Yeri sniffed and continued mumbling. "you always say you're perfect, then why would you love someone who can't even equal your wealth?"

"are you kidding me? your face value is worth billions."

"Shin, i'm serious!" Yeri angrily snapped at Shin wanting to walk out, this bipolar jerk is really taking advantage of the fact that she can't walk yet!

"Wifey, which part of you isn't perfect? look, even your face perfectly fits within my hands." Shin cupped her face and kisses her eyes. "I know what love is, because of you. Other things doesn't matter, remember that."

Yeri bit her bottom lip to stop herself from smiling, since when did he learned to say mushy words? and shockingly, she's actually buying it!

"will you ever change your mind someday?" her voice sounded hesitant.

"No...but in case wifey isn't convince we can always collect our marriage certificate-"

"Shin!" Yeri shouted, hitting his chest, must he act like an annoying capitalist?

"do you think i'm joking?" Shin asked, his gaze full of sincerity.

"...." stupid heart! what the hell are you fluttering about?

Shin wickedly grinned seeing Yeri's angry face, his wifey is so pretty!

"Wifey-" Shin was about to say something when he suddenly heard a distant, resonating sound, his agile mind quickly perceived their dangerous situation and without any delay and reluctance, he firmly hugged Yeri and ducked down on the floor.

"Shin-" Yeri didn't got the chance to ask what's going on, when the glass wall panels behind them vibrated and suddenly shattered.

Shin didn't waste any second after and swiftly stood up to run towards the door, carrying Yeri like a princess.

He just manage to open the door when a blinding explosion hurled them against the hallway wall followed by the alarms wailing incessantly.

Yeri cough from the smoke and dust, she feel dizzy from the impact and the high-pitched ringing on her ears.

Shin staggered to stand up, still carrying her. "are you ok?!" he anxiously asked.

Yeri nodded and wrapped her arms around Shin's neck, they just walked out of the grey area and clearly seeing Shin's condition horrified her. "S-Shin?"

Shin's forehead and ear are bleeding profusely, wounds visible from the torned clothes on his arms and shoulders.

What about his back? Yeri anxiously thought.

"don't worry, i always wear a bulletproof vest so my back is fine." Shin slightly smiled understanding her concern. "although i'm happy to see that you're worried about me."

"What's there to be happy about? just look at you! we have to see Dr. Neri or any other Doctor soon, you're bleeding!" Yeri scolded him.

Hospital guards and nurses scurried to run towards them while others went to check for other injured patients.

Zahn just finished operating a patient when he was told of what happened, when he arrived to another ER, he saw Yeri sitting outside on a wheelchair, Secretary Yun and two of Shin's bodyguards.

"what happened?" Zahn asked.

Yeri blankly looked at Zahn, aside from feeling dizzy earlier, she don't feel any pain at all nor she have any wounds or scratches. Shin cocooned her, blocking the explosion and her impact against the wall.

Is someone trying to kill her or Shin? Yeri couldn't stop thinking.

The ER doors suddenly opened with Shin walking out, wearing a new suit brought by Secretary Yun.

"Y-Young Master Keir, you still need blood transfusion." the doctor nervously said following him, looking distressed.

"I don't need it." Shin glared at the Doctor and turned to Secretary Yun. "did you found something?"

Secretary Yun just nodded.

"Shin, the Doctor said you still need blood transfusion!" Yeri wheeled closer, she could feel Shin's dark aura violently errupting.

Shin ruffled her hair, gazing at her with a loving expression. "I'm fine."

"ahem! Dr. Neri, does Young Master Keir has congenital insensitivity to pain?" the doctor who treated Shin muttered to Zahn, he had never stitched a patient who refused a sedative or any painkillers.

"no, he's just numb." Zahn briefly answered.

"...." numb? is he a monster? the doctor look speechless.

Later at Zahn's office, Secretary Yun brought out the evidence they have gathered from the room.

"Boss, we found this broken pieces of a drone, they attached a powerful amplifier to release a sound wave that stimulated the right resonant frequency enough to break the glass walls, the drone itself was also a time bomb but the blast range was designed to produce a minimal damage." Secretary Yun explained.

"minimal damage?" Shin coldly asked.

"so the blast range is specifically the room itself, just enough to kill whoever is in there." Zahn interrupted.

Secretary Yun nervously confirmed, feeling a murderous atmosphere suffocating the office. Who would dare tried to kill the Young Miss with their Boss presence? Is this still related to the previous incident?

"B-Boss, apart from the drones broken pieces, we also found this battery size metal tube, i think it's a canister."

Shin ominously stared at the familiar metal tube, his insides wanted to wreak havoc.

Secretary Yun tried to open it but couldn't figure out how, is there some password or tools needed to open it?

"give it to me." Zahn asked.

"Dr. Neri this metal tube might contain toxic gas or poison, It's very dangero-" Secretary Yun was unable to finish his words when Shin swiftly snatched it, snapping the tube to open.

Shin took out a piece of paper inside the tube, ignoring Secretary Yun's paper white face.

😱 Boss! stop giving me a heart attack. If something happened to you, i'll be skinned alive! Secretary Yun complained in his heart.

After reading the message, Shin suddenly flew into an uncontrollable rage, thrashing all the things around him.

"...." did he forgot this is my office? Zahn thought but didn't bothered to stop Shin knowing his personality, he picked up the piece of paper who cause the demon king's rampage.

"that person is back?" Zahn muttered.
