Api di Bukit Menoreh Book 01 - Chapter 36 

Agung Sedayu's lips seemed to move but not a word jumped from his mounth, and finally his eyes became teary.

Ki Tanu still can't understand, why Agung Sedayu suddenly became scared. But before he can asked again there was a voice of Sedayu begging pitifuly "Kakang, I'm afraid."

Ki Tanu Metir nodded his head. He understands now, who exactly is Untara and what about Sedayu. Therefore he remained silent.

Suddenly the old man was shocked when Untara said loudly while touching the handle of his kris with his weak hand, "Sedayu, go! If you don't want to go too, let you choose to die because you act like a man or die because of my own kris. "

"Kakang!" Sedayu almost screamed. But Untara's face seemed to have frozen

As if his brother's voice was not heard. Even Untara closed  his eyes, "For me Sedayu, rather than you dying of fright when Alap-Alap Jalatunda strangle me later, you better die with a kris wound in your heart."

Sedayu's body was shivering. His heart clattered like thunder blaring inside his chest heavly. Meanwhile Ki Tanu Metir stammered, "Angger Untara, what would Angger do?"

"If Sedayu doesn't want to go, I'll kill him" he hissed.

"Angger," Ki Tanu Metir tried to calm him down "don't say that."

Untara did not answer, infuriated.

Finally, Ki Tanu Metir said, "Angger Sedayu, your brother has determined what will be done. Because of that, Angger should leave. Wasn't Angger's fear of death. And death is certainly in this hut. If Angger goes to Sangkal Putung, Angger is not certain to meet with demise. If so, then the death on the journey would be far better than ,the death that would pounce  in here. Whether it's done by Angger Untara, or done by that crazy Alap-Alap, that will surely be far more terrifying. "

Sedayu's head suddenly becomes dizzy. Death is too terrible. And death was suddenly present before him. So that like a whiny woman Sedayu let herself be swept away in his feelings without shame. Sedayu covered his face with both hands. And he said with trembling voice, "did kakang saying the truth?"

"I'll do everything I say, Sedayu" Untara's voice was soft but sure. "Leave this place immediately. I'm sick of seeing you whine like a baby. "

Agung Sedayu's heart almost exploded heard that words. But his mouth even became locked. Like a statue he didn't move, until his brother yelled at him, "Go away, now!"
