He watched the nurses take Daniel Wu and Han Zhilong inside the ambulance after telling the police what happened. It was for self-defense that Ren Shiyuan ended up beating Daniel Wu and his companion.

"You caught them... That's what matters."

Dale turned to her a bit surprised.

She just responded with a smile before she faced Ren Shiyuan who was now approaching her.

"Watch over her." Jeremy patted his back.

Ren Shiyuan had a hard time smiling but he managed to give him a nod before he entered the ambulance.

Nian Jiezhen lied back down on the bed, she reached out and held Ren Shiyuan's hand.

"Thank you..."

He leaned and placed a gentle kiss on her hand, "Anything for you, princess." 

Nian Jiezhen never expected that Ren Shiyuan was the one who was going to save her.

She realized that all this time, Ren Shiyuan was actually going easy towards her whenever she was beating him up. She found it funny actually. 

He acted like a weak man but all this time, he was not.

Ren Shiyuan's gentle touch on her made her close her eyes and just like that, she easily drifted off to sleep.

He stared at her sleeping face. Ren Shiyuan couldn't imagine the pain that she must have gone through... It was devastating for him to see her that way.

He kept blaming himself for not being able to protect her. The guilt inside him grew and so was the pain. 

Ren Shiyuan was the one having a hard time at that moment when he saw the bruises and cuts on her arm.

Her beautiful skin was now tainted with a purple bruise and red cuts.

Ah... He really wanted to kill Daniel Wu and Han Zhilong so many times.

"For now, Ms. Nian's condition is stable." The doctor said, looking at Ren Shiyuan.
