The head of the Imperial Infirmary, Bai Yu gazed at the young physicians around him . He cleared his throat and began speaking .

Every two days, Head Physician Bai would gather everyone around for an assembly . During this time, he would brief everyone on their daily task, and the news he got from His Majesty regarding the infirmary .

Mingyue stood among the crowd as she listened to the Physician's words .

Surprised gasped could be heard across the room . Some of the physicians began to discuss among themselves what was going to happen next . They were sure that some of them were going to be sent out to aid the victim .

Small voices of displeasure could be heard among them . Not many were willing to go to the western region .

"Silence!" One of the elders spoke . His face showed anger . "You were the Imperial Infirmary physicians! We must save the people . It should be our honor to be sent out to help the victim . If I heard one more word of complaints, be ready to pack up your belongings and get out of the Imperial Infirmary!"

Bai Yu glanced towards the elder and nodded . Then, he turned his gaze to the crowd before him . "The name of physician who will be going to aid this disaster will be posted on the board shortly . If anyone wanted to volunteer, you can come and see me . "

The crowd disappeared as soon as the briefing ended . The senior physician went straight to their daily task while the younger generation went straight to check the names on the notice board .

Mingyue went with Ying Yi to check on the list . Mingyue's face remained unchanged when she did not see their name on the list . She had guessed that the Infirmary would not assign her anywhere as she was looking after the Princess .

Mingyue turned when she felt someone tugging on her sleeves . Ying Yi was looking at her with her bright eyes . Then she moved her hands to say something .

"You're right . You will get the chance to learn a lot if you go with them . " Mingyue turned to Ying Yi and smiled . "Do you want to go?"

Ying Yi lowered her gaze as she hesitated . Then, she raised her head and nodded slowly .

"I can talk to Head Physician Bai for you . But you will have to be strong and take care of yourself . I can't join them as I still have to look after the Princess . "

Ying Yi nodded again .

"Xiao Ying Yi, you might get bullied by the other physician, and I won't be around to protect you . Do you think you will be alright?"

Ying Yi thought over it for a moment and nodded .

"Then, I will talk to the Head Physician," Mingyue said .

They turned around and was about to leave towards the herbs garden when Mingyue noticed a familiar figure, leaning on the wall with his eyes closed .
