"Grandpa, welcome back." Venice politely bowed, greeting the Patriarch.

"Father, i'll ask the servant to brew your favorite tea." Madam Zhi gently smiled and stepped out of the study room.

Mo Zhi nodded, the conversation went in circle again as he queried over the matter.

"Old Master Zhi, my daughter made a mistake but isn't this punishment too much? she's also a Zhi, she never did anything wrong that would tarnish the family name, how-" Hei Ryung wanted to hint that they are the bullied members within the Zhi hierarchy but Venice immediately cut her off.

"Mother, I don't really mind. Uncle Klaus is right, i acted without thinking. I almost place our clans reputation at risk." Venice refuted her mother, she already gone this far and now that the Elders are back, she can't afford to make any mistakes.

"Hei Ryung you'd been with the family for years, you should know how we strictly implement the rules. Since Klaus already decided and Venice has no qualms about it then both of you can leave now, anyway you're still receiving financial support and as a mother you should look after Venice." Mo Zhi concluded.

Hei Ryung looked unyielding, how can she go shopping if she will shoulder her daughter's expenses as well?! as a woman of the upper class she have to maintain her image, otherwise her friends will look down on her!

"We understand Grandpa, we will take our leave now." Venice softly spoken and urge her mother to leave.

Once they left, Mo Zhi heave a sigh of relief. "I was just gone for a while and that troublemaker is up to something again."

"weren't you the one who decided to keep her?" Klaus asked displeasingly.

"Sometimes you'll be suprised what an ignorant person can do. It's better to keep her on a leash and supervise than not knowing what she's up to." Mo Zhi lectured his son. "What do you think of Venice? It seems she's now matured than before she left abroad."

"She's your responsibility, control her well." Klaus sounded uninterested.

"so you think she's lying then? are you certain Yeri doesn't have any boyfriend? she's the only heiress of this family, we can't afford any scandal or relationships that i don't approve!"

"I'm already looking into the matter, don't interfere."

Madam Zhi then came in followed by a servant carrying a tray of cookies and tea.

Mo Zhi scoffed and didn't delve into the matter further, he turned his attention to Zenia and blabbered about his travel.

Klaus went to the balcony to make a call, he's not certain if his request will be granted for legal reasons but decided to give it a try.

Sooner his call connected and a male voice answered. "Secretary Yun, speaking. Who is this?"

"Secretary Yun, how are you? This is Klaus Zhi, i'm hoping to speak with CEO Keir, if possible."

"Of course CEO Zhi, let me just check if the CEO is in his office." Secretary Yun scurried towards Yeri's hospital room (office huh?), since CEO Zhi directly called his mobile no. could it be an emergency or personal matter?

Shin looked hostile when Secretary Yun suddenly barged in, his wifey is sleeping. Why is he so noisy?

Secretary Yun halted, swallowing hard. "B-Boss? CEO Zhi is on the line-"

Shin abruptly took the phone and went outside the balcony.

"CEO Zhi, this is Shin Keir." Shin gleefully answered.

"Thank you for taking my call, CEO Keir, hopefully i didn't disturb you."

"not at all, how can i help you?"

"It's in relation to that hidden camera you found from my daughter's hospital room. I was wondering if i can have a copy of the cctv footage of the banquet." Klaus asked, he doesn't like the idea of asking favor but if he will go through the normal procedure, not only it will take time but it's more likely they will immediately decline.

"CEO Zhi, i apologize but if it's the one were the terrorist attacked, most of the cctv's were destroyed and the police obtained the rest."

"I'm not after that, i just want to know my daughter's whereabouts before the incident." Klaus answered straightforwardly.

"hmm, alright i'll see what i can do. I will let you know tomorrow CEO Zhi." Shin tried to sound uncertain.

"Thank you CEO Keir, I know this matter is personal and involves company compliance. If it's not possible i can understand."

As expected of his Father-in-law, he might sound understanding but Shin can discern the underlying meaning of his last sentence, he's actually testing the extent of his capability as a CEO.

Is he just the company puppet or he runs the company?

After the call ended, Shin looked triumphant, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction. Father-in-law is relying on him!

Shin happily returned the phone back to Secretary Yun, things are going according to his plan. "Remember that video i prepared? just run another security check and make sure it's exactly what i wanted. I need it tomorrow 6am sharp."

"...." Secretary Yun nodded. What is his Boss up to this time? The other day, he bombarded the Vertice Hotel management asking for the cctv footage.

Does that mean he's already expecting that CEO Zhi will contact him about it?
