Base Four

At about the same time as this was happening, Vince was at Base 4 to complete his mission but what exactly was that mission? Vince had come to the place he once trained to sew discord between the soldiers and their superiors AKA the great families. He knocked a random soldier out, left him in a dark alley, and came out about a minute later looking exactly like the soldier. He walked around the base for some time reminiscing about his days here, he could almost see him and his friends walking together and laughing merrily over silly jokes as young men normally did. He shook his head to clear his mind and began to set his plan into motion, he started leaving sheets of paper as he walked around and bet on humans’ curiosity to get the better of them and it did.
Soon people started to notice but he'd disappear before they could call him and once their curiosity got the best of them and they read the papers filled with the hidden secrets of the great families, every bad thing they did and swept under the rug was now being revealed to their soldiers.
Soon almost everyone in the base knew at least one hidden secret and as most of these things involved ordinary people being taken advantage of most of the ordinary people in the base were young, hot-blooded and had a strong sense of justice and they could no longer take it and started a demonstration which started peacefully but after more people joined and Vince who was in their midst was saying things to add fuel to the flame, it quickly became violent and the heads of the army who came to stop them used violence too, solidifying the soldiers' suspicion that the great families were bullies.
It was shocking how little faith they had in them that just a little paper could cause it to crumble but they couldn't be blamed for the papers answering some of the most pressing questions of the past two decades. Some top geniuses were killed by jealousy, a city destroyed due to ignorance was covered up, framing others, inhumane experiments and missing people all were revealed by pieces of paper, Vince couldn't help but laugh loudly seeing the chaos he'd caused to occur.
He laughed for a full minute before finally calming down and whispered, " I'm getting revenge for us, my dear". “Don’t worry I’ll take care of these selfish people, they’ll be gone soon”. “Big words there don’t you think young man?”, a voice said from behind him. These words scared Vince immensely due to two things, one, anyone who could sneak up on him without being detected was much stronger than him and two, he knew exactly who the words belonged to.
With his eyes still on the happenings in Base 4, Vince said, “Lord Khrone, it has been a long time. Almost twenty years or even more maybe? Prison didn’t help with counting years I’m afraid”. Khrone walked closer and said, “If you are doing this for her then your view of her is far from the truth, she would never want such violence for any reason at all”. “Lord Khrone, even you … YOU ALL DON’T UNDERSTAND THE PAIN I AM GOING THROUGH, THE PAIN OF LOSING THE ONE YOU LOVED TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU BY YOUR LEADERS FOR THEIR SELFISH REASONS YOU HAVE NO IDEA AT ALL”. Khrone waited for Vince to rant and pour out his emotions then … slapped him, it was shocking that Khrone would do such a thing.
“How dare you, Vince?”, “How dare you?”, Khrone said angrily, “I raised Ash like my own daughter, watched her grow up, trained her and even watched her die before my very eyes, how could I not understand yet unlike you, I also understand restraint, if I had gone berserk and tried to take revenge instantly, the changes I’ve made so far would be impossible. I understand your pain but you are being stupid and even worse you’re sullying her legacy of peace and tranquillity with your barbaric actions,
This could probably be the longest thing Khrone had said in years and it struck a chord in Vince. “Lord Khrone, I admire the work you’ve been doing to make this battleground called life easier but the pace of the changes is my problem”. “Every single year that goes by multiple cases just like Ash’s, how do you think there are always people ready to join my cause? Because there are people who are oppressed, people with stories worse than ours and they want justice not in a decade or two but as quickly as possible, I respect you and your work but I hope you do not get in our way or else I won’t be able to guarantee what happens in the future”. After saying this, Vince got on his motorcycle-like vehicle and left after taking one last look at his dead beloved’s adopted father.
“Vince of all people would know how strong I am, for him to warn me probably means there’s someone strong behind him but who could it be?” Khrone flew off in the opposite direction of where Vince went, thinking about the person whom Vince was counting on to be able to defeat him. He kept flying and after some time, he got into the academy and went to a secluded house where another Khrone was sitting on a rock like he was waiting for someone.
The flying Khrone landed in front of the sitting one and knelt, the one sitting touched his forehead and he disappeared. The seated Khrone closed his eyes for some time and smiled lightly saying to himself, “What an eventful day this clone has had”. A beep came from his watch and after checking the message, he teleported to a place with a balcony where the principal, teachers and other higher-ups of the academy had gathered and on the ground below them, all the first years had noisily gathered.
“Why can’t these people just tell us all the news at once instead of calling us so many times?”
“I dare you to say that in front of a teacher.”
“I was just about to get a booyah in Gratis Fire.”
“How can you be focused on a game at this time, I was training with my natural energy and was even creating my skill.”
“Lies, I saw you following your crush around creepily". So many conversations were going on at once, it was a wonder how they heard each other despite all that noise.”
“SILENCE YOU CRICKETS”, an unfamiliar person stood on the balcony beside the principal and he looked extremely annoyed. “You’ve finally shut up, first of all, I’m your vice principal and I’m here to deliver this news to you so be quiet and listen or else.”
