Ren Shiyuan stared at her for a while, he was obviously worried for her. There was this weird feeling inside him that was bothering him.

"From now on, you should always have a bodyguard with you, Shiyuan. Don't go out alone."

He chuckled, "You are underestimating me, princess."

"You shouldn't overestimate yourself. If you feel that you are being followed, you have to tell someone at once or call me, okay?"

"Then should I hire you as my personal bodyguard?"

Nian Jiezhen frowned, "I can't become your bodyguard. You know that."

He bit his lower lip. He only wanted her to be close to him where he can keep an eye on her.

It looked like it was impossible after all.

"This is what you get for working in this kind of job! You know that it's dangerous and yet you still want to keep on working!" He stomped his foot like a child, pouting.

"No one will take this job if you let your fears keep on overcoming you."

"Still..."

She chuckled softly, she knew that Ren Shiyuan was just worried. She approached him and touched his cheek gently, "I'll be fine, I promise."

"You got hurt in the last case you were in." 

"That's unavoidable."

Ren Shiyuan held the hand that was on his cheek. He slightly turned his head and kissed the back of it. "But still."

She leaned and pecked his lips, "I'll be fine so you should be careful for me, okay?"

Ren Shiyuan was surprised at the sudden kiss she gave him. It was so straightforward and he didn't even ask her for one.

When surprise him more was when Nian Jiezhen hugged him without complaints.

She would usually shy away from him but at that moment, she was being sweet to him. It was scaring him.

"Did you eat some weird food earlier?"

"Huh?" She looked at him in confusion.

"I need to know what you are earlier..." So that he can keep on feeding it to her.

He wrapped his arms around him and kissed her lips softly before he pulled away to look at her reaction.

She blushed but she didn't push him away or even looked away from him like she usually does.

"Princess, are you feeling fine?"

She blinked a few times, "I am."

"Are you sure?"

"I really am."

He squinted his eyes and held her cheeks with both hands, turning her head from side to side and this only made Nian Jiezhen annoyed.

"I am fine dammit!"

"No, you're not. You're acting weird."

She furrowed her brows together, "Do you want me to beat you up?"

"This is more like you." He grinned upon seeing that she was back to her usual self. 

She frowned deeply, she kicked his knee and the moment he released her to bend, she walked away from him.

"Idiot."

"Ow... How can you be so cruel?"

She rolled her eyes. She went to the kitchen to get a drink. 

"Anyway, you should let me know your schedule for this week so that I know where to find you."

"About that..." Ren Shiyuan trailed off.

It was already trending in the social media that he was going to leave the entertainment world. His fans we're sad about it but after receiving a word from Ren Shiyuan that he wanted to start a family and live quietly, most of the netizens supported him in it.

He was still the owner of one of the leading companies in the entertainment industry so his face will still be seen from time to time in social media and in some events.
