"But this is the first time my brother let you lead on an expedition after your appointment as the team captain . I just can't help but worry . " Mingyue said .

"It's good that he is willing to trust me to take care of this rescue mission," Yang Yun said . "If I can complete the task properly, the general will have his trust in me a little bit more . "

Mingyue let out a soft sigh . She knew what Yang Yun was trying to say .

Among her brothers, her elder brother was the one who doted on her the most . But when Yang Yun and her started dating, he was the one who was against them the most .

Not because he did not like Yang Yun, but because he was concerned about her . Her brother was worried that Yang Yun would bully her and make her unhappy . Knowing the nature of his job, he was afraid that someday, he would make her sad .

That was why he always gave Yang Yun a hard time, especially since he is a part of his elite troop . He wanted to see if he is worthy of his sister .

"I will do my best and return . "

"Promise me?" She watched him nodded and lowered her gaze . Her grip on his hand tightened . "When will you depart?"

Mingyue paused to look at him . She didn't think that he would depart too soon . But she also understood that with the Minister's son's life on the line, they could not afford to waste much time .

Her thought and worries suddenly disappeared when she felt something warm on her forehead . Her ears turned red when she realized that he had kissed her forehead on the busy street .

Mingyue lowered her gaze in an attempt to hide from others watching gaze . Then, she pulled his hands and sprinted until they have arrived at her grandpa's place .

When she looked at him again, she saw him watching her with amusement with the corner of his lips curved up . She released his hands and took a few steps back from him . "Shameless . "

He grabbed her wrist and pulled her closer to him . Soon, her face burrowed on his chest .

"Accompany me for a while before I depart?" he asked

She felt her body stiffened . She could feel his breath against her ears as he spoke . She created a small distance between them and tried to wriggle her hands away from him . Then she looked at him with a pout when she failed .

His smile gradually widened knowing that she had stopped trying to break free from him because she was too shy .

With her skills and strength, he believed that she can always escape him without difficulties . After all, it wasn't like his grip on her hands was too powerful . He definitely won't do anything to harm her .

"You don't need to get ready for tonight?"

"I have packed everything that I need," Yang Yun said . "I still have time before meeting with the guys . "

Mingyue closed her eyes and nodded . "I need to help grandpa with a few things first . Will you wait for me?"
