Henry rolled his eyes as he kissed her hard before making his point.  "The case is filed. Did you not look at the documents you signed yourself?  It said that we tried to make a child and in the process we found out that you could not have children.  As long as there's a pharmacy, our case can't be affected. No one is going to submit your ovulation strips for evidence in a court of law.  I should know the type of birth control my wife uses. You know I should have my own protection to prevent my ties to you from causing you any further discomfort or pain." He face grew so serious that Ellie playfully bit his nose until his attention returned to her. He splashed her as his grip around her grey tight as he covered her face with light fresh kisses. 

Ellie tilted her head back and rubbed the hair out of her eyes.  Henry's mouth kissed her forehead as she took in several deep breaths.  "Henry . . . my goodness. You don't condoms in this house. You didn't think to bring condoms when you were out making a lovers feast.  You bought swimming trunks and--"

Henry sighed and pushed her so there was some space while they bobbed in the water.  He put a hand over his own face to clear off the water their movement had generated in a splash.  "This isn't some type of love nest, Ellie. It's literally just a bed and kitchen. I just wanted a place to sleep if I got too overwhelmed.  Michael usually stocks everything for me, I don't really think about those things."

Ellie's expression changed as she realized that this was not a place for him to bring his mistress after all.  She had overreacted. He was not as sleezy as she had been prepared for. She got up out of the jacuzzi and wrapped a towel around herself.  She felt strangely exposed as the cool water on her body made her shiver as her wet hair dripped onto the floor. She heard Henry get out behind her.  "Hey, I'm going to take a shower and get ready to turn in."

As she moved forwards, Henry reached forwards and grabbed her by the leg.  She paused as she was unsure as to why he had done so. He made an unpleasant groan.  "Have I done something wrong? I apologize if I've done anything to offend you?"

Ellie peaked under her leg to see the maestro's lower half covered in a towel as his wet hair dripped into his rapidly blinking eyes.  She shook her head reassuringly so he let go of her leg. She turned and patted his head. "I know you tried really hard today and I appreciate everything that you did.  I really enjoyed the jacuzzi. But, I am starting to turn into a prune so I want a shower."

He blew out air and then turned over.  His hair was rapidly drying to a curling mess on his face.  He threw his hands up as he got up. "Thank goodness. I thought I messed this up again."

Ellie handed him a towel and started to rub his hair dry as he began to relax into her.  He made small sounds of pleasure as her hands massaged his scalp. She finally let his hands replace hers as she went off to turn herself back into a human being.  He was still wet when she reemerged in a cotton nightie she knew had too many wrinkles to be sexy.

His turn in the shower was much quicker so by the time he had found her again, she was illuminated by her electronic reader as she was tucked into the enormous bed.  His own silk pajamas were much more luxurious than anything she had ever worn, but she didn't comment on them as she watched him from her peripheral vision check her overnight bag.  He pulled something out with a loud shriek as she put her tablet down to see what the fuss was about.

Henry held up a wrapped condom to her with a look of horror.  "Why do you have condoms?"

Ellie shrugged with her arms crossed.  "Those have been in there for two years."

Henry squinted at the packaging.  "They're not expired. Ellie--" He pointed one accusatorily at her.  "Are you cheating on me? Why do you have these? You obviously brought them with to England.  Michael would have seen these and thought some things. Did you tell him to have that talk with me?"

Her face fell into confusion.  "What talk? Staying together? No, I hate when people give that talk to me.  I would never. Why does it bother you that I have them here?"

"I'm not your end goal Ellie.  I can't be. We planned--"

Ellie was suddenly in front of his face.  She had moved so quickly that Henry didn't have time to react.  She put the condom back where it had been, in a pouch in her bag.  "What were you looking for?"

"I wanted a face wipe to refresh myself." Henry said quietly as he moved back to sit on the bed.  He put his face in his hands as he spoke. "I have dealt with so many women with bad intentions that I just . . . you know women poke holes in condoms so they'll have the Wong heir?  Why would anyone want to be in my crazy family?"

There was a dip in the bed next to him before Ellie's cool hands moved his out of the way so she could see his face.  She rubbed calming circles into the back of his hands until his breathing returned to normal. She spoke softly. "I know those thing happen to you.  They happen to everyone. Women when they get to a certain age just want to be settled. It's happened to my friends who are doctors and lawyers. You're not alone Henry.  Don't put all the pressure inside of you or it'll explode. You'll go drink and do something you'll regret." She put a hand on his knee. "Those condoms are my birth control.  I don't like talking regular hormone pills as my weight fluctuates and I don't like the mood swings. I had a bad reaction with them. I have a pregnancy test in there too as well as some plan B.  I'm going to be safe because I don't want you to have worries about me. You've treated me with so much love and respect that I wanted to do that to you. The gift you gave me was security, I want you to feel safe with me."

He said her name softly before tasting her again.  Henry pushed her back on the bed until she was under him.  His weight on top of her was light as his tongue explored her mouth.  She touched his back lightly as the friction sent little shocks of energy straight down.  Ellie closed her legs and writhed as his attention turned to kisses down her neck. She felt his breath against her ear.  "No one ever thinks of me. Why do you only know how to ease me?"

Before she could answer he kissed her deeply again.  He spared her a moment to throw off his shirt before dipping down to tug at the ties on the edge of her nightgown.  He got the top one free and opened the top panel to see the slinky black bralette that she liked to wear to sleep. There was a small push up which made little swells of her small breasts which he traced with his tongue.

Ellie reacted in her own way.  She traced his musculature with her own hands which seem to spur him with more intention. Her attention then moved to the silk pants which had been pulled up by their bed antics.  The pant leg was twisted up and above one of his knees so Ellie strained it before touching the ties keeping his pants up. She touched lower which drew a groan as he collapsed next to her, his eyes looking down at where she was touching with shock.  His hand closed over hers as he let out a deeper sound which was definitely filled with dark intent as he stared at her hungrily.

Quickly Ellie's hands moved back to give him some room.  He looked down at himself and at her quickly. His hand pulled the panel of the night dress closed before he fastened it.  Henry knew he could do anything and Ellie would accept the outcome. She was definitely one to roll with the punches, but he knew that would be incredibly unfair to her as his mind still dwell on another woman.  He could reach his peak quickly, but that would introduce more insecurity when she was alone.

He tied off her gown with a little bow before settling back with a feeling of emptiness.  Henry knew he would have to wait a bit before he would feel comfortable enough to sleep. He turned to her wild eyes and reassured her.  "You bring me a feeling of calm. I know I have not been as kind to you as our future is muddled. I respect you too much to lose our friendship to passion.  If I end up using those condoms or if I don't . . . I don't want to regret the experience for the rest of my life because I owe you that."

"Henry . . . even I know how stupid it would be not to use a condom."

His face fell as he realized what he had said.  "No, I just want you to feel precious and beautiful and lovely as you make me feel.  Emotionally I'm a mess. Now on the topic of children--" He looked at her with a long look.  "I'm tired. I didn't mean that."

"But you did say it."

Henry nodded.  Then he turned and put a pillow over his head.  "Don't tell Michael." He could hear her laughing as she cuddled into him.  He pulled the pillow away and pulled his arms around her. Henry couldn't help that he always wanted her to feel cherished when he was with her.  He wasn't sure where it came from, but she made it stronger. Even children . . . he couldn't fathom it with anyone other than her. How strange?
