Chapter 34: Uncovered.
"Agent Walters".
Alexander ignored him and pulled Allison behind him. "What happened here?", he directed the question at Allison.
Teacher Sims had never been humiliated like this in front of so many people, so he could only grit his teeth in silence and waited for Allison to answer.
"Teacher Sims told I and Courtney to practice doing some moves that he showed us just now. Courtney went overboard during fighting and injured me. After that, I don't know what happened. When I got my senses back, Courtney was already unconscious".
She didn't mention Teacher Sims negligence but unknown to her and the teacher, Alexander and Matthew had been watching everything through the use of surveillance camera and the guy made a mental note to get back at Teacher Sims later.
"Is that so? Then, Courtney is obviously in the wrong. She will be banned from training from a week. Recruits, you all should head back to your rooms and wait for further instructions. Allison, come with me".
Allison followed behind him quietly and dropped her meek and gentle facade once they reached his office. She slammed her hands heavily on his desk.
"What's up with the psychologist that you said I would be meeting every day?"
Alex went round to his seat and sat down. "Why is that every time I meet you, you always behave like a volcano that is about to erupt?"
Allison sat down heavily. “Wow! Really? And whose fault is that?"
"You know, the proper manners is for the owner of the office to say 'take a seat' before you sit down?"
She tilted her head adorably to one side and shrugged her shoulders. "Why do I feel like I'm not the type to follow rules and good manners for that matter?"
"I just hope that you won't violate any serious rules. About the psychologist, she's busy and won't be returning to base till tomorrow. Think you can wait?"
"I can. But who would I talk to in the meantime?"
"Me. I'm a great listener".
"You sure? Cause I don't want to talk to someone that after hearing what I'm about to say would think I'm weird".
"Well, are you?"
Allison ignored his sarcastic comment and spoke. “I regained a piece of my memory the day i met you. When I came downstairs and saw my foster parents dead and inhaled the scent of their blood, it was for a fleeting moment but I saw myself in some type of settlement. The people were dead like they were killed by some type of animal and I was there, moving right in the middle".
"So, what you're trying to say is that you suspect that you may be the only survivor of your community?"
"Hey! You said you were only going to listen!"
He raised his hands in defeat. "My bad. Go on talking".
She inhaled a deep breath and continued, “During training, when Courtney injured me, I don't know how it happened but I was no longer in control. I know that I told everyone that I didn't know what had happened but the truth is I could see everything that was happening only that I felt like a spectator. My own body was doing moves that I didn't even know I had. When Teacher Sims shouted at me to stop, it was like I was put back in control. You get what I mean?"
She was expecting Alexander to answer but he was silent. "Alex?"
"You said I should keep quiet".
"This is not funny. I'm being serious here".
"You girls are confusing creatures. One minute, you mean one thing and the next minute, you mean another. But you know what, you were right. You need a psychologist because I don't understand what you're saying".
"I told you so".
She got up and went to the door but before she left, she turned back. "And also, tell Matthew that he's not being as discreet as he think he is. I'll see you around".
