"Good, now we can go to the Infernal City, and confirm that the War Deity Temple is in war with the Demon Faction." Shen Tian had received the resources he wanted to get way before, from Ryu who gave him the entire Treasury Room of the Purgatory Shrine, which was now basically empty.
"Infernal City?" Xiao Qing'er tilted her head to the left, confused. "There was no city like that a billion years ago." She exclaimed, making Shen Tian almost roll his eyes,"Dummy, you haven't been outside for nearly a billion years, how the hell can a city survive for such a long time?Seriously…"
"The Infernal City was founded around twenty five thousand years ago, before the Infernal City existed, the Purgatory Lands had no stronghold to speak of. It was the first step humanity in this place took to fight the Demon Beasts, since then it has stood strong against the Demon Beast Hordes." Shen Tian said.
"It definitely seems an interesting city alright…" Xiao Qing'er exclaimed in surprise. "It's about thirty three thousand kilometers away from here, but we probably can reach it by tomorrow if we are not in a rush. I want to check the nature a bit, I still have two months and several days left for one of my problems."
*Roaaar!* Shen Tian's head moved instantly, checking his surroundings, his body followed. Xiao Qing'er yawned, her body was more durable than most Heavenly Axis Realm Cultivators, the apex of what any cultivator or Demon Beast could reach inside the Purgatory Lands, so she was not wary of anyone.
"Interesting...The cries and roars of Demon Beasts are coming from where the Infernal City is… Or to be exact the roars are heading towards the Infernal City." Shen Tian stated as he made several Shadow Clones, ordering each of them to spy on the Demon Beasts which were heading towards the Infernal City.

"HOLD THE WALLS!" A soldier above the walls of the Infernal City shouted as he used his own Soul Force to fight the climbing Demon Beasts. " LOOK ABOVE! THE FLYING TYPE DEMON BEASTS ARE TRYING TO PIERCE OUR WALL!" Another soldier roared as he held his spear very high, and thrust it forward.
*Screeeeech*
"They are actually throwing rocks on us." A soldier groaned as he formed a shield of Soul Force, which was easily broken by an almost one ton of weight rock. The soldier's head was cracked open as he fell on the ground, taking several other soldiers together with him. " They are overwhelming us…"
Another soldier was desperately trying to run away, only to be killed by another soldier, running away from the battlefield was forbidden in such a war, and if something like this happened the soldiers were required to kill the deserter. Unfortunately, this was a common issue in such a war, their resolve was too weak.
"Hold your formation, the captain went to Tower A to receive reinforcements! We need to hold Tower X for a larger period." One of the higher ranking soldiers shouted, using his Law Energy, the Law of Fire, to fight the Demon Beast. It seemed that he was a Demigod, but he was too weak, he was capable of dealing damage to some weak demon beasts, but the strong ones cracked his barrier.
The Infernal City was divided in over twelve towers, each possessing a Heavenly Fate Expert, who was a captain, and the strongest in the Infernal City was actually a half step Heavenly Star Realm cultivator, he was rumored to have ties to the Ancient Zhu Family, but nothing was confirmed as of now, it was merely rumors.
However… At the time he was required to fight over the Demon Beast Horde, which was the strongest among all the Demon Beast Hordes ever recorded to have attacked the Infernal City. This was insanely crazy. The fight included dozens of thousands of Human experts of different cultivation ranks.

"We are being pushed back… The northern gates have fallen to the Demon Beast Horde! We need reinforcement there!" The panicked yells of soldiers could be heard several hundred meters away. Most of them were not experienced with Demon Beast Hordes, since they rarely happened in the Infernal City.
Smoke started to reach the sky from the northern and southern gates, they had both been breached and those with the Sacred Flame Attribute continued to bombard the gates with flames, causing it to catch fire, and it was slowly scorching the sturdy walls of the Infernal City down.
"This is hopeless… Only god can save us now." One of the soldiers was extremely shaken, he started to lower his grip on the spear on his hands, and the support he was giving his body through his legs fell, and he fell on his buttocks. His eyes surveyed the area as tears slowly came out of them.
"God? That is very outstretched, why would he waste time to save people like you?" A silhouette appeared on front of the Demon Beast Horde, who were ready for to start another attack on the Infernal City. That silhouette was a heavenly looking Shen Tian who had a single finger raised on the sky.
"I am more than enough to deal with them."
