"I'll see how he fares for the next 72 hours, that will be the determining factor as to whether or not Mr Liu is ready to be discharge or needed a longer stay for further monitoring of his condition."

"In the event he declines, there is no need to keep the patient under the hospital's account, billing of the insurance may not continue if the insurance company sees the patient is a lost cause and the hospital loses money by keeping him here."

The Anesthesiologist had to raise the worse case scenario for the team, the concern was not really about the patient, but how their salary will not be affected by deficits coming to the hospital from a patient overstaying based on the deduction of the patient's insurance. A never ending vicious circle that goes on in the world of healthcare.

"I'll ask the nurse to bring the family for discussion regarding a possible early discharge if it comes to that, I know that none of you wants to work for free, with bills piling up at home! At the same time the patient comes first."

The rest of the team that was not involved in the conversation kept looking at the three back and forth their eyes following the talk that was going on in the operating room, shortly after the conclusion of the surgery.

A very exhausting ten hour, where they almost lost the patient, the Anesthesiologist had to keep a cool head when the alarms kept going off as the patient's heart rate was dropping at an alarming rate.

First assist hands shook during the procedure, being the first time to attend to a live surgery and not a mock one that was usually simulated in the labs at medical school. The task assigned was to close the patient up at the end of the surgery.

Scrub nurse was also applauded by the team for persevering through the loud call from the surgeon and the mad dash to pick the right instruments required for the surgery without any clumsiness which is a key factor to being an excellent scrub nurse. Sweat streaming down under the harsh surgical overhead lamps and the distractingly loud sound from the machines in the room was what the team had to go through for the whole ten hour surgery despite the jokes and music, their body was becoming weary from the strain of being on their feet at mostly the same spot.

Lu Yi was to be sent to the post anaesthetic care unit, for closer monitoring to know if he was stable enough to be in the regular wards. The nurses that will be caring for him during that time were already getting his bed and area ready for when the surgical team bring him into the recovery unit.

On the night before the funeral ceremony, Yang Lin had the whole furniture in the living room taken down, to one of the unused spacious rooms upstairs, temporarily serving as the storage unit, until the "deceased" lying in state was over.

The furnitures in the building had to be covered in white linens, to show that a person at Zhang villa had just "passed away" and a white linen draped over the main doorway, as a reminder that a "dead body" was in the immediate vicinity and they should act soberly.

Yang Lin placed another set of calls to have arm bands delivered to Zhang villa, such that delivery trucks kept coming and going for the remainder of the night. He couldn't sleep, knowing that Zhang Mi was alone in the living room. Tired from the things he had to do, Yang Lin could not tolerate the bossy attitude of the Funeral Director any much longer who was helping him unload the items that was delivered after signing for them.

That seemed to silence the man, as they two worked to get the place ready for the ceremony of the next day.

Director Ko went to bed at around ten, after helping Yang Lin during the deliveries and overseeing where the boxes that came in were to be placed after their contents was taking out and arranged nicely in a "thank you" gift bag of glossy white paper, with a braided soft wool of white.

The took the fresh batch of white lilies from the cardboard boxes of brown, arranging them around the casket of the heiress forming rows of of flowers around it a total of twenty eight to mark the last age of her human existence. By the time they were done there was a square arrangement of lilies of twenty eight rows. It was like walking into the garden of lily flowers, a breathtaking sight that the bright chandelier hanging from the white ceiling brought out so beautifully.
