After The Abyss Dragon Woke Up Chapter 3.2

The tiny insect froze when it sensed the killing intent. It dared not make any more movements, lest it displease Shi An.

Shi An restrained the temptation to squash the small monster to death and slice open his skin using his sharp fingertips. A tiny drop of blood formed in the sliced area.

That drop of blood standing shakily on the young boy's skin was comparable to a grain-sized ruby, shining bewitchingly and strangely in the dark.

Beautiful and dangerous.

The trembling tiny insect tried to back away. However, Shi An grasped it firmly and, putting pressure on his finger, brought the drop of blood near it again.

“……” The cornered tiny insect could only tearfully swallow that drop of blood.

When the tiny insect swallowed all the blood, it kicked its legs, tilted its head and collapsed on Shi An's palm like a lifeless bead. At the same time, all the monsters in the banquet room were suddenly dead on their back with their faces skyward.

The teeth-clenching scratching noise stopped instantly, eerily silent filled the banquet room.

Shi An contentedly stowed the tiny insect into his pocket. Suddenly, flickering lights and footsteps mixed with the hostages' cries of liberation sounded behind him. A ray of light illuminated the entrance to the banquet room.

Wen Yao, who was standing at the entrance, was taken aback. She had not expected to find a human alive in the middle of the carnage. That human turned his head to look at her.

The young boy's skin was pale, his body half-grown, and his shoulders were skinny, radiating an air of fragility. His eyelashes and hair were a soft golden-brown colour. He squinted his eyes, uncomfortable with the sudden brightness.

The sticky scent of blood saturated the dark banquet room. Monsters' corpses littered the floor. Icy darkness and malevolence lurked everywhere. The entire room was as gruesome as hell on earth.

The young boy seems out of place with the banquet room and……unscathed.

Wen Yao tightened her grip on the torchlight and asked: “Are you okay?”

“Yes.” Shi An nodded, obedient to the point of being pitiful. His eyes were half-closed, a glimmer of satisfied smile brush across his lip, fleeting as the light——I am more than okay!

Twenty minutes later.

Shi An sat on the roadside with a cup of hot milk in his hand, wrapped snugly in a thick blanket that showed only his head. The old butler beside him was rambling about something while he absentmindedly looked down, occasionally responding to the ramblings.

Suddenly, a pair of shoes appeared in front of him.

“Shi An, you're here.” The man's voice was unusually cold and emotionless. “Then there's no need to find you personally and repeat a second time.”

“?” Shi A glanced up while holding his milk.

“I heard you passed the test. Not bad,” Shi Ze Chun acknowledged indifferently. Then his tone shifted, containing intimidation. “In that case, your little brother, Shi Rui, will also enroll into the school with you. Help him out in school. Do not fight. Remember your place. Understand?”

“……” The old butler clenched his fist, wordlessly angry. He had not thought the Master would be this uncaring——that the first thing he did after his legitimate son narrowly escaped death was to censure Shi An, so he that would not stand in his illegitimate son's way.

“……Okay,” Shi An slowly replied. He tried to recall who this man was, but a moment later, he sheepishly asked: “……Erm, you are?”

“……” A vein throbbed on Shi Ze Chun's temple. His voice carried a bit of anger when he said, “Shi An, don't think this will——”

“My apologies for interrupting.” Wen Yao's voice sounded from behind them.

Unable to continue releasing his anger, Shi Ze Chun turned around with a darkened face——and instantly recognized the man standing behind Wen Yao. He felt his blood freeze and took a step back without thinking.

“Chief.” Wen Yao turned and greeted the man behind her. “This boy was the closest hostage.”

The man was tall and statuesque, radiating a bloodthirsty air as cold and sharp as a blade. His skin was pale, and his long silver hair, tied up at the back, flowed down like mercury.

Mu Heng lowered his eyes unhurriedly. His eyes were an icy steel blue colour under his silvery-white eyelashes. His gaze was as chilly as a blade quenched in the snow when he silently contemplated the two people in front of him.

“Shi An?” His voice was also as cold as his person; deep and impassive, with a metallic texture.

Shi An raised his head at the question and gradually, his eyes widened. Instincts belonging to the dragon race pushed all his other thoughts to one side, not leaving a single gap.

——WOW!

——Bright! Glitter! Shiny!
