Baby Contract: Forced Deal with a Dragon 31 Chasing Criminal

Of course, Lou Mary's place was effortless to guess, and Lu Meili did not need to think more to it. 

With a smirk, Lu Meili tauntingly spoke, "So you are saying that I should have just let you stab me instead? Oh, wait! He was stabbed by someone who had claws. I don't have any claws. Do you think that the others would just believe you? By the way, did you squeeze his heart too? Or its-"

"Shut up! It was on you! All on you! They will believe me instead of an outsider like you!" Lou Mary exclaimed almost hysterical. 

Lou Mary continued to chase after Lu Meili, who kept on jumping from branch to branch. Aside from her partial shift, she occasionally threw some potions in the air to slow down Lu Meili's movement, but it did not seem to show any effect. 

That was because she had no idea that despite them being dragon shifters, the forest was Lu Meili's domain and as long as she could use magic, nothing could harm her. 

'Damn it! Why does she move like a monkey?! I need to kill her before another group sees her and can catch her!' All Lou Mary could do was continuously try to attack Lu Meili, but she did not realize that they were getting near another group. 

"You are wasting your time running away! A criminal like you should just give up and die!" Lou Mary exclaimed with contempt. 

"Heh. Criminal? Is that what Long Cheng declared to his countrymen?" Lu Meili asked with a raised brow, ignoring that uncomfortable feeling that made her sad suddenly. Then she shrugged her shoulders after realizing that the answer did not matter. They were mates only because of the bond after all. 

"Master, the state news declared that you are a criminal as well," Lulu reported as well, making Lu Meili frown. 

'Mo Rin did mention something like this earlier. At least I am now inside the forest.' she thought to herself. 

"Two shifters approaching at 3 o'clock. Ruby pendant, negative." Lulu's robotic voice spoke again. 

Lu Meili hummed and avoided the direction of the new arrivals. Still, Lou Mary was hot on her heels, not stopping to continue attacking her. She was also not very subtle about it, and because of that, the dragon shifters she had avoided earlier were still able to join Lou Mary. 

"Quickly! We need to kill her! She killed Rusan!" Lou Mary yelled in desperation. If she could not defeat Lu Meili alone, she could always ask for help. 

Lu Meili laughed after hearing Lou Mary's false claim. Too bad, if the other shifters believed, such blatant lie or before checking for proof then she does not care. 

"What did you say?!" One of them responded. "Rusan is mated! She would have felt his death by now! We need to avenge him!" 

With that, the two other dragon shifters had chased after her as well aiming for her death. Both of the shifters were big men, and their face was scared with battle. 

"Tsk. What a bother."Lu Meili murmured to herself. It was easier to run away from them earlier since there was no killing intent. She also noticed that this time, those that were following her were way stronger. The shifters were also clearly after her life just because of one death. 

They were being fooled as the one who killed their comrade was also one of their own. However, they could not distinguish right from wrong and chose to keep a comrade who would bite them from behind, it was up to them. 

Lu Meili did not have time to waste. Her ruby pendant was not with anyone of them, so there was no need to stay further. 

Blaze! 

One of the shifters blew fire towards her that burned her skin. The flame touched her arm and burned immediately. 

Lu Meili used magic to remove it, but due to it being flame from a dragon-shifter, it still caused her wound. 

 "Heh! My flame reached her! We can continue on this!" The shifter with a scar on his upper brow said. 

"Alright, let us do it, and I want her flesh after I fuck her. That would be the best punishment for her." Exclaimed one of them said in restless hunger and greed by the other shifter.

The moment he said it, he was hit with a thunderous punch, and the other warned "Don't you dare say that again! Are you going to taint yourself with a female outsider's body? We need to kill her fast to appease Rusan's spirit!"
