardment, Wang Ling's flames were already forming a ball of flame.
Pouring half of his qi into the ball, a white sun was formed and was over half a meter large.
Wang Ling smiled at them and mumbled to himself, "[Heavenly Flame 1st variation: White Sun]."
He threw the White Sun at them and as it neared the ground, he clenched his fist and mumbled to himself, "Explode."
Boom!
The bomb that is the White Sun rocked the mountain peak and destroyed most of his opponents.
