When Little Melon came back, he noticed the atmosphere between his mother and Nian Jiezhen. Because of the heavy atmosphere around them, he couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong, momma? Sister Jiezhen?"

"Nothing." They both said at the same time. When they did, Xia Meilin and Nian Jiezhen looked at each other before they crossed their arms and turned away. "Hmpf."

Little Melon blinked a lot when he watched them in sync. He tilted his head to the side and couldn't help but wonder if they were fighting or they were just mad at each other.

The little boy let out a heavy sigh. He walked towards them and stood in the middle. "Okay, who started it?"

"She did." Xia Meilin and Nian Jiezhen once again said at the same time.

"Stop copying me." They glared at each other.

"Stop, stop, stop. Mello will listen to both sides." Little Melon quickly said. If they continued on like this they might start fighting with their fists.

Because of what Little Melon said, the two women obediently became quiet.

Little Melon turned to Nian Jiezhen as if waiting on what she has to say.

"She came here to provoke me," said Nian Jiezhen with a serious look on her face.

"Provoke you? I'm here to warn you not to approach MY husband. You like him and I'm not going to sit still and do nothing while some other women try to seduce him!" growled Xia Meilin.

"Who's trying to seduce him? Have you seen me seducing him? Oh please. What's wrong in liking him? At least I'm not trying to steal him from you!" Nian Jiezhen retorted in annoyance.

"Not trying? My husband is just so in love with me that whatever you're trying in making a move to him, it is not affecting him!"

While Xia Meilin and Nian Jiezhen continued on arguing, Little Melon was calmly standing in the middle. He cupped his chin as if thinking of something.

So the main problem here was about his father. Little Melon sighed before he raised his hands to them. "Stoooop!"

The two women turned to him when they heard his little voice.

Little Melon turned to his mother, "Momma, I don't think it's wrong to like dada. Mello likes dada, mami likes dada, auntie Jing likes dada, grandpa and grandma like dada, uncle Xian Yu likes dada, uncle Su Lei likes dada and there are more people who like dada."

"You won't be able to understand us, Xiao Gua. You're just a kid." Xia Meilin huffed as she started to fan herself with the folding fan she brought.

"No, momma. Mello understands. Sister Jiezhen likes dada and momma's being jealous because another person likes dada. Don't worry, momma. Mello likes you too, even grandpa and grandma. Uncle Sinian and sister Bingbing likes you too."

Xia Meilin heaved out a heavy sigh, "Why are you siding with her, Xiao Gua? I'm your mother, you should be on my side."

"That's because Mello knows that there's nothing wrong in liking other people."

Nian Jiezhen nodded in agreement with what the little boy said.

Little Melon turned to Nian Jiezhen, "Sister Jiezhen can only like dada but you can't steal him, okay? Dada belongs to momma."

The pout on Xia Meilin's lips was instantly replaced by a bright smile. Her son was on her side after all!

It was Nian Jiezhen's turn to sigh, "How many times do I have to tell you that I don't have intentions to steal him?" She turned to Xia Meilin, "I'm just not convinced in you being his wife."

"Do you know why a cheetah don't run together with dogs? Because it's an insult for him to prove himself when he's already the fastest among them."

"Dada said that to Mello before." Little Melon grinned happily.

"And I said that to him." Nian Jiezhen crossed her arms. "So what are you trying to point out?"

"Well..." She paused and smirked at her. "I'm just saying that you're a dog, I'm a cheetah, I don't need to prove myself to you."

Nian Jiezhen blinked a few times. Instead of taking that as an insult, she found it amusing that's why she started laughing out loud.

Little Melon and Xia Meilin looked at each other in confusion.

"She's gone mad." Xia Meilin shrugged. She stood up and held Little Melon's hand. "Come, baby, you're all sweaty, you need to change your clothes."

"But sister Jiezhen will still teach me..."

"It's okay. That's all for today, master the steps that I taught you well before we start our next lesson." Nian Jiezhen patted Little Melon's head before she walked ahead and entered the house. "Ah, I need a warm bath."

Xia Meilin stared at Nian Jiezhen's back and huffed. If it weren't for her son, she might have really shot her down.

Little Melon frowned, "Momma, it hurts."

Xia Meilin snapped out of her thoughts and looked at Little Melon, she noticed that she was holding his hand tight that's why she quickly loosen it. "I'm sorry, baby."

"It's okay, momma." Little Melon let out one of his adorable smiles, "You know momma, sister Jiezhen is a nice person. Momma shouldn't bully sister Jiezhen. Bullying is bad."

"I'm not bullying her." Xia Meilin pouted as she denied it. "Does she look like being bullied to you?"

Little Melon paused and gave it a thought before he shook his head. "But still, momma should be nice to sister Jiezhen because sister Jiezhen is a nice person."

Xia Meilin huffed in annoyance. "What's so nice about her?"

"She's nice enough to teach Mello how to catch and fight bad guys!"

The fact that Little Melon was on her side because of that made Xia Meilin more irritated. First, Nian Jiezhen was targeting her husband, Lu Yifeng. Now, she changed her target to Little Melon!

Xia Meilin's first impression towards Nian Jiezhen was bad, that's why she won't be changing her mind about her anytime soon.
