Addicted to you Chapter 125: Shin's dark persona

Back in the hospital, Yeri fell asleep on the couch so Shin gently carried her and tucked her to bed.

"Shin?" Yeri rubbed her eyes, feeling drowsy.

"sorry, did i wake you up?"

"You should go to the casino, didn't Dr. Neri came back because you asked him to treat me? don't worry about me, i'll be fine."

"Go back to sleep, i'm not going anywhere... plus that idiot don't like casinos and night outs, he'll probably leave after an hour or two." Shin answered Yeri but the latter already drifted back to sleep, he initially agreed with Jie's plan tonight since Zahn returned because of his request but what's the point of that if his wifey is unwell tonight? he will just return the favor some other time.

Shin gently trailed light kisses in her hand, his normally menacing and empty eyes like that of an abyss, now gleamed like the magical and dazzling stars of the night sky.

Shin stared at Yeri's peaceful face for sometime before he walked towards the balcony to smoke, uneasiness suddenly crept his heart.

Yeri has yet to know that he has a multiple personality disorder because of the abuse he suffered from the Keirs, primarily because of Alec.

Truth is, aside from his mother's death, he barely have any recollection of his early childhood to teenage years because of the demons he created to protect himself against Alec, he even forgot why that dark persona would also take over his sanity whenever women approaches him.

But only with Yeri...only with her, he can be normal and at peace, he can just be one, she's like the missing piece who put back his shattered self together.

However the banquet incident triggered something inside of him, he started having this bizarre dream of a burning sword engraved with odd symbols and everytime he woke up from that dream, he feels a strong desire to monopolize and lock her up.

If Yeri finds out all of this, will she stop liking him?

What Yeri witness at that time when he almost killed that unknown woman pretending to be his fiancee was nothing but just the tip of the iceberg, else she won't be here with him now if she realize what's wrong with him.

"Yeri, all i wanted is for you to stay safe and happy with me...so please, don't hate me." Shin took a deep breath and gaze at the night sky, the matter with Alec might unchain the demons lurking within him.

After he calmed himself, Shin took out his phone and tried calling Tristan but unable to reached him so he just hounded him with messages to divert his thoughts.

[I sent you the money now send me the pictures!]

[f*ck why are you so slow??? where are my pictures?!]

[by the way, where did you get her pictures? why the f*ck they have my wife's picture? did you kill them after you got the pictures?]

Meanwhile at Lake Zurich City...

Xian stealthily walked down the stairs carrying only a black leathercase bag, he's almost at the door when the light from the living room lit up.

"Where are you going at this hour?" a deep, authoritative voice resonated.

"You already know, why are you still asking?" Xian sighed in frustration.

"Insolence! is this how you repay your family?! as my youngest son, I expected a lot from you Xian, you are a failure!"

Xian sneered, "I'll never regret my decision to become a Professor, you can't change my mind Mayor Song."

Earl Song angrily stood up from his chair and took long strides towards him. "I never asked you to be a politician but at least manage our business! and Sin City? have you lost your mind?! you'll never succeed there, those maggots will just suppress you!"

"my profession has nothing to do with the Keirs...I have to go Mayor Song, thank you for everything." Xian opened the door and headed to his car parked outside.

"Xian!"

Xian halted but didn't bothered to look back, "If you decide to run as a Prime Minister for next year's election, you still have my support."

"At least say goodbye to your mother and brothers." his father asked.

"Why do you think i'm leaving at this hour?" Xian scoffed and get on his car, not waiting for his father to retort back.

Sin City is a 5 hour drive from Lake Zurich so he should arrive there at daybreak. As a computer professor of the country's prestigious school, they have already prepared everything for him including the place for him to stay.

While driving, Xian recalled his unexpected meeting with Yeri Zhi at the hospital and he can't helped but chuckle.

He started teaching back in highschool only as a hobby but then he gradually came to love it, although highschool students are normally childish and unruly, what he didn't expect is to develop affection with a certain student.

Back then, Yeri always had this unfriendly and mean aura that girls even few female teachers dislike her, he himself also misunderstood her at first.

If she's not beating up a female classmate, he would sometimes caught her throwing someone's sports uniform in a trash, locked a student in a comfort room or asked her fandom of boys to do something for her, etc. but no matter how much he reprimanded her, she would always looked indifferent and apathetic about it.

Before he realize it, his sight would always looked for her and it was then he found out that Yeri only retaliated to those who started it.

Not long after, he got close to her that he would often cover up her wrong doings, he thought he's just protecting her as a teacher since she don't have any school friends but he was only fooling himself.

He was actually shocked and horrified when he felt jealous seeing her hanging out with male students, she was just 15 years old! how could he develop such feelings towards his student?!

Xian thought what he felt for Yeri was just infatuation and so he left the country to prioritize his career but seeing her again after 3 years...
