Feng Hao immediately agreed with Xiao Ning'er, despite being in the Black Gold Rank, he had yet to stabilize his cultivation, so his stamina was more or less the same as her, Shen Tian sighed as he nodded,"Fine, we can rest for a while."
The two others grinned, as they took some water to drink,"So refreshing…" Xiao Ning'er moaned as pleasure entered her body, they had not drank water in several hours, so it was indeed a good feeling.
Shen Tian wiped the sides of his lips, and took a deep breath,"We are nearing the Dark Ruins, the Scout Division has yet to try to send expedition teams here, so we are one of the first teams to come here from Glory City."
Xiao Ning'er was startled, it was known that the Dark Ruins possibly had a Legend Rank Demon Beast lurking around, and it was the overlord of the ruins, the Dark Ruins were what was left of a city.
Shen Tian, looked around, before smiling, after a few months of intense studying of the Holy Orchid Institute Library, and the various libraries, he had found out that hundreds of years ago, there existed a city here.
"The Dark Ruins have a secret, which I found out while in intensive studying of the Holy Orchid Institute's library… It is called the Dark Ruins, precisely because there is an underground city under it!"
Xiao Ning'er and Feng Hao were dumbfounded,"Obviously, the city was thought to have died soon after the Age of Darkness, however, I found that laughable, the city at its peak had over twenty Legend Rank Demon Spiritualists, and I'm sure that they could protect themselves, since their city was underground."
Shen Tian looked around and said,"The Underground City, should have been constructed using Inscription Patterns of the highest level, after all it was known for their Array Masters in the first place!"
Xiao Ning'er's expression changed to one of awe, and then later to confuse,"But, after nearly a thousand years, why have they not tried to find out what lies in the surface? Their power should be far above that of Glory City!"
Shen Tian shook his head in disagreement,"Usually, that would've been the case. But… I am sure that the first thing the strongest people there wanted to solve was resources! After a thousand years of surviving in such a system, they were already familiar and comfortable with it!"
Feng Hao immediately understood to what Shen Tian was getting to,"So they fell to their own comfort...To their own power, ironic." Shen Tian still shook his head,"That's partially true, but they still are strong."
"A few months ago, I tried to send a spy, using a special technique of mine, to this city, but failed to find the way inside, however I could feel the city, but couldn't locate it properly." Shen Tian sighed.
Xiao Ning'er was in deep thoughts,"Then what do you think their current power is? I am indeed curious about it!" She looked at Shen Tian with a curious gaze, and the boy responded,"It's far above Glory City, it's even stronger than the peak they had reached a thousand years ago!"
"After a thousand years of peace, they had a golden age of prosperity probably, I am not sure if they have decayed or have grown beyond their original chains, but they should be stronger, after all there was little which could hurt them that deep!"
"For example, I believe they have a Demigod amidst their ranks, maybe even a dozen and more!" Shen Tian exclaimed after pondering for a while.
"Demigods?" Xiao Ning'er knitted her eyebrows, Feng Hao had a curious expression,"What is a Demigod?" He asked, and Shen Tian shrugged,"I have yet to find out properly myself, but no Legend Rank Demon Spiritualist can hurt us.You don't have worry."
"Now, we've rested enough, the Dark Ruins are not that far away, get up Ning'er, Feng Hao, we still need to find the gates to the city, don't think it's just going to be that easy." Shen Tian said as he stood up.
Xiao Ning'er pouted, they had only rest for about thirty minutes, which was a very small fraction of what they had walked before this,"Fine." She did not protest as she stood up, wiping the dust from her clothes.

Shen Xian took a deep breath, as he absorbed the Heavenly Energy around him, he was trying to achieve a breakthrough to the next star of the Legend Rank, he had already reached the fourth star of it.
However, he was having a bit of trouble to reach the next star, the Spiritual God Of Skies and Wind's legacy, had helped him a lot and despite it's will being… Rather troublesome to deal with he was growing accustomed to it.
However, it had finally ran out of energy to make it work, and it eventually had used all it's remaining energy in its core, to send a massive amount of Soul Force to bombard his Soul Realm, increasing his rank, making several Breakthroughs in a row.
The Dark Ruins, was far more mysterious than he had originally thought it was, for example, next to the temple, where the Spiritual God's legacy was located in, there was a massive underground city.
The hole he entered through, was the entrance to it, however he had taken a slight shortcut, and entered a small hole, which resulted in him entering the Spiritual God's Legacy Temple, and becoming who he was today.
Shen Xian wanted to leave the Dark Ruins, and this Underground City, however he still had to find a way to actually leave this temple in the first place, which annoyed him immensely, however he was not going to give up.
He had promised his son that he would go back to him, and as a man, he would uphold his oath, even if he would die trying to do it, he'd first finish his part of the oath, and then later die, he just had to see his son's face before dying.
He looked at a locket he had taken with him from when he was at Glory City, opening it, there was a picture of Shen Tian, he softly touched the picture with his fingers, smiling,"He's 13 now, I last saw him several years ago."
"I definitely look forward to looking at you grow again, my little heaven."
The doors to the Temple opened, as a mark appeared in Shen Xian's palm, he looked astonished as he waved his hand,"That's the mark of the Spiritual God's Legacy… It choose me it seems."
Shen Xian was free, and he was going to go meet his son again, and nothing was going to stop him from doing that, not with his current power, he was confident that only Ye Mo was stronger than him in Glory City.
