Meanwhile, back in a room at the Du Mansion, a body was slumped over the seat . In front of him was 4 monitors that were glaring brightly at him, scolding him for his incompetence . The owner of the body groaned and cursed at the screens and the files scattered across the table .
Callum had been up the whole night, trying to look for information on Kai Xin . He had spent a considerable amount of time and money to research this Kara Zhen Kai Xin behind DX's back . If his brother found out about this, no doubt he would have to suffer through more pain . However, for DX's sake, he was willing to brave through his fury .
When his investigations brought back nothing, he got irritated and decided to dig back further in time . With his team of hackers already in position, he sent them an encrypted message and ordered them to find everything they can on her, from the time she was born .
"She must have something! How is it possible for someone her age to have so little virtual presence!"
He cursed as he stared at her online profile . Other than her Linkedin which merely contained descriptions of her career - which was exceptional - and some photos from her mother's and her friends' Facebook accounts where she was always partially obscured, he could not find anything else .
Well, her name was mentioned in newspapers every now and then but there was no photo . It was as if she had barely lived . . . as if she had been actively hiding her presence .
Callum's fingers flew across the keyboard as he quickly sent another encrypted message to his team , "If you cannot find anything on her, investigate those around her! I don't trust anyone who does not have an online profile!"

By the time she woke up, it was already past 10am . She pulled out her phone from her bag and saw that she received three messages from DX .
8 . 00 am - [ Morning, Han Ye told your boss that you would be going outstation with me to discuss on the project . Don't worry about being late to work . ]
9 . 00 am - [ Are you awake? Hangover? Should I send some soup over? ]
9 . 05 am - [ Just stay at home today . Han Ye will deliver the hungover soup over . ]
Groggily, she texted him to let him know that she was awake and that she would be staying at home today . As she dragged herself to the bathroom, she received another message . However, it was a message from an annoying person .
[ DAISY . TO9@8pm . LOVE <3, GHOST . ]
"Love your head . " She muttered and did not bother to reply the message . After she freshened up, she went to the kitchen and found a note from her mum .
[ Your man sent the soup . Drink it . BTW, if you get drunk again, see if I would beat the shit out of you . Love, Mummy]
"What a violent woman…" She thought as she poured out the soup .

Kai Xin went to the gym for a few hours of workout session . By the time she was done, she decided to go to the mall to shop around .
DX's birthday is coming up and she wanted to get him something . As she was strolling around, she saw the cutest set of gold teddy bear cufflinks . It was not DX's style but it was too cute!
Thinking that it would look really good on DX, she bought it at a whim . After all, he would wear anything she bought him, even if he looks ridiculous in it . Last year, she bought him a Spongebob Squarepants boxer as a joke and he took it seriously . When he wore it to one of their rendezvous, she could not stop laughing for a good 20 minutes .
When she walked past a high end store, she saw a midnight black silk tie with mini teddy bears sewed in gold threads behind one of the display . She got so excited that she immediately went in . Her plan was to make the presents into a set . At her age, she was earning quite a decent amount and thus, she had never thought much about it when it comes to spending .
"I hope he likes it . " She thought as she went to the counter to pay for it . There was no one at the counter who can help her .
When she looked around, she noticed that all the salesgirl were surrounding a gorgeous woman who had the most exquisite look Kai Xin had ever seen . At 170 cm, Kai Xin considered herself to be quite tall but the woman there must be above 175 cm .
With an unblemished face, and hair that was neatly tied up in a braided updo, she was the epitome of elegance . Kai Xin noted that she was wearing the latest limited edition dress from Chanel . She only knew about it because she had one at home that DX bought for her .
"Damn, is she a supermodel?" Kai Xin thought as she watched the elegant woman who appeared flustered by the attention that was upon her . However, she had no time for this silliness, so she called out dryly, "Excuse me, is there anyone working here today?"
