Jing Wanru and her husband were really glad to learn that their daughter was already married and pregnant.

"When do you plan on holding your wedding?" Asked Jing Wanru.

She was currently accompanying Nian Jiezhen in the market.

Nian Jiezhen was wearing a mask so that she wouldn't be recognized by other people, especially Ren Shiyuan's fans.

"Maybe after a year or two." She responded while pushing the cart.

Her mother frowned when she heard her answer, "That's too long."

"We're already married, the celebration can be delayed later." Nian Jiezhen didn't care about having a wedding. 

Jing Wanru ended up sighing heavily. How the hell did she end up giving birth to such a daughter?

Don't she know how precious weddings are?

"Don't you want to wear a white wedding dress and walk down the aisle? You will also exchange beautiful vows with your boyfri- I mean, husband." She tried to convince her daughter.

Jing Wanru ended up sighing, "Your cousin's wedding is in this coming weekend. He has sent you an invitation, you should go." Hopefully, Nian Jiezhen will change her mind after attending one.

Inside the wedding suite, Xia Meilin was wearing a strapless, white wedding dress of semi- embroidered fabric accentuated her thin waist. The dress was pleated and dragged across the floor. Xia Meilin was wearing earrings and necklace, both from Tu0026V's premium collection. Finally, her shoes were a pair of crystal glass high heeled shoes that were adorned with a feminine bow design.

Xia Meilin's bridesmaid was only Nian Jiezhen who was wearing a beautiful baby blue line dress which showed off her shockingly long and unique legs.

"So, when do you plan on marrying Ren Shiyuan?" Xia Meilin asked with a grin plastered on her lips.

The only people who know that Nian Jiezhen was pregnant and already married were her parents and Ren Shiyuan's parents. 

"Hm… after a year or two, maybe even eight years I guess." Nian Jiezhen answered with a serious face as she received Xia Meilin's veil from the makeup artist and helped her put it on.

"Ah… I suddenly feel sorry for Ren Shiyuan."

The reason why Nian Jiezhen was chosen by Xia Meilin to become her bridesmaid was because she took a bullet to save Lu Yifeng. Aside from that, because of Nian Jiezhen's cool work, Xia Meilin started seeing Nian Jiezhen in a different light.

"You know, if you made him wait long, he might get tired and break up with you." She looked at her underneath her veil.

Nian Jiezhen furrowed her brows, "Are you trying to jinx my relationship with him?"

Xia Meilin shrugged her shoulders, "Who knows? But to be honest, one thing I know about Ren Shiyuan, he is not a very patient person. He'll definitely try to persuade you from time and time again before you know it."

"Then I guess I will have to teach him how to wait."

"What if finds someone else?"

Nian Jiezhen lowered her head. She was already married to Ren Shiyuan, she also knew his pasts with other women. What if he suddenly got tired of her and asked her for a divorce?

Actually, she has given it a thought already. If that thing happens then… "I do not have the power to stop his feelings. If he can find someone else, then I'll let him go."

The sound of a slap resounded throughout the room which made the makeup artist and hairstylist surprised. Well… Nian Jiezhen was surprised too.

She snapped out of her trance and held her stinging cheek, "Xia Meilin, are you crazy?!"

"Nian Jiezhen, you need to take your relationship with Ren Shiyuan more seriously! I understand that you value your work more than anything but that doesn't mean you have to forsake everything else just because of it! Don't throw away the effort Ren Shiyuan is giving you! I have the right to say this on behalf of Ren Shiyuan because he is also my friend!"

Nian Jiezhen clenched her fists as she looked away. She has already given up her work for Ren Shiyuan's sake.

"If you're in a relationship, both of you should work on it. Don't let Ren Shiyuan work alone in your relationship. You should trust him more, not only that, you should be brave enough to keep your relationship together!

Nian Jiezhen hated to admit it but she knew that what Xia Meilin said was right.

The quiet room was disturbed when Xia Meilin's phone started ringing. She took it and looked at it, she saw Li Bingbing's name on the screen.

Because of Li Bingbing's situation, she couldn't attend her best friend's ceremony but…

"Damn girl! You look extra beautiful!" Li Bingbing exclaimed through the video call. In the video call, she had messy hair and she was breastfeeding her daughter, Xia Mengjie.

Xia Meilin couldn't help but smile when she saw Li Bingbing, "Can't you at least dress prettily today?"

"Nuh, no can't do. This little monster is taking up all my time. If I take my eyes off her, she'll wreck the whole place."
