That f*cking sh*tty b*stard, how dare he fire him only after he worked his *ss off all morning? Hyuk had a belly full of insults towards his pudgy, thin-eyed, sleazy ex-boss.

Thanks to that b*stard, he went to work for nothing. The peanuts he was paid for severance was not even remotely enough for all his hard work. If he knew things were going to end up like this, he would've just stayed at home and nursed Yeo Ri. At least that would have been time well-spent in his books.

Hyuk increased his speed, letting the engines roar as he headed home. He was practically making noise pollution, but he didn't care. Yeo Ri was waiting at home and who knew what that stupid girl might be trying to do when she's still so sick. So much for being independent, he mused. That girl probably wouldn't ask for help until somebody gets hurt.

Hyuk didn't have a habit of announcing that he was home, so he quietly made his way to the kitchen.

"Huh?"

Hyuk picked up a discarded mug on the table. There was milk in it which had soiled the table. Hyuk shook his head. It was probably Yeo Ri. She must've been pretty out of it considering that she hadn't cleaned it up. Yeo Ri was quite particular when it came to cleanliness, so leaving the mug on the table like that was out-of-character for her. Hyuk set down the plastic bag he was carrying before placing the mug into the sink and wiping the table with tissues. Then, he finally unwrapped the thing he brought home.

He had bought a portion of Korean bean sprouts soup with rice from a local soup restaurant for Yeo Ri. He had an inkling that the girl probably hadn't had lunch yet, so he bought it in passing.

He plated it in a bowl and threw away the container. Then, with the soup in hand, he went to check up on Yeo Ri in their room. She was probably still asleep, considering that he hadn't seen her out and about.

"Yeo Ri-ah?" Hyuk quietly creeped inside the room, keeping his voice low and movements silent so as to not wake up the girl.

However, he was quick to figure out that the girl wasn't in the room.

"...Yeo Ri-ah?" Hyuk looked around, wondering if she went out. Where could she have gone?

He placed down the bowl on top of her desk.

He wondered if she was in the bathroom. He had passed by the bathroom earlier but hadn't heard a single sound.

"...Strange," he muttered.

Hyuk exited the room.

He stood in the living room, glancing around as if expecting her to suddenly pop out from somewhere.

"Yeo Ri?"

Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump. Thump—

"...?"

Hyuk paused. He could hear a thumping sound coming from somewhere.

He scanned his surroundings more thoroughly. Then, his heart skipped a beat.

"What the hell?"

He could see his father's door that was slightly ajar.

Hyuk frowned. That man never left his door open; not even for Yeo Ri.

Hyuk inched closer to the door, making sure not to make too much noise.

Then, he saw it.

That man pinned Yeo Ri to the ground, committing an act he never thought would happen. Yeo Ri was sobbing quietly, barricading her bare chest and face from the man. Her clothes were thrown aside, seemingly ripped away from her and appearing somewhat damp. One of that man's hand was holding onto her hip, and the other was on her inner thigh.

His eyes constricted, and his heart dropped. He felt his body grow cold. Without realising what was happening, he threw the door open, his body moving reflexively.

"You f*ckeeeeeer!" Hyuk yelled as he kicked the repulsive man away. Without pausing, he reached for the folded-up table that was just lying around near him, bashing the man with all the strength he could muster. The table almost broke from the force, but perhaps because he had been toiling since morning, Hyuk's strength wasn't up to par. The man barely got hurt from the hit.

"This little sh*—!" Lee Do Joon cursed as he was thrown to the ground. His whole left side was aching from the Hyuk's attack, making him very annoyed.

He pushed the table away and immediately got up to punch the boy. "F*cking sh*t!"

"You f*cking trash, how could you?!" Hyuk's eyes were red, and red was all he could see. His whole body itched to tear the man apart.

"What the f*ck have you done?!" He shouted.

"To your own daughter! To Yeo Ri!" Hyuk dodged and kicked the man again, aiming for his dangling genital. "To my little sister!"

However, he narrowly missed and instead kicked him on the leg.

The man took advantage of his slightly unstable balance during the kick and attacked the boy. Hyuk couldn't dodge in time and received a hit square on his stomach. Seizing the chance, the man landed a few consecutive blows on the boy. He was interrupted right in the middle of his pleasure and his mood had fallen from Cloud Nine and straight down to Hell.

He was beyond pissed. First, that sl*t went and pissed herself, making a mess all over the floor, and now this little sh*t was seeking death.

Hyuk was the perfect punching bag for him to vent on. He didn't hold anything back as he beat up the boy.

Clearly, Hyuk hadn't completely healed from the previous beating yet. He was already not in his best condition, and adding to the strain of the current fight, he was immediately pushed into a defensive position.

Yeo Ri who had been forgotten as they fought had already scrambled to the corner. Seeing Hyuk come in through the door had been like seeing a beacon of hope. However, the hope was slowly being dashed as Hyuk repeatedly faltered from the man's beatings.

Braving herself, Yeo Ri immediately crawled over to Hyuk's fallen figure. Blood was trickling out of his mouth and his eyes were rapidly darting around as if he could barely stay conscious.

"Oppa!" Yeo Ri ignored the pain from her lower body. She covered his body with hers, protecting him from the man's brutal hits. A few of those hits landed on her, and she bit back a scream.

The man abruptly stopped at her intervention. Curling his lips in disdain, he shouted, "Move!"

Yeo Ri shook her head vehemently. "D-dad, please... please let Oppa go! Please! Please!" Yeo Ri clung to his leg, rubbing her hands together in plea.

"You impertinent b*tch!" Lee Do Joon felt incensed at her actions and instantly slapped her. The girl fell to the ground.

"D...on't you d...are—!" Hyuk tried to push himself up, but his body wouldn't listen to him. He reached his hand out to Yeo Ri, barely gripping her arm.

Lee Do Joon sneered. "You're just in time. Maybe I should show you your little sister's true face. This little sl*t," Lee Do Joon grabbed Yeo Ri by her hair, making her scream. "Enjoyed getting f*cked by me so much that she pissed herself."

"No... no!" Yeo Ri struggled to get away, but every move she made only caused pain.

"Watch closely," Lee Do Joon grinned, cruel amusement in his eyes. He dropped Yeo Ri on the floor and spread her legs apart.

"No! No! No! Don't, please!" Yeo Ri cried and begged. Hyuk was right there and she didn't want him to witness her humiliation. "Stop! Please!"

"Open your eyes wide, boy." Lee Do Joon laughed. He savagely buried himself into Yeo Ri.

"Noooo! Noooo!" Yeo Ri screamed. She desperately tried to crawl away, her nails scratching the floor until her fingers bled.

"Y...eo Ri..." Hyuk watched the scene with hazy eyes. He fuelled his consciousness with hatred and revenge. "Yeo... Ri..."

He was forced to watch his most beloved Yeo Ri getting violated, yet there was nothing he could do. His fingers twitched as he tried to grab her, but she was out of his reach. His body couldn't move and all he could do was watch.

'Stop!' He shouted in his mind, 'Don't touch her! Don't you f*cking touch her!' Hyuk coughed blood. The blood clogged his throat and his scream came out muffled.

His eyes were bloodshot and hot tears fell out from his eyes. He wanted to look away but something kept him rooted. He etched every second of this torture in his mind.

For every second Yeo Ri was suffering, he swore to make that b*stard pay back tenfold.
