CHAPTER 9 - Areida is dead.
Chapter 9: Areida is dead.
"Silence!"
The secret council was in commotion. Areida still hadn't been found and the royal guard was under a lot of stress. The king wasn't making
anything easier either.
"I thought I said you should keep quiet. We are civilized people, so let's behave like one", the king shouted.
The royal seer walked towards the king, then fell down before him, "Your Majesty, I'm afraid..."
"Gamaliel, what is it?"
Gamaliel gathered courage and looked at him," I'm sorry, Your Majesty. But I'm afraid Areida is dead"

In the forest,
Naturally, Elan and Sunny would not need any equipment to dig. Within minutes, they had hit something.
"What is it?", Claressa asked. Maxwell had been holding her by the shoulders so that she wouldn't run off and do something stupid. But this time, she managed to break free. She jumped into the hole and screamed.
"Claressa, Claressa, what is down there?", Jonathan asked, worry filling his heart.
Soon enough, she stepped out the hole, looking shocked and in her hands was the dead body of Areida.
"There's someone else down there"
Maxwell tried to comfort her while Sebastian jumped into the hole and out also came the body of the nanny. The others were just as shocked as she was.
Claressa dropped to her knees and looked at Maxwell with tears in her eyes. "Why did this have to happen to her? Why Areida? Areida's still a child. She hadn't grown up yet and she had her whole life planned out for herself even at a young age. She wanted to visit so many places. She wanted to be so many things. But now, she's gone"
She stood and with Areida in her hands, she used her vampire speed to reach her kingdom's side of the forest. She dropped Areida and using her powers buried her six feet under.
By the time her friends reached her along with her horse, she was already done. She turned around and looked at them.
"Mark my words. The people responsible for her death will pay with their lives." Looking at the ground, she said," I will get revenge for your death, Areida".
That night, her friends knew that something had snapped within her. Both Claressa's and their worlds would never be the same. Ever.
