/Flashback to the day of Ying Ying's death

Ying Ying called Yang Xue early in the morning before Ku Ze went to work.

Ying Ying: "Yang Xue, can you please come to our beach house in the afternoon? I think someone is trying to hurt me and my child. Please."

Although Yang Xue didn't like her and Qiu Rei, but the child is innocent so she decided to go see her in the afternoon.

Yang Xue: "Why aren't you telling Qiu Rei this instead of me? He's your husband."

Ying Ying: "I'll tell you when you get here. It's not convenient talking now."

Yang Xue: "Alright. I'll see you at the beach house."

Ku Ze gave Ya Nuo a kiss on her small forehead before hugging Yang Xue from behind, "Honey, who was that?"

"Ying Ying."

"Why did she call so early?"

"She said she thinks that someone is trying to hurt her and her baby so she wanted me to see her in the afternoon."

"Hmm.. this woman is tricky so I'll go with you during my lunch time."

"Alright. Hurry and go to work."

"Aww.. Just a few more minutes. Our little Nuo is too cute that I don't want to split with her. She's so tiny that you just want to keep her in your arms till she wakes up."

"You can play with her when you come back. You need to earn money to afford her diapers and future education."

"I know I know. Heh, then I'll see you at lunch. Get some rest while she's asleep."

/Beach House

Yang Xue: "Hmm? That's weird.. is she not home? But she's the one who told me this time is okay."

Ku Ze: "Maybe she's taking a nap? Try calling her."

Ring Ring

Yang Xue: "Her phone is ringing in the house..."

Ku Ze banged on the door and realized that the door was not locked. "How careless of her to leave the door unlocked..."

They entered the house and called for Ying Ying, but there was no response. Yang Xue tried to call her cellphone again and they followed where the sound was coming from. Ku Ze pushed opened the door to the kitchen and found Ying Ying in a pool of blood on the floor.

Yang Xue quickly dialed for emergency help and that was when Yang Qiu Rei came home with lunch and bags of baby essentials.

"Honey~ I'm home. Look what I bought for our child...." the bags in his hands tumbled on the floor and items from the bag flew out. Qiu Rei pushed Ku Ze out of the way and held her hands while his body shook vigorously.

"You..You're going to be alright. Our child is fine.. It's okay..I'm here. Nobody can hurt you. Who did this... Who??" he asked.

When she tried to answer him, she spat out a mouthful of blood and pointed at where Yang Xue was standing. She spat two more mouthfuls of blood and collapsed in his arms. Her eyes never opened again. Slowly, her body lost its warmth and Qiu Rei hugged her in disbelief. He started singing the lullaby that he learned for his unborn child and wife.

"Ying Ying... I'll sing for you so you'll sleep better okay? Our child is misbehaving again isn't he? He's kicking you again and giving you a rough time right? I'll sing to you so you can relax and sleep. I'll be here when you wake up okay?..Are you bored with this song? Then I'll sing your favorite princess song.. you know the Cinderella one where they lived happily ever after? I made up a new song for you recently.. I'll sing that..." he continued whispering in her ears in a lamentable tone.

After a while, he took the blanket that was on the couch and covered her body that was reducing in temperature. "See? I told you that you'll get cold when you sit on the floor for too long. You said exercises could help you give birth to a healthy son... Now that you are tired, you're sleeping and not wanting to talk to me anymore.." his voice started breaking and his tears rolled down his face.

"Ho..honey, please open your eyes. I want to eat the fried rice you said you'll make for me for dinner. I can't wait anymore. I'm hungry. Didn't you say that we'll listen to our baby's heart beat with the new monitor we bought? Wake up.. please. I don't need anyone or anything.. just you...please.." he whimpered in her shoulders and kissed her multiple times. He faced her pale to a bit yellow complexion and sobbed. His blood shot eyes glared at Yang Xue and Ku Ze as he raged loudly, "What did she ever do to you to deserve death?!! Because of your fucking company? I knew she was a spy since the beginning, but we fell in love with each other. She decided to come clean with me and tell me everything. We were happy! I had a wife and a son! I had everything, but you guys had to take away my whole world. She and our child are my life! You murderers!!!"

Yang Xue: "We didn't kill her! We came in a few minutes before you did and she was already like this"

"Lies!!! Ying Ying wouldn't use her and our child's death to frame you. You guys killed her. You merciless monsters will burn in hell!!! She's only a pregnant woman who wanted to be a good person and wife. She changed a lot for me. She learned how to cook and clean for me. We were rubbing her stomach yesterday and talking about our child's future together! It's all gone... all gone... why...? Is it because she is carrying my son and you're afraid that my son will be the heir of the corporation? Huh?! Is money that important to you monsters?!!!"

Ku Ze: "If we were the ones who did this to her why would we stay behind and watch her die? We even called the ambulance for her. Trust me, no matter how much we dislike her we won't hurt her or your child. The child is our family too."

After medical staffs and police officers arrived, Qiu Rei was covered in Ying Ying's blood. He was mumbling to himself and to her ears. He smiled, laughed, cried, and talked to her about their plans. But no matter how many words he said to her, her eyes never opened and looked at him again. Her smile won't appear on her face anymore.
