CHAPTER 12 - The Survivor.

Chapter 12: The Survivor
The search party that the king organized for his daughter consisted of her friends, Horace, Clark and her uncle Zarin.

"Seriously, when will your family problems end? First, we had to look for Areida, now we are looking for Claressa. I just hope that we won’t have to look for you Clark. Where do you think she might have gone?"

At this time, they were in the forest. They had been searching all through the night but had not still found her.

"I dunno. Horace, you were there, right? Did her eyes really change color?", Clark asked.

"Yes, it did".

"Well, they said that unmastered abilities fed off the worst emotions. Maxwell, who do you think she's angry at?"

"Last time we all met, she thinks Moonhaven killed her sister. She promised her killers a miserable death".

"But I don't get it. Why would they kill her and bury her in their own forest? Why not just burn her body or bury her body far away from here”?
Jonathan asked.

"That's not our concern right now. When we get back, we can think about that. Do you guys believe Moonhaven killed my sister?", Clark asked all of them in general.

"Clark, I don't know what to believe anymore. But I know one thing is for certain. She is angry at Moonhaven. So, she probably went there. We've been searching our forest the entire night but we haven't still found her", Maxwell replied.

"Are you saying what I think you are saying? You're not suggesting that we cross the border without permission, right?"

"I am so glad that someone finally understands me", Sunny said.

"Actually, that is exactly what I'm suggesting", Maxwell said, ignoring the comment Sunny made.

"Okay then. If that's the case, let's cross it. I need to find the only remaining sister I have and she's obviously not anywhere around here". Clark was obviously agreeing with Maxwell and Sunny was shocked.

He ran after them."Hey, what if we run into Moonhaven patrol?"

"Stop being a buzzkill, Sunny".

Despite all of Sunny's protests, they crossed the border, again.
"Where did you find Areida's body and where did you bury her?", Clark asked Sebastian.

"I don't really remember the exact spot but we found her body here while Claressa buried her in Nemorosa's forest".

"Okay. There was a full moon yesterday, right?", Maxwell asked no one in particular.

"Yes, but what has that got to do with finding Claressa?”, Horace asked.

"Horace, I think what Clark is trying to say is that Moonhaven's inhabitants are werewolves and yesterday was the full moon it was necessary for them to turn. They might have gotten Claressa in that state", Zarin said.

But Elan was angry when he heard that. He held him by the collar. "She's your niece. How can you be so comfortable saying that? You and your brother don't seem fazed by Areida's death. Claressa can't die. She's not allowed to, not while we are all alive".

He would have punched him if all the guys present didn't get him off Zarin. “That wasn't what I meant. I was talking about the harm Claressa
could do to THEM. Last night was a full moon and her eyes had changed. It is possible that she had her first shift and attacked a non- shifter
community. Wolves aren’t fools even in their animal state and her wolf would definitely not attack a community full of shifters."

"That may be right. But which shifter community is close to where we are?", Elan asked.

All this time they've been talking, they've also been moving. Unknown to then they were getting closer to the non- shifter community.
"Wait. Is that Claressa?"

They managed to reach her and lifted her from the ground. They looked around and saw that most of the building were already gone and burnt down.
"Did she do this?", Zarin asked in disbelief.
None of them answered and they quickly took her back to Nemorosa.

Unknown to them, there was a survivor. A survivor who was likely to spark a war between Nemorosa and Moonhaven.
