The Bear was going crazy, it now had a tingling feeling, this was someone who it could hurt it now, Hartley was seeing every strike from the bear in slow motion he adjusted his movement technique to only make minute movements to dodge each slash of the bear's claw by the closest margin, he then countered and punched out with is Star fist technique, this time there was a faint blue glow surrounding his hands, it landed on the stomach of the bear pushing it back 6 meters. its hind legs left 2 trenches in the ground with dirt and dust flying, it slid back in an unstable manner for the last 3 meters..

The bear turned around fleeing in panic...Hartley retracted his gravity field and let it leave, it could be said that without the bear he would still be weak, 2 encounters with this Black Bear had directly lead to him becoming much stronger and unbeknownst to Hartley right now, in the future that black bear was going to be the symbol of his power ...

He started to leave the Forest realizing he was a bit conceited, his pride was taken down a notch but his experience and battle knowledge had gone up a notch. He was determined to leaved the outskirts of the Forest and dominate the world of cultivation becoming a name for all to remember..

But the lessons he had learnt in this forest which he did not even know the name of, was to be his foundation on his long road to immortality..

Three days later Hartley returned to the Shack at the foot of the mountain, for the past 3 nights he hadn't had a wink of sleep, he had been cultivating Blue Star power religiously. He had strengthened his foundation at half step xiantian, he was just a thin line away from being a full fledged Xiantian realm expert but no amount of brute force could get him there, the key to stepping across the line was understanding.. He was once again laying on his bed looking at his ceiling... he had outgrown this environment.

On a secluded mountain in the Loud clan two elders were having a conversation.

"How is he doing?" asked an elder sporting a hooded robe.

"He turned up a week ago and he is still alive in the mountain which defies belief," answered another cloaked figure.

"Hmmn, don't forget who his mother was, he might be special" said the first elder while scratching his beard distracted by his own thoughts..
