Chapter 20: Break Out.
Nightfall came and it was finally time for Isla and the crew to execute their plans. Isla led them around the dungeon while pointing out the entry
and exits points. She even showed them doors they never knew existed.
"My role ends here. The best way to enter this dungeon is through the front gate. Even with the guards distracted, you only have limited time to
get her out of there. Good luck".
She left and the boys immediately went to work. Elan and Sunny used magic to lure the guards away from the prison gates. Sebastian stayed at the
gates while Maxwell and Jonathan ran in and unlocked Claressa's cell doors.
"Claressa, get up and let's go".
But Claressa didn't move from where she was.
"What's wrong?", Jonathan asked.
"You guys could get in trouble for this. Have you considered what will happen if all of us are caught? My mother can even get dethroned for
having a hand in this".
"Don't worry about that. If you harness your speed well enough, you'll be out of this kingdom in no time", Maxwell replied.
"That's another problem. I don't know what they did to this cell but I feel like my powers are sleeping. I've been feeling very weak".
"Sh*t. I forgot about that", Jonathan said in frustration.
"Forgot about what?", Maxwell asked, turning to face him.
"They use spells in all the cells to weaken the abilities of inmates. That's why there've been no breakouts like this in years".
"Well, in her case there's outside help, so there's nothing to worry sbout. We have limited time. We need to get her to the barrier as soon as
possible".
"The barrier?", Claressa asked in confusion.
"Yes, the barrier. The teachers gave us lessons on it. Don't tell me you slept during geography class?"
Claressa put a finger on her chin. "I think so?"
They immediately carried her out with Sebastian behind them and they ran as fast as they could to the barrier. Once Claressa’s feet touched the
ground, she touched the barrier with a finger and the words that came out of her mouth was "It's beautiful"
All: “...!"
"What? Seriously, its beautiful. But you guys are men so you won't understand this kind of beauty".
Once again, they were rendered speechless. But they really couldn't see the beauty she was talking about. The barrier was plain.
"Run along now. It's time for you to go".
But Claressa just stood there, not moving an inch.
"What's wrong this time?", Maxwell asked.
She slowly turned and there were obvious tears in her eyes.
