"Dr. Neri shouldn't we stop him?" Secretary Yun anxiously asked, with just the 3 of them inside, he's ready to call 30 more people just to stop his Boss.

"no, it's tiring." Zahn refused, still focus on the piece of paper.

Soon after, a loud banging at the door can be heard followed by Yeri's angry voice.

Shin halted but still seething with anger, just the thought of losing Yeri...

What if he wasn't close to her at that time? like he went to the comfort room or prepared her food? it was just a seconds difference, even if he's just nearby with Yeri unable to walk yet, he won't make it on time.

He almost lost her, his heart, his everything!

"you should talk to her..." Zahn spoke seeing Shin finally stopped. "Once her parents visits again, i'll tell them her old room is under renovation."

"sorry, i'll send someone to fix your office."

Zahn felt slightly startled, Shin Keir actually apologize? he's more human now than before, must be the girlfriend effect?

"that person is back?" He just got acquainted with Shin during college so he never really met Shin's older step-brother but he know that person is the reason behind Shin's psychotic behavior.

"not possible, there's a 10 billion reward on his head, it must be those people." Shin gritted his teeth.

"Then i'll find these people."

"no need, they won't make another move unless i'm present." Shin calmed himself and opened the door.

"I insist." Zahn stand firm, a cold glint flashed his eyes. Who asked them to used his hospital for their scheme?

"Shin Keir! what is wrong with you?!" Yeri yelled, the doctor earlier clearly said he fractured both his hands from slamming against the wall and yet it look more horrible now. Is he planning to cripple his hands?!

She already find it unfair that they're leaving her out of the discussion but upon seeing Shin's bleeding hands, her disappointment turned into an outrage.

"let's go check your new room." Shin acted nonchalant and wheeled Yeri out. "the view isn't as good as the previous one since you'll be moving from the 10th to 5th floor, if you don't like it, i'll arrange another room for you."

"...."

"I had them installed sensors and detectors, the glass walls are bullet resistant and-"

"shut-up!" Yeri snapped. "if you don't want to tell me, fine! just shut-up!"

There was a dead silence till they reached the new room, Yeri know Shin just wanted to protect her but what's the point of keeping her in the dark? is she that helpless or dumb for him not to trust her? is he expecting her to just act like a wallflower after everything that happened?

If this is his love then she don't want it!

Shin couldn't bare seeing Yeri's sad state, he felt his heart breaking into a million shards. He knew it won't be long till his enemies, especially that person would find out Yeri's existence but why did it have to happened when she's still recuperating and they're still at the early stage of their relationship.

Once she know her life is in danger because of him, will she change her mind and hate him?

Shin took some cotton and disenfectant lying around and kneeled in front of Yeri. "Wifey, will you help me with my wounds?"

Yeri sighed, she's really mad at him but she also can't stand seeing his hands, afterall he got injured because he protected her.

"your hands should be treated by a Doctor, not just some bandage and alcohol." she gently wipe Shin's hands with a cotton, complaining about the wounds from time to time. "this one need stitches and this too...did Dr. Neri checked your other wounds?"

"Alec Keir."

Yeri paused, she can feel Shin's dark aura errupting again.

"Oldest son of Allister Keir and his deceased wife..." Shin fell silent for a moment, his deadly eyes fixated on his hands. "he's also the person who killed my mother."

"...." Yeri felt stunned, clearly Shin don't want to acknowledge that person as his step-brother, she recalled Shin's still young when his mother died, moreover, she was pregnant.

Does that mean his step-brother did that at a young age?!

Yeri wanted to ask Shin a lot of questions, like how did his mother died? what happened to his father's wife? how did he know his step-brother is the one responsible for his mother's death? and a whole lot of questions clouding her mind but she can tell from his voice and aura that this is his real pain, his darkest days and abyss.

This also made her realize that she barely know anything about Shin's life.

"I don't know where he's hiding but he found you, he's now aware who you are to me."

"so what happened today..." Yeri curiously looked at Shin.

"I can protect you! I promise you that, your family and friends, everyone that you care just tell me-" Shin assured her, firmly grasping her hands.

"Shin stop! that's not-"

"you have nothing to be afraid of, I'm not that same weak kid anymore! he can't touch you, just please...don't break-up with me." Shin continued to reassured her.

"...." Yeri slightly panic with Shin desperately clutching her hand while kneeling, anyone looking at them will most likely think she's an evil wife bullying her husband.

"Shin, will you listen? first of all, I am not afraid of your bro- that Alec person, second, thank you for saving me earlier, it wasn't your fault, alright? and I'm sorry about your mother."

"you still like me?" Shin asked, looking at her with puppy eyes.

Yeri rolled her eyes, pretending she isn't affected. "Shin will you stand up? aren't you the great CEO Shin Keir? it's not good if others see you like this."

"so you still like me?"

"...." grrrr this bipolar jerk!

"so you still like-"

"y-yes!" Yeri annoyingly glared at Shin recalling her blunder, her face turned red again.

Shin stood up grinning from ear to ear, gone all the sadness and fear he just displayed. "I love you Wifey!"

"...." did he just tricked her?
