Once Lee Do Joon was satisfied, he finally left the two, getting back to work.

Yeo Ri's body was shaking terribly but she forced herself to get up.

"Oppa..." she sobbed, "Oppa, wake up...!"

Hyuk had fainted some time in the middle of her act of humiliation and Yeo Ri was too scared to move him. There might be some sort of injury that she couldn't see, and she was afraid that she might aggravate his wounds carelessly.

"Oppa..." Yeo Ri's fingers trembled as she reached to touch the man. He was breathing but it was clear that his condition wasn't good. "Oppa... Oppa... wake up... open your eyes...!"

"Oppa! Oppa!"

No matter how many times she called him, he wouldn't wake up.

Yeo Ri rummaged his pockets for his phone. Luckily, she found it quickly on his jacket. It was also fortunate that it hadn't been broken from the fight.

"Oppa... Hyuk-oppa..." Yeo Ri's fingers were trembling, so she made a few mistakes when trying to unlock the phone, but after a few tries, she was finally able to open it. She quickly searched his contacts for a familiar name. Finding it, she unhesitatingly called him.

The phone rang only once this time.

"Jin Goo-oppa...!" Yeo Ri's tear-choked voice called out.

"Y-Yeo Ri-ah? What's wrong?! Did something happen?! Why are you crying?!"

"Jin Goo-oppa, what should I do?" Yeo Ri sniffled, her voice cracking. "Oppa is... Oppa is..."

"Yeo Ri-ah, where are you? I'm coming right away!"

"H-home... Hurry, Oppa. I-I don't know what to do...! Oppa isn't moving...! He isn't waking up...!" Yeo Ri cried, "help me, Oppa...!"

"I'm coming!" Jin Goo reached for his car keys. "Yeo Ri-ah, I'm coming. Stay calm and wipe your tears, okay?"

"...Mm!"

Jin Goo hung up and immediately ran out of his house. Disregarding the traffic laws, he drove as quickly as he could to the Lee's. As he was driving, one of his hands were busy typing away at his phone. He called In Guk and hastily informed him of the situation, then told him to come as soon as possible.

Arriving at the house, he could see that the door was closed.

"Yeo Ri-ah?" He called Hyuk's phone, notifying Yeo Ri of his arrival.

Yeo Ri hung up, and in a matter of seconds, the front door opened.

Yeo Ri looked haggard, with a dress haphazardly thrown on. A few bruises marred her skin, and there was a particularly nasty one on the corner of her mouth. A purplish spot could be seen forming on her cheek. Clearly, she hadn't had a good day.

"Yeo Ri-ah!" Jin Goo gaped in alarm. He knew that Hyuk's father was nicer towards his daughter, which was why Hyuk was fine with letting her live in that house for a little while longer, but this sight changed everything. "What happened to you?!"

Yeo Ri avoided the question, instead ushering the man to hurriedly follow her to Hyuk's side.

Whatever words that Jin Goo wanted to say to Yeo Ri was stuck in his throat the moment he laid his eyes on Hyuk's sorry state.

Shock filled his mind for a brief moment but he soon snapped out of his stupor and quickly went to work. He checked Hyuk's pulse. Though it was slow, at least it was there.

Seeing his friend's condition, he couldn't help but mutter, "you should've called for an ambulance instead." Yeo Ri heard his words and flinched. She lowered her head guiltily. "I'm sorry. I didn't think about that..."

"Ah, no, I mean, calling me was a good choice too," he quickly added, softening his remark.

Just as he was contemplating on how to carry the man with just him and Yeo Ri, In Guk burst into the house, shouting loudly. "Hey, guys! Where are you! The door was open so I let myself in! I came as soon as possible! Where's Hy—"

In Guk stopped in his tracks just as he chanced upon the group inside Lee Do Joon's room.

"What the h—" In Guk's eyes were wide as he took in Yeo Ri's image. His heart squeezed painfully at the sight. Who was so cruel to have hurt Yeo Ri, this precious angel?

"Yeo Ri-ah, are you ok...ay?!" Then, he noticed Hyuk who was lying on the ground.

"Hyuk?! Lee Hyuk?!" Hey, what's wrong with him?!" In Guk panicked as he knelt beside his friend.

"Hurry. We're gonna have to move him as little as possible," he instructed In Guk.

"Okay." In Guk dropped everything and assumed a serious attitude that was far from his usual playfulness.

Jin Goo and In Guk carefully carried Hyuk into the backseat of Jin Goo's car, with Yeo Ri cushioning his head with her lap.

"Just hold on, Oppa...!" Yeo Ri whispered, wiping away a fresh batch of tears.
