They shifted their gaze to where Long Jun was looking at. 

"Sacred dragons! The seal is not fixed yet! Why is this happening?" One of the dragon shifters asked. "We need to let them know!" 

'State the obvious,' Lu Meili thought. She did not want to bother knowing who said that, but with their reaction, she was able to confirm that if it were not pointed at, they would not have done anything. 

"Unit 3, 7, and 9! Emergency! A very high number of beasts are on the way to the Blue Area entrance!" Long Jun screamed into his communicator. The units that he mentioned were soldiers that went inside the Thunder Forest.  

He had been trying to contact anyone since the time he gave Long Cheng the responsibility to deal with Lu Meili. However, until now, he was not getting any response. Long Jun had also tried to contact them over a call, but he was only getting a busy signal. 

Long Jun suspiciously glanced at Lu Meili. Even if he did not want to, he was starting to feel suspicious of her. 

In all honesty, her character and actions were still very bewildering. They did not know where she came from, so trusting her was not easy. 

Add to the fact that she was also being accused of Rusan's death, with another shifter as the chief witness. 

Long Jun was starting to have a headache from all the things that he needed to consider. As a commander, he needed to think about all things logically and with calmness. 

"I cannot get any response from anyone. The communicator is not working." He looked at Lu Meili seriously and Long Cheng did not like that one bit. 

Long Cheng growled warningly, "Long Jun, are you implying something?" he asked carefully.  

"I don't trust her," Long Jun replied as a matter of fact. "She was speaking to someone earlier with a communicator. Since she could do that, it was suspicious that I couldn't." 

"Is that true?" Long Cheng asked Lu Meili with concern. 

Lu Meili smiled knowingly but did not answer. 

"Meili, please…" It was essential to clear her name. Long Cheng could not be at peace when his mate was being charged with a crime while she was not cooperative in making her name. She seemed not to care at all. 

Lu Meili tilted her head, "So what if I was talking to someone earlier? Are you saying that it was my fault that your communicator is junk and not working on this type of environment?" She asked Long Jun bluntly. 

"This…" Long Jun's brow wrinkled as not sure how to respond to that. 

Lu Meili continued mockingly, "This what? Isn't it common sense that during thunder and rainstorms, the signal could be interrupted?" 

"You do not have the right to speak like that to our Commander! I could bet my life that these accidents were entirely your  fault!" Lou Hana butted in, pointing out mistakes without proof. 

"Really? Be careful of what you want to put at stake. Instead of just asking me for help, you all decide to waste your time?" Lu Meili asked with arrogance. She shifted her gaze towards the beasts that were still moving forward. 

The trail is muddy and the lightning falling from the sky,  was slowing the beasts down. 

"Help? Of course, you can! This all started with you!"A male shifter could not help but point that out. 

With a raised brow, Lu Meili stepped closer to Long Cheng and raised her hands to him. "Carry me. Let us get out of here." She said sweetly with a bright smile on her face. 

Long Cheng carried her unhappily but did not leave. 

"What are you waiting for? Let us go. Run as fast as you can," she insisted in a hurry. 

"Prince Cheng! Are you going to betray us for this woman? You cannot do this!" Lou Mary shrieked in horror. She could never accept the possibility that a woman like a puppy could control Long Cheng, especially when what the woman wanted was wrong.

Long Cheng did not answer. He  released a heavy breath, "Where do you want to go?" He asked her softly. Though he was not sure what she wanted to do, as her mate, he could only do what she wanted.

Long Cheng nodded with a sad smile, "Of course. Whatever you want and wherever you want to go." He said with assurance. 

"I want to go there!" she added suddenly as she pointed at where they were going…
