He sat up so quickly that he nearly threw Kai Xin off his laps.

As Kai Xin dared him to lie, DX started rambling as he lose his usual image of a cool and composed President Du,

"That was nothing! Really! I was an idiot! Don't believe her!"

With her arms crossed, she turned away from him, "I wasn't angry that you guys kissed before...You said nothing happened between the two of you before."

DX started to sweat as he explained, "I'm sorry. I really thought of it as a small matter so I didn't say anything about it."

15 years old Young DX had just started to entertain the idea of having a girlfriend and when he got one, she kept trying to kiss him.

Afraid that he would do badly and caused the entire Du Family to lose face, he kept pushing the girl away whenever she puckered her lips.

In addition, he did not want to give his first kiss to her.

Somehow, he felt that it was important to give it to someone that meant more to him.

After all, he barely knew his first girlfriend. She asked if he would like to be her boyfriend and he merely shrugged.

Somehow, they ended up in a relationship.

Young DX went to Young Layla's house to talk to her about this matter but her nanny informed him that she fell asleep on the couch while watching the TV.

"Young Master XiAn, I have to make snacks for my young lady. Do you mind to go look for her yourself? She would be awake soon."

Since he was here often enough to know the layout of the house, he nodded.

When he found her, she was sleeping soundly on the couch. Her shirt was lifted slightly and he chuckled when he saw her exposed tummy.

After he pulled down her shirt to cover up her tummy, he had a good look at her.

He had never thought of her as a woman but when he watched her sleeping form, he thought, "She's quite pretty when she's not speaking..."

Looking at her face, he wondered what it was like to kiss her.

So, like an untrained youth, he leaned down and kissed her lightly on the lips.

However, at the same time, Young Layla woke up and when she realized what he was doing, she immediately punched him in the eye.

"ARGH!" yelled Young DX as he fell on the carpeted floor.

Layla yelled, "You pervert!"

"That hurts!" cried Young DX as he touched his bruised eye lightly.

When he looked at her face and recalled the kiss, he blushed.

Wiping her mouth, Young Layla spat, "What the hell were you doing?"

When he saw her lips, Young DX's face turned red and he immediately turned away, "I was just curious."

"That's sexual assault! Guards, throw him out!"

That was the first time Young DX kissed a girl... and also the first time where his identity did not protect him from being manhandled.

DX sighed once he was done telling her the story.

Looking at her, he said wryly, "She refused to talk to me for almost one month after that."

Slapping him once on the shoulder, she scolded him, "That was kind of mean of you. You probably took her first kiss."

When he heard her accusation, he growled,

"Given her reaction, that was what I thought at first. For one month, I sent her everything that she likes as well as handwritten notes to apologize for what I have done...I even offered my precious body to her, but..."

He cursed, "...That woman was so devious! She waited until I stupidly said that she can take as much advantage of me as she wants before she started to talk to me again...I ended up having to move into her house and be her slave for an entire month..."

Unable to hold himself back, he barked out a laugh, "I eventually found out that it was not even her first kiss and she doesn't really care about it. She just wanted me to see me suffer."

The moment he stopped talking, Kai Xin laughed, "Classic Layla. Her punishment is always...interesting."

DX scoffed,

"I was more determined than ever to get my revenge back after that. For the next few months, I trained ten times harder. When I won my first ever match against her, I made her apologized publicly for all the mean stuff she did to me. You should have seen her face then! I even made a huge banner and had someone displayed it in front of her house."

When he saw Kai Xin shooking her head at him, he thought that she was angry and he took her hands before saying,

"Are you mad? She hurt me for 10 years. That was the only time I retaliated."

"I'm not mad..."

"You are lying."

Kai Xin gave him a kiss on the forehead to reassure him, "Do you believe me now?"

DX grinned for a second before forcing himself not to grin. He shook his head and pouted, "Maybe if you kiss me more..."

Kai Xin chuckled and kissed the end of his nose, "Better?"

DX shook his head and sighed, "My heart is hurting. You were mean to me earlier..."

Kai Xin laughed at his attempt to be cute.

She kissed both his cheeks and with her hands cupping his cheeks, she asked, "How about now, my dear President Du? Have you forgotten that you are a father of two 10 year old boys?"

With them being only inches apart, they were able to feel each other's desire for more.

Their breath quickened as they both thought about the things that they wanted to do to each other.

However, they knew that it would be improper to do anything.

As much as they want to, both of them respected Layla. Well, not so much for DX as it was for Kai Xin.

But still... When DX replied in a deep and husky tone, "Almost, just..."

Kai Xin immediately silenced him with her mouth.

Tears threatened to fall from the corner of her eyes as he pulled her closer to him.

She missed him.

Even though she saw him in the office, their interactions had been limited.

He had been busy with the acquisition of an international airline that he had been eyeing for a long time.

Whenever she passed by his office, he would either be on a phone call or he would be out for meetings.

The night before, she had stood outside his office and watched as he took a nap on his desk.

There were so many things that she wanted to tell him.

She wanted to talk to him about how she felt, about what had happened, about how scared she was when she saw Ye Tian.

She wanted to see if he would be proud of her if she told him about how she composed herself in front of the bastard.

However, the moment she saw him slumped over the documents on the desk, she was unable to do it.

She knew that no matter how high he climbed, his ability to lead was constantly being judged by those who wanted to see him fall.

Even though she believed in him, she decided not to say anything. He had enough on his plates.

After deciding that her matter can wait, she went back to her own seat and continued working on her own files.

Even if she cannot help him with his work, at least she can be there with him.

After about a while, she pulled away and asked with a grin, "Better now?"

DX wiped off the tears that pooled at the corner of her eyes.

With a smile, he stole a quick peck before saying, "Better now."
