"I can get them for you! Don't get closer to them!" There may be a hierarchy of the beast kingdom. Even with authority though, any being or creature was bound to get upset if disturbed during a mealtime. Especially a pack of wolves, almost a hundred, who all survived the deadly life in the thunder forest on a daily basis. 

Lu Meili did not listen and continued running. 

Finally, he sprinted seriously. Despite knowing that Lu Meili could take care of herself, he still could not help but worry. 

They were so close to the wolfpack now, and most of the beasts got distracted with their presence. Angry pairs of wolf eyes were gazing at them, ready to sprint and attack at any time for being disturbed.

"Shit!" Long Cheng ran faster, and he was so close, Lu Meili. He was hoping to grab her before she could get nearer to the wolf pack. 

'Why is she so fast?!' He whined. It was so easy to be happy and proud of his mate's capabilities. Not now.

"Damn it!" He cursed in frustration. Not only because of Lu Meili being difficult but also because the wolves were already moving towards them, forgetting their meal. 

Long Cheng did not stop running after her. Finally, he got just an arm's reach away from her. 

However, before he could grab Lu Meili, she suddenly jumped sideways. She then stepped on a tiny branch and used it as a leverage to jump higher. 

When she was high enough, Lu Meili stopped on a sturdy branch and started throwing stones. 

"I can take care of them! Just stay there!" He said as he thought that Lu Meili was helping him distract the wolves. However, the wolves kept on coming. Thought, they were not enough to hurt or kill him. But they were wasting his time. 

Wasting… Delaying…
