CHAPTER 32: Training.

Chapter 32: Training.
Monday came and the base was really busy with recruits and teachers getting ready. Each dorm was delivered three sets of uniforms.
At 9am sharp, each recruit was assigned training classes to attend. Everett, Helen, Allison and Courtney ended up in the same class. Allison and Helen were irked but Courtney was enjoying every second of it. If not that decisions such as this were made by the top 3SAs, Helen would have thought Courtney influenced the decision judging by the way she was smiling like that day was her birthday.

Their teacher walked into the room and scanned them all with his eyes, lingering especially on Allison. 'So that's the recruit that Agent Walters brought. She doesn't look like much. What's wrong with Agent Walter's eyes these days?'

Allison felt his eyes on her and looked at him so that they saw eye to eye. He quickly cleared his throat and introduced himself. "I am your teacher, Bruce Sims. You can call me Teacher Sims or my official title ST Bruce. But personally, I prefer Teacher Sims. I will be teaching you martial arts and other aspects of being a good agent for now. When the time comes, you'll choose want you want. There will be occasional competitions between the classes which also will be used to grade you. I want..."

Allison stopped listening and nudged Helen who was paying rapt attention. "What's the meaning of ST? Alex only told me about SS and SA. I don't even know their meanings".

Helen sighed. "We have four ranks. SS, ST, SA and SSA. SS stands for Shadow Starters which we are. ST stands for Shadow Trainers; they are our teachers like Teacher Sims. SA stands for Shadow Agent, they go out on missions like Agent Walters. Just take note that when we call them by ST and SA, it is SA and their first name but if Teacher or Agent, it is Teacher and their last name. Lastly, SSA stands for Special Shadow Agent.We know the rank exists but we don't know who they are. Rumors are that they were deployed as children to infiltrate terrorist organizations and give information from time to time. There are even rumors that they were personally trained by the leader himself".

"Really?"

"Miss Harper and Miss Jackson, is there something you want to say?"

The two girls immediately separated but unfortunately for Allison, the teacher had already set his eyes on her.
"Allison and Courtney, please come forward. Class, today I'm going to demonstrate some basic moves of a martial art known as karate with these two ladies".
From the back, Helen murmured to herself "This is bad".

Teacher Sims demonstrated the moves and some recruits paid close attention. Recruits that already knew these moves, didn't listen but instead placed bets on which either of Alexander's recruits will win. Once he was done, it was time for Allison and Courtney to 'practice'.

He didn't need to say it but all the recruits there knew that he wanted Alexander's only recruits to have a showdown!
