The wounds bleeding had already stopped because of the magic she had cast earlier, but it didn't mean they would be completely healed in a short time. Lu Meili was not aware that Long Cheng was trying to completely close the wounds. 

It was painful at first but slowly, the ache vanished and slowly warmth spread on her body, lulling her to sleep. 

"Don't worry. This will remove the pain…" He whispered against her skin. Long Cheng gave Lu Meili a quick glance and saw that her eyes were hooded, which also meant, she won't be in pain anymore while he injected healing properties on her open wounds. 

His body contained a unique constitution compared to the other dragon shifters. Though their saliva could heal, he was probably the only one who could manipulate it to become something else, for example, anesthesia. 

Long Cheng never wanted to remember how he got the skill. He never tried to use it. However, he was not able to stand it when his mate was hurting because of him. After all, it was partially his fault that his mate was in such a state. 

He released a deep breath before proceeding further. It did not take long for the wounds on her thigh to completely dry up like magic. 

Inspecting the burn wound, Long Cheng nodded in approval. He then scanned her for other injuries. When he noticed that the scent of blood, coming from Lu Meili was still strong. 

Long Cheng frowned in confusion, searching for other wounds, "Damn it!" He suddenly exclaimed, seething in anger when he saw another burnt wound on her back that was way larger than the one on her thigh.
