CHAPTER 13- Unwanted Problem

Chapter 13 - Unwanted Problem.

Levi Blank didn't actually think that his family would die in that way. There was supposed to be a bonfire that night because of the full moon.

"Levi, what are you standing there for? Go and get more firewood. The party is about to start", his mother, Selena, told him.

Everyone was in high spirits as the party was approaching. Levi walked off into the woods but soon stopped when he heard a scream behind him.

"Mother".

He turned and began to run back to the village. But it was too late. Not like he could do anything anyways. The wolf had already started killing people and his mother was part of them. He managed to pass through the back of the village and was able to drag his mother from there. But that was all he could do. Even when the wolf had transformed and went back to its human form, he didn't dare go near. Everybody in the village referred to him as a scaredy cat.

He held his mom's face and started crying. They were only two in their family as his father had died some years back. He managed to dig a
spot close to the house and buried her there. He then curled himself up and slept there. He was awoken the next morning by the sound of
footsteps.

He crawled forward while trying not to make a sound. When he was close enough, he finally got a view of them.

"Finally, some help. What took them so long?". He was about to move forward but stopped in his tracks when he saw the emblem of Nemorosa on them.

"On second thought, I don't think they're coming for us".

His thoughts were confirmed cause the group of them went straight to the girl on the ground and took her away from there. When carrying her away, her hand dropped down and Levi was able to see the ring on her finger.

"No way! Was that the hybrid princess of Nemorosa? This is bad. This is really bad. I need to tell the king", Levi said once he was sure they were out of earshot.

And that is exactly what he did. He managed to get to the castle and requested an audience with the king. They allowed him in one he said that it was a matter of grave concern.

"Mr Blank, why do you want to see me?", the king asked once Levi entered the throne room.

"Your Majesty, I came from a small village on the outskirts of Moonhaven. Yesterday, there was a full moon and as we were non-shifters, we
decided to just celebrate it. However, a wolf emerged from the forest and killed everyone but I was able to hide myself. Once the wolf was done
killing everyone I ever knew, it fainted and changed back to its human. It was a girl but I didn't dare go near for fear that it was still conscious so I decided to wait and see what would happen. This morning, a group of men came in and took her. That was when I found out that she was the princess of our neighboring kingdom, Nemorosa". Once he was done with his narration, he was breathing hard.

"It looks like the king of Nemorosa would like a visit", the king said.
